Astounding Google Maps Features You May Not Know

Google Maps is a web mapping service developed by Google and launched in the beginning of 2005. Although there are many other navigation apps, most smartphone owners prefer Google Maps, according to data surveys.

The following are some very useful features that everyone can use

  1. Download maps to use offline

Travelling abroad or locally, to a remote area, you might not always be able to connect to Internet and this is when offline Google maps could come in handy. Press the 3 lines icon on top of the main menu and choose “offline maps” and afterwards “custom map.”

  1. Share your location with your friend

Sometimes you have to share your location so that your friends or family may know your approximate arrival time. After you choose your destination, click the “share trip progress” button and then choose the contact you want to share your location with.

  1. Add a stop to your trip

On the way to a destination sometimes you may have to stop for different tasks and activities. After starting the trip press on “search along route” and add your desired stop.

After clicking on the three lines icon on top of your screen , press “your places” and once you see the desired saved location tap the “commute” tab between the “explore” and “for you”.

New Major Update for Brawl Stars – New Skins and Brawlers

Supercell has been playing a little with our patience, and from time to time, teasers have appeared for the famous multiplayer game Brawl Stars. Most of the talks have been on Twitter, and the new game mode has been teased as well. The teaser has been saying that a new brawler will join the club and Retroplis as well. But the wait has come to an end, so we can say at least that we have the update in question. The update for Brawl Stars it’s rolling out to all users, so let’s take a look at it.

Brawl Stars

Brawl Stars is a free multiplayer mobile game, an arena/fighter/party game, developed and published by Supercell, and released in 2018. The purpose of the game is to collect brawlers and use each one of them in the game. You can also join clubs to play with other players, or you can create your own club. In the game, you will have Brawl Boxes that contain loot chests, coins, brawlers, and Power Points. Each Brawler has a primary attack and a Super attack, and an unlockable passive ability. You have to bring down your opponents by shooting them and defeating them.

Latest Update for Brawl Stars

  1. The New Brawler – BIBI

As we have mentioned above, a new Brawler has been teased by Supercell in the last update of the game. The new Brawler’s name is BIBI, and it has three attacks. BIBI has a super attack called Spitball that uses a bouncing ball of bubble gum, and it can give damage to enemies when they are hit multiple times. Also, the main attack is the Three Strikes which knocks back her enemies when she has the Home Run bar charged. And the last one, BIBI’s star power is Home Run, which is increasing speed movement only when her Home Run is charged fully.

  1. The New Event – Retropolis

New update we have, a new event we receive. With the Retropolis event, you will receive new menu music, a unique neon style for the menu background, and new in-game music.

  1. New Skins

The new skins that come with this update are the Hot Rod Brock, the Road Rage Carl, the Bake Sale Barley, and the Maple Barley.

Balance Changes with the New Update

  1. Rosa – in this new update, Rosa is taking some changes such as the super duration that has been decreased from 4/0 seconds to 3/0 seconds. Also, its Star power has been reduced too, from 300 per seconds to 200 per seconds. For charging up Rosa fully, you need to give ten hits now instead of nine hits. The main attack will now match the area where the damage was done.
  2. Frank – good news for Frank, it’s buffed, and you can Super stun the Siege bar again, and you have the full duration.
  3. Carl- just like Frank, Carl has been buffed. Now you can pre-aim with his initial attack while using Carl’s Super. The cooldown time for the main attack is much shorter now.
  4. This last update can come without changes to the map. You will see that the map has been changed to match the Retropolis theme. Also, a reminder of the maps that have been added in the latest update – Gem Grab-Cross Cut, Heist-Pit Stop, and Side Story.
  5. Rosa has received a new voice cover.
  6. A new option in the game is the in-game mail. The Leaders & co-leaders can now mail to Club members.
  7. Supercell ID 2.0 will be added to the game next week.

Apple Patches iOS 12.2 exploits But Unc0ver Still Confident of Imminent Jailbreak Release

The most recent update of Apple, iOS 12.3, has closed down any possible hacking for the previous version, 12.2. However, there are independent groups like unc0ver that are working on unlocking the Phones and the iPads OS.

The security researcher, Dany Lisianky, twitted recently that with iOS 12.3 the vulnerabilities have been fixed. He listed in a detailed documents the update notes.

“Apple just released iOS 12.3, which includes patches for three vulnerabilities. I discovered: CVE-2019-8593, CVE-2019-8568, CVE-2019-8637,” the hacker’s tweet was reported by Redmond Pie as saying. The last one, CVE-2019-8637, can allow the execution of arbitrary code. The group unc0ver is claiming that the production release is going to be more stable and pack fewer bugs and that their jailbreak only supports non-A12(X) Bionic devices like iPhone 7, 8, 6s etc.

Another group member @Pwn20wnd dropped the beta 51 release of the jailbreak tool with some changes and recommended to those interested to save their blobs because iOS 12.3 went live.

A blob is a short for binary large object which is a collection of binary data stored in a database management system. Blobs will allow rolling back of iOS versions that are open for jailbreaking procedure.

“We have been working on major updates for both unc0ver and Cydia’s backend, to make them incredibly stable, bug-free and fast like never before,” the developer was reported as claiming.

The update showed that at least for the time being the iOS is stable and not open for hacking. In his last tweet @Pwn20wnd has communicated that the updates will work for now “on iOS 11.1.1, 11.1.2, 11.2.1, 11.3.1, 12.0, 12.1, 12.1.1 and 12.1.2.”

Although there was no commitment from the group we assume that they are still working on a potential iOS 12.2 jailbreak release in the immediate future.

  4. Update it and do a full system scan
  5. Remove all the malicious files that came with the ransomware
  6. Complete the ransomware removal

  1. Go to Start, select Shutdown, then Restart, and OK
  2. When your PC restarts, start tapping on F8 until the Advanced Boot Options appears
  3. Select Safe Mode with Networking

Guides for Windows 8, Windows 10

  1. Tap on the Power button at the Windows login screen
  2. Tap on Shift and hold
  3. Click Restart
  4. Go to Troubleshoot, then to Advanced options, Startup Settings and then Restart
  5. After the PC becomes active, select Enable Safe Mode with Networking

Reboot your PC to Safe Mode with Command Prompt

  1. Click on Start, then on Shutdown, on Restart, and OK
  2. As soon as your PC becomes active, press F8 numerous times until the Advanced Boot Options window appears
  3. Choose Command Prompt

Guide for Windows 10, Windows 8

  1. Press the Power button
  2. Press and hold Shift
  3. Select Restart
  4. Choose Troubleshoot, then Advanced Options, Startup Settings and then Restart
  5. After the PC starts again, choose Enable Safe Mode with Command Prompt from the Startup Settings option

Restore your system files and settings

​1. After the Command Prompt window appears, enter CD restore and select Enter

  1. Type ‘rstrui.exe’ and click Enter
  2. A window will appear – click Next and choose your restore point (before the Ferosas infestation). After doing this, click Next
  3. Select Yes to start system restore

After you restore the system to a previous point, download, install, and then scan your PC with Reimage program to ensure that Ferosas annihilation is completed with success.

Recover your data

This third-party software can be used to restore some of your files that have been blocked by the ransomware.

  1. Download Data Recovery Pro
  2. Follow the guidelines of the Data Recovery Setup to install it
  3. Open it and scan your PC for data files encrypted by the thread
  4. Restore them

Also, Windows Previous Versions program can aid in recovering data files.

  1. Find an encrypted document and click right on it
  2. Choose Proprieties
  3. Select Previous versions
  4. Check every available copy of the document in Folder versions
  5. Select the option you want to have back and click Restore

There is no official Ferosas ransomware decryptor on the market yet, but you should always keep your PC protected. To do this, use a renown anti-spyware program such as Reimage, Malwarebytes, or Plumbytes Anti-Malware.
