Second Android 9 Pie Public Beta For Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus Is Available

Two weeks after the release of the first Android 9 Pie Public Beta for the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus, the South Korean company has just announced the deployment of the second Android 9 Pie Public Beta version. This latest update comes with version number G960FXXU2ZRKL for Galaxy S9. As reported by SamMobile, it has 700 MB and includes the most recent Android November security patch. Do not forget that this is still a test version, so, as usual, if you decide to install it, you must be aware that you may experience some performance issues and bugs. The final Android 9 Pie for Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus is due to roll out in January 2019.

As far as we know, the second Android 9 Pie Public Beta for Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus includes interesting new features. One of the most outstanding is the improved performance of the front camera. Thus, when making selfies in low light conditions, the brightness and quality of the image will improve significantly.

There are also some rumors talking about an improvement in the overall performance of the device and security. Added to this is the new Samsung One UI which completely redesigns the overall look of the device, primarily focusing on making it easier to operate by placing the controls in the bottom half of the display.

The first step is to download and install the Samsung Members application. You can do it from the Google Play Store or Samsung Galaxy Apps. Afterward, follow the next steps to install the second Android 9 Pie Public Beta for Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus:

  • Log in on Samsung Members app with your Samsung account (if you don’t have one you need to create one);
  • Go to Notifications and then select Samsung One UI Beta Program Registration and submit the application;
  • Once you are accepted into the program go to Settings -> Software Update -> Manual Download.
  • Finally, you just have to wait for your terminal to be updated to the second Android 9 Pie for Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus;
