Microsoft Surface Pro 7 – What To Expect From The Future 2-in-1 Device?

Since 2012 when the Microsoft Surface lineup has launched, the giant tech company rolled out many Surface devices, including Surface Book, Laptop, the portable Surface Go, and so on. However, the Surface Pro remained unchanged over time, boasting the same design since the first model rolled out. The future Microsoft Surface Pro 7 2-in1 device could come out with a revamped design, USB-C, and many more. Let’s see what the upcoming Surface Pro 7 might bring.

First, you should know that we don’t have any official information from Microsoft regarding its future Surface Pro 2-in-1 device, so everything presented here comes from rumors. Thus, take everything with a grain of salt until Microsoft comes out with some official details about the Microsoft Surface Pro 7.

What To Expect From The Future Microsoft Surface Pro 7?

Microsoft Surface Pro 7 to come with a slimmer design

As we’ve already mentioned above, the design of the Microsoft Surface Pro lineup has not changed much since the launch of the first model. Surface Pro 7, however, might come out with a revamped design. According to a patent filed by Microsoft, it’s possible that the upcoming Microsoft Surface Pro 7 to equip a slimmer and redesigned Type Cover with haptic feedback.

Also, the device would come with thinner bezels. In addition to all that, the height of the Surface Pro 7 would be reduced, suggesting a significant change in comparison with the previous generation models.

Would Surface Pro 7 equip USB-C?

While the majority of the other Microsoft’s modern tablets and laptops come with both USB-A and USB-C, Surface Pro models don’t boast a USB-C port. However, the lineup’s fans would love to see USB-C on Surface Pro 7. But how possible would that be?

A patent filed in May 2018 by Microsoft, suggested that the future Microsoft Surface Pro 7 would equip a special magnetic USB-C cable for charging. Accordingly, Surface Pro 7 would indeed boast USB-C but with a tweak.

Microsoft Surface Pro 7 might pack Whiskey Lake or Ice Lake CPUs

Back in 2018, Surface Pro 6 was the first in the series to pack new-gen quad-core CPUs, but not the latest Whiskey Lake processors. Therefore, Microsoft Surface Pro 7 would be the first to boast either Whiskey Lake or Ice Lake CPUs. Undoubtedly, that would be a significant addition from Microsoft as it would boost the performance of the upcoming Surface Pro 7.

Besides, since Surface Pro 6 launched in October 2018, we should expect Microsoft Surface Pro 7 to come out in October this year, too. However, Microsoft might delay the launch of Surface Pro 7 to 2020.

Microsoft Surface Pro 7 will be 20% Thinner than its Predecessor: When will it be Released?

Microsoft will launch its own flagship device in 2019, and that is the Microsoft Surface Pro 7. Its coming out is supposed to be in October this year based on what expectations indicate. Four months ago the Surface Pro 6 came out, but even though it did not happen too much time ago, speculations about the next member of the series are getting more and more day by day.

Microsoft Surface Pro 7: What to Expect?

The Surface Pro series of devices is considered a major innovation in technology. Many even think that the future of technology stays in these devices. The traditional computers are said to be replaced by these convertible 2-in-1 innovations.

The Surface Pro 6, the latest version of the Surface Pro tablet, came out last year in October. Let’s see what we expect from the 2019 model:

Design: Regarding the design, we expect the Microsoft Surface Pro 7 to be thinner than its predecessors. In addition to that, the 2019 variant is also likely to come with a thinner keyboard. The design itself is expected to be similar to Apple’s recent iPad Pro devices. Its overall shape is expected to be more rounded than previously.

Specifications: Compared to the version from last year, Microsoft Surface Pro 7 is expected to be thinner with 20%. However, we should not expect too much of a change in the specifications department. However, the built-in storage and the processor might get improved. In addition to this, nothing else should be expected.

When is Microsoft Surface Pro 7 release date expected?

Are you excited for this tablet? Then you should know that the Microsoft Surface Pro 7 is expected to be released around the same time as in 2018.  Usually, the flagships the company wants to produce will be announced early in Q4. Nothing should be changed this year regarding this.

Microsoft Surface Pro 7 – Here’s Everything We Know So Far

Surface Pro 6 rolled out about four months ago, but speculations on the upcoming Microsoft Surface Pro 7 are already shaping up on the Internet. We expect the next-gen device to be thinner than its predecessor and a more performant processor and higher internal storage. Here’s everything we know so far about Microsoft Surface Pro 7.

What To Expect From Microsoft Surface Pro 7?

Undoubtedly, the Surface Pro series of Microsoft represents a significant improvement in technology, in general, and in convertible tablet, in particular. While Surface Pro 6, which rolled out in October 2018, was well-received by customers, we also expect Microsoft Surface Pro 7 to be very appreciated once it launches this year.

Regarding the design, Microsoft Surface Pro 7 would come out with a thinner case, slimmer bezels around the display, and rounded corners. Some expect that Surface Pro 7 to look similar to Apple’s iPad Pro tablets. Also, the keyboard of the Surface Pro 7 would be thinner than that of Surface Pro 6.

As for the technical specs, Surface Pro 7 would boast either 8 or 16 GB of RAM, similar to the last year’s Surface Pro 6, but it would come with a larger storage unit and more performant processor. The device might come out with other changes as well, but at the moment we heard nothing about them.

Microsoft Surface Pro 7 Release Date

The 2018 Surface Pro 6 came out in October of the last year. Rumors indicate that Microsoft Surface Pro 7 would roll out in Q4 2019, most likely, in October 2019, too. Accordingly, we expect Microsoft Surface Pro 7 to launch in October 2019, although it might come out later this year.

Nonetheless, along with the rollout of Microsoft Surface Pro 7 tablet-computer device, we expect the giant tech company to launch a new Surface laptop and a Surface Go device, as well. The Surface Go series is Microsoft’s mid-range, affordable-priced tablets lineup.
