Samsung Galaxy A7 2018 Available with Android Pie Beta and New Changes

In recent years, India has become a significant market for smartphone manufacturers.  Many Indians are now looking forward to purchasing their first smartphone and statistics show that almost 95% of the customers will buy a device that costs $500 or less.  The trend led to the release of several mid-range smartphones that are specifically designed for the country.

Samsung’s Galaxy A and Galaxy J series are quite popular in India, and the renowned smartphone manufacturer is constantly pushing new updates which aim to make the devices even better.

Samsung Members who visit the official forums were able to spot screenshots of an OTA notification that invites users to download a beta version of the latest One UI updated which is built on top of Android Pie.

The popular mid-range device was released in September 2018, and its features made it a quick hit. The spec sheet includes the mighty Exynos 7885 system-on-chip clocked at 2,2 GHz and more than able to tackle everything you attempt to run, including demanding games. Potential buyers have the option to pick between either 4 or 6GB of RAM. The FHD+ AMOLED Infinity Display is a joy to look at, delivering the impressive image. A triple camera system provides great pictures, and videos and the plentiful 3,300 mAh will keep your device running through a full day of use. The only flaw that could be called out is the decision to opt for a microUSB port instead of the more modern USB-C.

The OTA changelog featured in the screenshot notes that the update will also include the latest February security update.  The One UI is a revamped user interface which aims to replace the already aging Samsung Experience skin introduced with the Samsung Galaxy S7.

Those that wish to download the update are advised to use a reliable internet connection since the beta built measures 1.3 GB. Beta builds are available after you open the Samsung Members app and sign-in. Keep in mind that the version may be unstable and some bugs may appear.

WhatsApp vs. Telegram – Best Voice and Features Comparison

A lot of similarities

Before beginning to discuss the unique aspects of each of these apps, we must talk about their similar features first to get that out of the way. First, web versions are available for both apps which makes it more comfortable for you to carry a conversation from whatever design you want. Same basic features are provided by both apps such as sending photos, text, and video. A delivery confirmation and read receipts are delivered by both apps. However, telegram does not allow you to turn off the read receipts, but WhatsApp does.

Group conversations are allowed by both apps, but on WhatsApp, you can only invite 256 people while Telegram allows 10,000 people in one group. You can send files to contacts on both these apps, but Telegram has a bigger limit than WhatsApp (16 MB), 1.5 GB.

Voice calling is offered by either service. Your calls will be top-quality on both these apps, but WhatsApp has a low data usage mode if you have limited data.

How is Telegram unique

Thanks to its possibility to offer end-to-end encryption to users, Telegram has become extremely popular. Messaging platform today offer this as well, but if you are serious about privacy, Telegram would be a better choice because you can also make secret message and chose not to allow screenshots of conversations. WhatsApp does not offer these features.

Why WhatsApp?

Its huge userbase makes WhatsApp stronger because a messaging service is not worth using if you do not have people to talk to. 1.3 billion users are active monthly on WhatsApp exceeding Telegram’s 100 million users.

Winner

The winner title goes to WhatsApp due to its vast user base which makes everything more convenient for users and when you are away from Wi-Fi you will be delighted to use the low data mode.

WhatsApp Security Bug Affects iOS Users

With more than 1.5 billion users active each month WhatsApp is the most popular messaging app in the world.

A constant stream of updates adds bug fixes that make the app even better and new features arrive from time to time. In some cases, bugs may find their way to a stable release and WhatsApp had its fair share of issues. A new security bug has been found, and iOS users are facing significant risks.

WhatsApp has recently released a new security feature which allows iOS users to secure the app by using Face ID or Touch ID. The feature seemed to be great at first but a loophole was recently discovered, and the information was published on a popular platform.

According to the source, the bug will only happen if the user opts to change the screen lock timeout from Immediately to anything else. The feature can be accessed by opening the app and going to Settings/Account/Privacy/Screen Lock. The biometric authentication can be easily bypassed by using the AirDrop feature.

WhatsApp is currently working on solving the issues and users are encouraged to switch the screen lock interval back to Immediately.

It is well-known that the platform attracts a lot of malicious entities which aim to scam users. In January a high-ranking scam took over the accounts of several WhatsApp users and used them to obtain money and gift cards. The victims were fooled by a fake message that asked them to provide their account verification code.

The stolen accounts were used to obtain more WhatsApp accounts and convince victims to transfer money or send codes that could be used to purchase digital items. In most cases, those goods are sold again at lower prices on third-party apps.

Users are advised to immediately delete any message that seems to be unusual and use a different communication method to contact the sender and verify that their account has not been compromised.

An Introduction to Institutional Investment Management

The world of investing is a complex one and not all investors are the same. The two main types are institutional investors and non-institutional investors and it is important to understand the difference between these groups. The institutional investors, like the name implies, are the big organisations in the industry as the mutual funds, money managers, pension funds, insurance companies, investment banks and hedge funds.

Powerful Investors

Institutional investors have a huge influence on the stock market’s movements as they are responsible for about three-quarters of the trades on the NY stock exchange which makes them very powerful. Additionally, due to the professional nature of their operations they are deemed to be experts in the field who make intelligent investments on behalf of other people.

This all means that if you have a pension or mutual fund then the investments will be managed by an institutional investment company because they will make safe, educated investments to grow your funds. Institutional investors are incredibly powerful and important in today’s day and age because their decisions can influence stock prices and they are in charge of other people’s money, including many of the biggest and most recognisable brands in the entire world.

Non-Institutional Investors

A non-institutional investor, meanwhile, is an investor that is using and managing their own money on their own behalf. They will invest for reasons such as planning for their retirement, achieving personal financial goals or raising money to send their kids to university.

Management Companies

It is clear that it is institutional investors that dominate the market and have the influence. Investment management companies like Wellington Management can help institutional investors, financial intermediaries, wealth managers and any other type of investor to achieve their objectives. This is thanks to intelligent investment teams and proprietary research abilities which can identify key investment opportunities around the world and identify the hidden risks which others would miss.

Institutional investment managers are capable of delivering long term results and stability with a focus on investment management empowered by the resources of a large, global business. This means that they are capable of meeting personally with company executives, they are able to evaluate companies in depth and understand entire industries quickly and to expert knowledge so that an intelligent decision can be made about how to use funds. This will include fixed income funds, equity, multi-asset funds and alternative investment funds.

Influence

Due to this expert knowledge and influence over the market, it is no surprise that the activity of institutional investment management companies is of interest to individual investors as it can help them to make informed decisions. Additionally, some investors may seek out investment opportunities with no institutional ownership in the hope that an institution will soon discover the opportunity and drive the share price up.

Overall, institutional investors are the big players who work on behalf of others and can have a huge influence over the stock market. They have expertise and the resources to carry out thorough research which enables them to make smart, educated investment opportunities which should help to grow the funds that they are in charge of.
