Call of Duty 2019 Game Would Not Be Call of Duty: Ghosts 2

It’s just January 3rd, 2019, but rumors regarding this year’s new Call of Duty game have already emerged on the Internet. It all started after the Infinity Ward’s Communications Manager, Ashton Williams, posted a sort of Ghosts-related GIF on Twitter. Accordingly, the fans began to talk about the possibility of a Call of Duty: Ghosts 2 in 2019. However, Kotaku reporter Jason Schreier reported on ResetEra that Call of Duty 2019 game would not be a Call of Duty: Ghosts sequel. It might be a new Modern Warfare title.

“It ain’t Ghosts 2,” said Kotaku’s Jason Schreier on ResetEra, which is in line with the statements of Activision’s former CEO from March 2018.

“Its suffice to say I think we have the best three year slate in Call of Duty’s history, which is really saying something given this franchise’s history. And I think we’ve got multiple different game universes that we know our players love on tap, so obviously, more to come on that,” said Activision’s former CEO, Eric Hirshberg.

Call of Duty: Ghosts 2 Will Not Be The Upcoming Call of Duty 2019 Game

As usual, a new Call of Duty title will come out this year, too. While we don’t have any official details on the upcoming Call of Duty 2019 game, rumors have already emerged on the Internet in the first days of this new year. While some people believe that Infinity Ward would release Call of Duty: Ghosts 2, given that Ashton Williams posted a Ghosts-related GIF on Twitter.

However, Kotaku’s Jason Schreier stated that it’s not going to be so, and most probably, as reported by other fans of the franchise, Call of Duty 2019 game would be Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4.

On the other hand, if we were to believe the words of Activision’s former CEO, Call of Duty 2019 game could also be a new story arc and not a sequel of an older CoD game.
