Google Launched Project Stream to Allow Players Play Video Games Via the Chrome Browser

It had been rumored since the beginning of the year that Google was working on a platform related to video games streaming, and the company finally announced Project Stream. Although it’s not yet released as a final product, this service will allow AAA games to be played in the same way as PlayStation Now or GeForce Now, only through Google Chrome. The first game available would be Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, which can be played from any desktop operating system, be it Windows, macOS, Linux, and even Chrome OS.

The Google Project Stream beta is open to a limited number of participants, who will be able to play the Ubisoft game for free starting from October 5th. The minimum recommended connection to use the service is 25 Mbps, in addition to having both Google and Ubisoft accounts. It is also necessary to be over 17 years old and live in the United States.

With the advancement of fiber optic Internet connections, it makes sense to have more and more stream-based services. Rendering the game content on a remote computer is cheaper and more convenient for many users than having to buy a computer or the physical copy of a game. As for the cameras, Huawei Honor View 10 boasts two main cameras, one with 16 MP and the other with 21 MP in monochrome. The selfies camera, on the other hand, is a 13-MP one with an aperture of f/2.0.

Honor View 10 to get Android 9 Pie updated

The update to Android 9 Pie comes with EMUI 9.0 and is offering new features. It is not specified if we will see any particular changes related to the GUI, but at least we know the improvements that Android 9 Pie itself brings as it is a new experience of navigation by using gestures, support for notch customization, quick adjustments, redesign of the volume control, and advanced battery management with support for artificial intelligence, among other features.

The Android 9 Pie update has started to roll out today for the Huawei Honor View 10’s European market. It could still take a few days to receive the update, but, in case you want to check it yourself, you can go to Settings -> System -> Update software.

Rockstar has finally decided to unveil its new Red Dead Redemption 2 gameplay trailer in which we discover a little more about the game’s features.

Japanese Cryptocurrency Exchange Platforms To Limit Deposits Due To Multiple Hackings

A conglomerate of cryptocurrency exchange platforms in Japan has decided to set a limit on the online deposits of their users. The measure comes after the hacking of an exchange platform in mid-September. The exchanges that are part of Japan’s Virtual Currency Exchange Association have agreed to limit the amount of cryptos that are hot-stored.

Usually, cryptocurrency exchanges store their cryptocurrencies in two ways, either cold and hot. Cold storage refers to the funds that are stored in wallets that are disconnected from the Internet. Hot storage relates to those portfolios that have an active connection to the Internet, such as those usually used by crypto trading platforms.

With this measure, 80-90% of the funds that users deposit on Japanese exchange platforms will be stored cold.

The measure has been established after the security of the Japanese cryptocurrency exchange platforms has been compromised on multiple occasions. In fact, on September 14th, it was the turn of the Japanese platform Zaif to be cyber attacked. Hackers managed to steal $60 million in Bitcoin (BTC), Monacoin (MONA) and Bitcoin Cash (BCH).

Tech Bureau Corp., the owner of the platform, decided to suspend all deposits and withdrawals on Zaif temporarily.

The Japan Virtual Currency Exchange Association was formed in April, and its primary objective is to improve the security system of the trading platforms across Japan. It was established following the theft of $530 million in NEM (XEM) from Coincheck in January of this year.

Similarly, Japanese authorities began to focus their attention on the country’s cryptocurrency exchange platforms, which included the raid on Coincheck’s offices.

The Association also seeks to establish self-regulatory measures to protect the interests of traders. The limit for online deposits is part of a series of statutes drafted in July. According to the Japan Times, these measures are awaiting approval from Japan’s Financial Services Agency (FSA) to take effect.
