Best Alternatives for Showbox and Moviebox, but use them with a VPN

Recently, Showbox and Moviebox users went through frustrating times when they tried to access the apps. They discovered that the streaming platforms are not working and this situation went on for days. As you might already know, ShowBox is an app which facilitates the Android users’ access to free movies and TV shows. MovieBox does the same thing for the iOS community.

With all their popularity, Moviebox and Showbox stopped working a few weeks ago. The situation went on for days and of course users didn’t like it. After a while, both apps started to work again, but went down after a few days and so on.

According to an official statement coming from developers, they had to stop the Showbox and Moviebox projects because of the legal issues caused by the unauthorized use of copyright protected content. A coalition of film studios followed a lawsuit action against them for enabling free access to material which should be paid.

What legal alternatives are there?

Even if now both Showbox and Moviebox are back on track, we should avoid using them. There are safer alternatives which work just as well.

  1. Popcorn Time – it’s best to use it with a VPN and it offers access to high-quality online video content right on the viewer’s mobile or desktop;
  2. Kodi – this is one of the most popular IPTV streaming apps. It doesn’t facilitate access to copyright-protected content, but you can install third-party add-ons for Kodi that do. The app can be downloaded on almost every platform, but iOS users need to have jailbroken devices or perform a special setup procedure where they will need a Mac running Xcode 7;
  3. TeaTV – This is an app which can be used on all operating systems, including Android, macOS and Windows. It comes with an updated library of movies and programs for all ages.

Each of these apps is a viable alternative for Showbox or Moviebox. If you want to download one of them, don’t forget to use a VPN as well.

iPhone SE2: What We Know So Far About the Brand-New Handset

The company Apple has this SE range of phones that seem to be pleasant for everybody. We’re not sure of the release of iPhone SE2, but we know that it’s certainly happening (at some point). The initial model was released in 2016, and the company might release the final model in 2019.

There have been two events, and the company has said nothing about it. At present, iPhone 7 is the single one that’s more affordable out of the entire series brought by this company.

The company has probably seen iPhone XR as the perfect replacement for SE, but the size of the screen is quite a good hint that fans don’t want screens that small. The question is: does this mean that the company will stop selling the smaller handset?

When’s the release date?

The original date was September 2018, but that did not happen. Fans also don’t know if the new phone will replace the original SE phone. iPhone SE2 will get launched later, probably, in the Summer of 2019 (that’s three years after the launch of the very first SE handset).

What’s the price?

iPhone SE comes with 128 GB or 32 GB, with prices of $449 and $399, respectively. The prices for the SE2 models are probably similar. However, if the phone has more features to offer, like the 6.1-inch LCD screen, let’s say, then the prices will most definitely won’t be similar.

What’s the availability of the handset

Also, it’s possible that the phone won’t be available everywhere. We’ve heard that it may be available in India – and it’s understandable since the company has in mind the idea of making the handset cheaper in different territories around the globe.

Showbox is Back, Some Say It’s Dangerous – Should You Download It?

Showbox is one of the most popular streaming apps. Most of its users have it on Android devices, but it can work on other systems as well. People seem to like what it has to offer and we can conclude that from the increasing download rate.

What makes it so special is the fact that it gives free access to the latest movies and TV shows. Also, users can download their favourite programs on smartphones and watch them anytime, anywhere. On the other hand, we already know that nothing is 100% free, so we can be sure that Show box has ”its own skeletons in the closet”.

Recently, this controversial app has been the subject of some disputes. Apart from enabling access to content which would normally have to be paid, Showbox is considered to damage the users’ devices. Also, it can cause a lot of trouble, because people who watch movies or TV shows through it could end up being sued for unauthorized use of material.

Showbox is back after an outage, but online security experts say that people shouldn’t use it

Although you won’t have to pay anything for using Showbox on your device, you’ll have to analyse all the PROs and CONs before you start the download and install process. If you ignore the experts’ advice, you could end up paying more than a monthly subscription for authorized streaming platforms.

First and foremost, it’s important to understand that Showbox is not an authorized app or legitimate software for watching programs protected by copyright. Those who access the content available on Showbox might get into legal trouble and it’s really not worth it.

Besides, the app takes its content from open and unprotected file-sharing links and torrents. As you can imagine, these files are a real threat for your device, because they can seriously damage it. If you really want to use Showbox, try to see how it works, but it would be safer to use authorized platforms for watching new movies, TV shows and more.

Apple Accused Of Knowing About the Bug that Kills Data from iOS 12.1.1 before the Update was launched

The tech giant founded by Steve Jobs is in the centre of a big scandal nowadays. Users who had their mobile data connectivity compromised by iOS 12.1.1 accuse Apple of knowing that this will happen even before the big launch. The company doesn’t seem willing to take responsibility, so it doesn’t mention anything about fixing this flaw.

The information was made public through a report recently published by Forbes. It looks like several iPhone owners noticed mal-functionalities within their cellular data after updating their devices to iOS 12.1.1. The users who faced this problem also noticed that their smartphones showed signs of unusual behaviour.

The problem doesn’t affect all users, but it still needs to be fixed

Some voices from the iPhone community say that it’s possible to browse the Internet by using Safari, but this method doesn’t work for those who are trying to connect by using apps. Other members of the same community state that users need Wi-Fi connection for accessing the Internet, regardless of the apps or browser installed on an iPhone with iOS 12.1.1.

Whatever the reason might be, it looks like there is no possible fix for this bug right now. Users who experience the mentioned data connection issue are advised to contact Apple and ask for their support in solving this matter.

Contacting Apple might not be the solution, because chances are that the company had already known about the bug. According to some opinions, they had been aware of it even before the new OS was released. Some rumours say that several beta testers reported the issue while the latest iOS version was still under development.

The Cupertino-based company hasn’t made any announcement regarding a possible bug fix, so we cannot say when and if it will happen. Users might have to wait until the next update, but this depends on the number of affected devices.
