Snapchat is one of the most popular social media platforms, and even though most of the time it works great, some Android users may encounter the annoying ‘’Unfortunately Snapchat has stopped message’’ more than once along with random crashes and freezes. Here is a list of solutions that may be able to solve your issues so you can keep those fires burning high!

Tip 1: Clear app cache

The easiest solution for common issues.

Go to Settings, tap on your app manager, find Snapchat, tap on the app and tap again on Clear Cache. After launching the app, it should work normally.

Tip 2: Clear app data

If clearing the cache does not seem to work, it’s time to clear your app data. Over time, it tends to become corrupt, becoming the source of the malfunction. Keep in mind that all the information Snapchat stored, including ID and password, will be deleted.

Go to Settings, tap on your app manager, find and tap on Snapchat, and tap on the clear app data button. Re-log and check if it worked.

Tip 3: Check if the app is up to date

Open the Play Store app.

Tap on the sidebar

Select ‘’My apps & games’’

Find and tap on Snapchat

2: Go to Settings, tap on your app manager, find Snapchat and tap on it, and tap on uninstall. You should first delete your cache and app data for a better result.

After deleting your app, simply search for it on the Play store and download it again. Now go back and stock the fire!

1 Clear app cache

The universal solution for malfunctioning apps may help you out again. Simply follow these steps to remove that troublesome cache data:

Go to Settings:

Select the application manager( name varies from  one device to another)

Look for Snapchat

Thap on the app, and tap again on the Clear Cache button( confirm operation if needed)

Check to see if it works how it should now. If not, proceed to the next solution:

2 Clear app data

Retrace the previous steps back to the app manager and select Snapchat again. This time, tap on  Clear app data and confirm operation if needed. It will ask you to re-enter your login credentials, upon launch, but it should work now.

Additional things you can do:

Be sure that the app is updated to the latest version available. To do this, first, go to your home screen and open Google Play. Press on the side menu and tap on ‘’My apps and games’’. From here, scroll and find Snapchat. Tap on it and if you see the option to Update, tap it and confirm the update.

If problems persist you can also try to delete an install the app again.

From our home screen, tap and hold your finger on Snapchat, then drag the app icon toward uninstalling and confirm your choice. After it’s removed, go to Google Play and download it again.

However, a new research found that Facebook is losing its popularity, especially when it comes to youth and today we are going to see which platform is more popular.

As previously mentioned, a research made by the folks at the Pew Research Center found out that Facebook’s popularity among teenagers is dwindling. Despite that, Facebook still holds the title of being the world’s most popular social media platform, but for how much longer?

According to the researcher, only 51 percent of Americas who are aged between 13 to 17 years old still use Facebook. Considering that the number used to be 71 percent three years ago, we think it’s safe to say that teenagers are moving onto the next big thing.

Snapchat is Catching Up

Another interesting thing that the research was able to discover is that Snapchat is slowly but surely catching up to Facebook. Snapchat is a unique social media platform that’s been designed to appeal to teenagers right from the start and it looks like this is paying off.
