Summer Games Done Quick 2018: Five More Events

There are five more events until the Summer Games Done Quick 2018 will meet its end. 18 hours to go. The last game that is going to run is puwexil in Final Fantasy 6. There are also other runs, which will have a six-player race (which means two teams formed of three players) for Super Mario Maker – here, the games have no clue what’s going to happen next.

So far, Summer Games Done Quick 2018 has reached about $1.2 million for Doctors Without Borders. This is with $500 less than the total gathered last year. But we still have half a day to go through and we still have a $150,000 bounty still pending. If we reach this, it will replace the final setup block with a run of  Super Mario Odyssey, brought by NicroVeda. As we all know, NicroVeda was, just up until three days ago, the one that held the world record in the category and game.

There still are other bonus challenges that are still open and that include a Final Fantasy 6 run, which allows GDQ staffer Sumichu to do the famous area of the game.

We present now a list of the events from the final show, that’s going to last until 3:03 a.m tomorrow morning.

12:11 p.m: eddaket in New Super Mario Bros. 2

1:21 p.m: SnowieY101 in Undertale

3:16 p.m: Carl Sagan, grandpoobear, GlitchCat7, failstream, jaku and Cliffy in Super Mario Maker

4:56 p.m: Runnerguy2489 takes on The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.

6:36 p.m: NicroVeda in Super Mario Odyssey (if the donation goal is met).

7:53 p.m: puwexil in Final Fantasy 6

3:03 a.m: Summer Games Done Quick, this is the final show, where we’re going to take a look at the best moments and runs, even friendships that were made here, at this event.

As far as we know, Awesome Games Done Quick 2019 will come to us in January.

Pokemon Go’s Dortmund Safari Zone: What We Know so Far

Right now, three significant events are happening for Pokemon Go. Among them is the Safari Zone in Dortmund, in Germany, which is by far the most popular one. It caught so well with the people, that it crashed the game.

Our advice is not to use the Incence, because it can cause the crash, and you won’t be able to enter the game or play.

Global Research Challenge

This new event is a big part of the Global Research Challenge, a challenge where gamers are asked to do things. The exciting thing is that they have to do it locally, at the very events, and in the whole world to unlock different prizes.

Asia-Pacific and Dortmund already did their part. There’s still those who are in the Safari Zone – there are 50,000 of tasks, which can unlock 3x catch XP globally. Let’s give a round of applause for  Asia, which did about 5 million tasks, which gave them luck eggs that last for one hour.

Let’s see what America can do. We have to do 5 million tasks, and the game has 145 million active players, so how hard can it be? Let’s not forget that Asia hit this goal in half of the hour. So, if we are to do some math, if even less than 5% does its task, globally, we could make it. If America also reaches its goal, it’s going to get hatch XP. If Africa and Europe do it, too, that means bonus raid XP.

But what’s the reason behind all of this? Rumor has it, there will be a vast unlock on the 7th of July, one that Nintendo has talked about, even if the gamers did not reach the goal just yet. From what they’re saying, the return of Articuno is the big prize, and it will last for 3 hours. During these 3 hours, Articuno will be the one to have a chance to shine finally.

Macbook Pro 13 2018 and Pro 15 2018 Latest Quad-Core Improvements

As Intel releases a barrage of processors every month, a quick glimpse of what is available gives us chance to anticipate processor candidates for the next line of MacBook Pros.

While reports don’t hint to certain upgrade plans it is almost certain that the 2018 MacBooks will feature improved hardware capabilities. A vast array of processors is available but a smaller pool of possible selection can be identified by using Intel’s ARK database.

MacBook Pro 13 2018

However, it may not be the best choice as increased power comes with the cost of higher battery drain and lo9ng battery life is one of the main advantages of Apple products this would lead to choosing more energy efficient processors such as the quad-core Core i7-8650U. At a base seed of 1.8 GHz, it also uses DDR3 RAM to further maximize energy saving. Laptops like Dell’s XP S9730 and HP’s Spectre 13 already use it.

MacBook Pro 15 2018

Intel’s Coffee Lake series seems to be the favorite for the MacBook 15 line, as it would be a huge gain in performance from the seventh generation of I7 processors that were previously used. One highly probable candidate is the Intel Core i9-8950HK. Featuring six cores,  a base clock speed of 2.9 GHz (and lightning-fast 4.8GHz Turbo max) and 12 MB SmartCache with a 45-watt power consumption make it seem more than fit for a 15’’ MacBook Pro on par with many workstations.

Another interesting choice is could be the quad core Kaby Lake G series but while it features beefy candidates like the Intel Core i7-8809G (3.1 GHz /4.2 GHz Turbo max) it would seem that six core processors are what the MacBook 15 wants.
