One of the highlights during Apple’s recent WWDC developer conference was WatchOS 5. The new smartwatch operating system is packed with a plethora of new features such as a walkie-talkie mode, support for podcasts and fitness improvements.

Apple Watch Series 4 Release Date

On the downside of things, Apple didn’t mention anything about Apple Watch Series 4’s launch date, but this doesn’t mean we don’t have an idea of when that will happen. Apple usually launches its new iPhone lineup somewhere during the week after Labor Day and a new Apple Watch comes out at the same time. Therefore, we think it’s safe to assume that the highly anticipated Apple Watch Series 4 will launch in September.

Expensive Price Tag

Since this is Apple we are talking about, no one should be surprised to find out that Apple Watch Series 4 will feature an expensive price tag. Apple equips all its devices with high-end hardware specs and it charges a premium for it. The current Apple Watch Series 3 price starts at $329 and we believe that Apple Watch Series 4 will cost a little bit more than that.

Improved Battery Life

Apple is expected to equip the new smartwatch with a special display technology known as MicroLED displays. The reason why Apple is doing this is to increase how long the battery can last. In addition, WatchOS 5 will feature software optimizations which help with the battery last longer.

Samsung Galaxy S10 Face Scan Technologies and Latest Improvements

The Samsung Galaxy S10 will either step into a slanting screen like the iPhone X, or Samsung will be able to keep away from this fashion. At least from the information so far we know it will have a different design. A strange decision is that the manufacturer could give up the iris scanner, promoted as a better securing measure than facial authentication.

The intelligent scan from Samsung works by scanning both the face and the iris. On the Samsung Galaxy S10, this scanner will be removed. Instead, a similar Face ID technology on the iPhone X will be used with a 3D face scan. To develop and implement this technology, South Koreans work with Mantis, a company in Israel.

With this detail, the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 screen-integrated fingerprint scanner has been reconfirmed. It is already available on several phones, and Samsung should have something to differentiate from other companies.

As for the design for the Samsung Galaxy S10, the company registered a patent in the United States of America. It does not have a physical button on the face, it has narrow edges and at the top the screen is crest. Instead, the top will be the widest. The others are very small.

As we can see in the sketch above, there are three buttons on the right hand side of the phone: two for the volume and one on the phone. Most likely, the Bixby button disappears with the Samsung Galaxy S10.

iPad Pro vs. iPad – Which One Is Worth Your Money?

Based on what we’ve seen up until this moment, Apple’s 2018 iPad is worth spending a little bit of cash. The cheapest iPad to support the Apple Pencil, the tablet was unveiled this year in March. We’ll try to compare it to the iPad Pro and see which one would be the best to buy.

When it comes to the price, iPad Pro is a more expensive tablet. The prices for it start at $649, while the entry level iPad’s price is around half of that, starting at $329. It is also worth taking into consideration the fact that Apple now has pencil support for the iPad.

Differences between specifications

Analyzing the specifications of the two iPads, we can see that they are quite similar. One notable difference would be the larger display with a slightly higher resolution that the iPad Pro is offering, even though the size does not differ that much from the other tablet’s. The screen size of the iPad Pro is 10.5-inch, while the iPad has a 9.7-inch display.

The iPad Pro also has more RAM: 4GB compared to the iPad’s 2GB, while also providing more storage options to the users. When we look at the cameras, the iPad Pro is slightly better than the iPad. The more expensive tablet comes with a front camera of 7MP and a rear camera of 12MP, while the entry-level iPad has a front camera of 1.2MP and a rear camera of 8MP.

Is Apple’s iPad Pro really worth the money?

New design of iPad Pro 2018

It is very possible that the new iPad Pro will have a design similar to the one of iPhone X, which means that the bezels will be almost non-existent, while the home button is going to be completely removed. Now, some bad news for those fans who would like to see an OLED screen on the iPad Pro: it is highly unlikely, considering the supply limitations for OLED panels of such size.
