Half-Life 3 – Valve Might Be Secretly Developing the Game

Ask any PC gamer what title he is waiting for the most and he will answer Half-Life 3. The first two games were so amazing that they actually raised the standards for other game developers. Valve combined fun gameplay with incredible storytelling and this made fans fall in love with the game.

Considering that the Half-Life franchise holds a special in nearly every gamer’s heart, it should come as no surprise that the internet is buzzing with rumors and speculations about Half-Life 3. With that being said, today we are going to check out everything there is to know about Half-Life 3 and see what we can expect of it.

Half-Life 3 is Under Development

The last Half-Life game was Episode Two and it was launched on October 10th, 2007. The reason why this matters is that Valve promised that it will launch a new episode every six months, but as we all know already, this never happened.

Half-Life 2: Episode Two was a major success and for some unknown reason, Valve decided to stop releasing new episodes. The main theory behind this is that Valve saw how successful Half-Life 2: Episode Two was and started developing the highly anticipated Half-Life 3.

Since Half-Life 3 is topic of many discussions in gaming communities, some people managed to get their hands on concept pictures of the upcoming game. Therefore, giving us reason to believe that Half-Life 3 is indeed coming and that Valve just wants to use the element of surprise and launch the game when no one is expecting it.

Valve Writer Talks about Half-Life 3 Plot

Marc Laidlaw is a former Valve writer and he was in charge of writing the plot stories for every Half-Life title. The interesting thing about Marc Laidlaw is that the writer keeps telling fans that he is working on a “secret project” which many believe to be Half-Life 3.
