I can’t manage to install WhatsApp

The latest version of WhatsApp can be download only if your smartphone runs Android version 2.3.3 or higher. If you are not sure of the Android version, you can always check it by going to Settings and then to About Phone.

If the place where you want to download this app from is its official website, before doing that you would need to enable the Unknown Sources in your settings.

The activation code was not sent to me

If you did not encounter any problems with the installation, but then the automatically generated message with your activation code simply does not want to do anything with you, then the first step would be to check if your number is correctly written. The next step would be to check the country, and if those two are accurate, then you should receive the code.

If receiving the code does not work, you should choose the voice call in which a computer will read the code to you over the phone.

WhatsApp For Android Now Added A Sort Of Picture-In-Picture Feature

As the release notes detail, WhatsApp users will no longer be redirected out of the application when they try to play a video from one of the before-mentioned platforms.

Now, WhatsApp users can watch videos from YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram in a floating window while they continue chatting with their friends.

According to WhatsApp, the user can move the floating window or resize it, as well as play the videos in the full screen within the popular instant messaging application. Android Users Receive WhatsApp Picture-in-Picture Mode

WhatsApp’s latest update came with the picture-in-picture mode. This feature is only available for Android users, as iOS users have already received it more than a year ago. For those who don’t know, the PiP mode allows users to watch videos from third-party sources within the WhatsApp application. This is a lot more convenient. For example, if a friend sends you a link, you won’t have to leave the chat in order to watch it. And when you are done you can reply right away.

Some Android users were able to test this mode since October, as PiP became available in the beta version of WhatsApp for Android. Since the feature worked smoothly, it was finally time to add it to the app. If this feature is not available yet for you, go to Google Play Store and download the latest WhatsApp version.

Watching videos in the app

The update allows you to watch videos from various websites while still in the WhatsApp application. You can watch videos from Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, and others. When tapping the video you won’t be directed to the external page. Each video will have a blurred thumbnail, as well as the logo of the platform.

Once you start playing a video it will cover the top half of the window chat. If you wish to, you can make it play on the entire screen. The video bar will also be available, which means that you will be able to scroll to the videos if you want to skip certain parts.
