iPhone SE2 Release Date Soon – Why Do We Believe That?

Many smartphone manufacturers are dealing with a worldwide problem. The sales of smartphones began to fall, and the most affected ones are the top-end models. Even Apple is worried about the challenging situation with its trio of iPhones released last year in autumn. So the ground the company lost will be regained, will the go back to the iPhone SE and launch a second version? You can offer your answer, but some pointers justify this argument.

Apple Put up the Old iPhone SE for Sale and Got Sold

According to some news report from the past week, the US site of Apple put up on sale different models of the old iPhone SE offering discounts varying from $100 to $200. If we believe these reports, the phones were taken off the display on the site because the units offered got sold quickly. With that being said, this event can give Apple a clue that people want a second version of the iPhone SE.

iPhone XR Has Not Measured Up

When the iPhone SE was launched, it was considered a budget iPhone, just like the iPhone XR from last year. Apple should take into consideration the fact that they tried to offer the public another budget iPhone with a larger screen, but this tactic was not successful. The iPhone XR sold the best in markets such as India and China, but that is not enough. This is proof that even though Apple offers a budget iPhone with a bigger screen, its sales will still not grow. The iPhone SE, at the price of $300 to $350, was exactly what people were waiting for and Apple should offer again.

iPhone SE2: What We Know So Far About the Brand-New Handset

The company Apple has this SE range of phones that seem to be pleasant for everybody. We’re not sure of the release of iPhone SE2, but we know that it’s certainly happening (at some point). The initial model was released in 2016, and the company might release the final model in 2019.

There have been two events, and the company has said nothing about it. At present, iPhone 7 is the single one that’s more affordable out of the entire series brought by this company.

The company has probably seen iPhone XR as the perfect replacement for SE, but the size of the screen is quite a good hint that fans don’t want screens that small. The question is: does this mean that the company will stop selling the smaller handset?

When’s the release date?

The original date was September 2018, but that did not happen. Fans also don’t know if the new phone will replace the original SE phone. iPhone SE2 will get launched later, probably, in the Summer of 2019 (that’s three years after the launch of the very first SE handset).

What’s the price?

iPhone SE comes with 128 GB or 32 GB, with prices of $449 and $399, respectively. The prices for the SE2 models are probably similar. However, if the phone has more features to offer, like the 6.1-inch LCD screen, let’s say, then the prices will most definitely won’t be similar.

What’s the availability of the handset

Also, it’s possible that the phone won’t be available everywhere. We’ve heard that it may be available in India – and it’s understandable since the company has in mind the idea of making the handset cheaper in different territories around the globe.

2018’s budget iPhone: iPhone 9 vs. iPhone SE2

iPhone SE2 is eagerly awaited by tech lovers on a budget and can even overcome the actual iPhone SE. They have been waiting since the release of its predecessor in March 2016. It is still up in the air however it will be named.

iPhone SE 2 features that are downgraded

A confirmation that the iPhone SE2 will be getting only a single rear camera was stated by a trusted leaks deliverer and case maker, Ghostek. Unfortunately, Forbes says it is a downgrade considering iPhone X’s dual cam, but it still excites buyers looking for a cheaper iPhone, whatever its drawback. The price is said to start from 400$.

It is also reported that the OLED screen will not be a feature of iPhone 9.  Furthermore, there will be no 3D touch functionality but an LCD screen. As a compensation, free wire charging is introduced.

Express says that the current iPhone design is supposed to remain the same opposing iPhone X’s bezel-less structure and the possible integration of Face ID is not in the plan.

Mr. Miller said: “Apple committed WWDC that the last five generation of devices will support iOS 12 and a new iPhone SE would support that as well. However, there are going to be compromises around screen size, camera performance and memory configuration (note the current SE only supports 32GB and 128GB versus the 64GB and 256 GB on the iPhone X).”

The iPhone SE 2 release is uncertain

The unknown date of SE 2’s publication is a drawback but earlier this year, announcing it in the Worldwide Developers Conference 2018 was expected of Apple. Different opinions about the release date are stated by multiple sources.
