Android Pie Update for Motorola, HTC and Samsung phones – When Can You Get It

Many of us were impatiently waiting for the newest OS for Android and now it’s finally here. But can you already get Android Pie on your device? And when? Luckily for you, we have the answers to these questions. Some manufacturers have already announced when their devices will get the new operating system. So let’s take a look at when Pie will become available for different devices.

Google

It should be obvious that the tech giant would not make people who have their phones wait for the update. So Pixel, Pixel XL, Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL already have Android P.

Essential

This company was part of the Android P beta program and now Essential phones get to be upgraded to Pie.

Motorola

In case you own a Motorola phone, you will need to wait a little bit more. Based on what we know from the manufacturer, Moto Z3, Moto Z3 Play, Moto Z2 Force Edition, Moto Z2 Play, Moto X4, Moto G6 Plus, Moto G6 and Moto G6 Play will become eligible for the newest update in the autumn, though no specific data was given.

HTC

The company mentioned that there is no official date yet for when HTC U12+, HTC U11, HTC U11+ and HTCU11 will get Pie, but it should happen a little bit later, at the appropriate time.

Samsung

It is expected for discussions about the updates for Galaxy S9, S9+ and Note 9 to take place around March, and then few months later for the upgrade to become available for Samsung devices.

Sony

Devices from Sony will also get Pie in the autumn, so you should expect the update to become available in November. However, this only applies to the following devices: Xperia XZ2, Xperia XZ2 Premium, Xperia XZ2 compact, Xperia XZ Premium, XZ1 and XZ1 Compact. But if you have either XA2, XA2 Ultra or XA2 Plus, you will have a chance to upgrade to Pie in early 2019.

OnePlus

Even though OnePlus was included in the Android P beta program, the new upgrade has not reached their devices. OnePlus 6, OnePlus 5/5T and OnePlus 3/3T should start getting the new OS, exactly in this order, in the following months.

LG

Unfortunately, the company has not provided any updates about when their phones will get the new Android P. We might have to wait a little bit longer for this.

BlackBerry Key 2 vs. Samsung Galaxy Note 9 – Durability and Productivity Comparison

Productivity is Samsung Galaxy Note 9’s primary goal. From its S Pen which is enabled by Bluetooth to the DeX Mode recently integrated, this phone makes you work harder. Can it be compared to the new BlackBerry Key2? Let’s see!

Charging, performance, and battery life

Both the Samsung and the BlackBerry will get you through an entire day no matter how demanding you are. Despite the Key2 having a 500mAh smaller battery than Note’s 4,000mAh one, it still got some excellent stamina because it is also smaller and has a less powerful processor. They charge pretty fast as well giving you 3-4 hours of battery even though it charged only for 15 minutes. The advantage Note 9 has over its rival is its wireless charging.

This round’s winner is Samsung Galaxy Note 9.

Durability and design

Everything is more evident when it comes to durability. Note 9 is made all out of glass which does not get along with the floor. However, Key2 got an aluminum body, so it is less likely to break if dropped. The Note 9 has also gained a certificate from IP68 which makes is undestroyable to a drop in the water. On the other side, Key2 is not good at swimming so water might end its life for good.

Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is again the winner.

Samsung Galaxy Note 9 wins

Taking into account the arguments above, Samsung Galaxy Note 9 can be considered the winner. BlackBerry Key2 is not a bad phone because it also has good productivity features but its specs are just not enough to beat Note 9’s DeX mode. If you are in search of a productivity workhorse, you will not go wrong with either of this phones. You can even save some money with the BlackBerry.

WhatsApp for Samsung – How to Fix Any Crashes

There was a time when Samsung phones experienced some problems with WhatsApp, especially on Galaxy S8, where the app was regularly crashing. Luckily, anyone can easily fix these glitches as long as they have the necessary knowledge and tools, so there is no need to worry about these bugs anymore.

How can you fix the errors

One thing that you should note is that whenever you encounter recurrent crashes on a third party app, you have more chances to fix the error by yourself, as what you are experiencing is most likely just a small problem. On the other hand, when a pre-installed app starts acting crazy and you start noticing various errors, then you could have a problem with the firmware. So what can you do in order to fix these crashes? We’ll share you with some of the things that you can do effortlessly in order to put an end to the problem.

Restart your device

The first thing that you should always do whenever you experience a problem with an app is to restart your phone. This will allow all apps that are running in the background to close, and in this way, the memory of your Samsung device will be refreshed.

Try clearing the cache and data of WhatsApp

This is the next step that you should take, as resetting the app will bring it to its default settings. In case there were any corrupted caches and data files within the app, the restart will allow for them to be replaced. Have no worries about this, as this step will not affect any of your data and files, since they are saved in the WhatsApp servers.

If nothing seems to work, uninstall and reinstall the app

Removing and fixing third-party apps is not a difficult task at all, so you can easily try to uninstall the app from your phone if none of the above steps worked for you. Like this, any pre-existing problems with the app will be completely gone. Once you do this, you just have to install the app again.

We know that all Samsung devices seem to encounter some problems with WhatsApp, however, if you use any other Android mobile device, you can use the above-mentioned solutions as well.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 vs. Galaxy Tab S4 – Short Comparison Review

Although nowadays when you hear about tablets your brain starts thinking about Apple’s products, the iPad isn’t the only tablet on the market. Such devices also come with an Android OS, although they seem to be fewer as the years go by. Apparently only Samsung and Huawei are constantly releasing tablets with high-performance results.

The reasons why this is happening vary but a big one is represented by how Google doesn’t make it easy for people to develop apps that work on tablets. That’s why Samsung has put a stop on this with its latest tablet, the Galaxy Tab S4. It comes with a built-in DeX interface which will allow anyone to connect their tablet to a keyboard and with this they would gain what is called ‘Android desktop mode’.

Before you start looking for features and compare this model with its competitors, let us first put it against its predecessor, the Galaxy Tab S3. In terms of performance and battery life, the S3 has impressed, especially in the performance area. However, we expect the S4 to be better because it’s only natural, considering it’s the newer model.

While the S3 could last for over 10 hours with moderate or high using, the S4 is expected to last even longer, about 16 hours of video playback. Concerning the size of the tablet, you won’t see much difference between these two, even though the S4 comes with a larger display, which is a plus.

Although nobody uses a tablet strictly for its camera, it won’t hurt you to know that the S4 will come with 13-megapixel lenses in the back and an upgraded, 8-megapixel front camera, as opposed to the S3, which only had 5 megapixels. Expect the S4 to be upgraded to the latest Android version and even the S3 might get it too.
