YouTube Plans To Offer Free Access To Its YouTube Originals Productions Starting With 2020

YouTube will offer users its own productions, including movies and series, free of charge thanks to an advertising-supported solution, which will be available to all users of the platform in 2020. A YouTube representative has reported the change of strategy to the US weekly Variety.

The platform owned by Google has stated that during 2019 “will continue to invest in programming with scripts and changes to make YouTube Originals, the company’s own productions, supported by advertising,” reach a wider audience. YouTube has said that this initiative “will expand the audience of YouTube Originals product creators,” and offer advertisers “incredible content that will reach the YouTube generation,” an audience of nearly 2 billion users within the platform.

YouTube’s new strategy is called “Single Slate,” and the spokesman said it would combine video-on-demand (VOD) pay-per-view solutions with free access monetized with ads.

The company’s original content, YouTube Originals, will be available free to all users, although YouTube has reported that it will keep some paid productions, such as the second season of Cobra Kai, a series inspired by the Karate Kid movies.

YouTube launched its catalog of original productions at the beginning of 2015, and since then new products have been added. Within YouTube Originals, there are series such as Foursome, Mind Field or the previously mentioned Cobra Kai. According to the publication, YouTube will include in its premium service early access to exclusive original content.

Currently, the YouTube Premium version offers the ability to view content without ads and the need for an Internet connection for $11.99 per month. This paid service has expanded to 29 countries during 2018. On the other hand, YouTube Music will cost $4.99 per month. For now, these new rates are only available in the United States, although the company plans to extend them to more countries, as well.

TvOS 11 (released in the fall of 2017) turns your Apple TV into an “emitter” device and a “receiver” device, so if you have a traditional audio system connected to the Apple TV, it will become part of the AirPlay 2 ecosystem, even if the speakers are not directly compatible with it.

Also, because AirPlay 2 is an open API, any developer or manufacturer can ask Apple to add support for their application or device, so unlike Sonos, for example, you won’t need to play music from a specific application only.

WhatsApp To Add A New Feature To Help Users Find Desired WhatsApp Stickers

WhatsApp has not yet made its stickers known to all its users. However, with a new feature that will soon be added to the service, it will become easier for mobile users to find the right WhatsApp stickers for them quickly.

Thanks to the new function in WhatsApp, users will be able to enter keywords to find the desired WhatsApp stickers that they want to use in their chats. This feature is already under development for the Android version of WhatsApp. However, WABetaInfo reported that no information has yet been collected regarding the availability of the functionality on iOS.

WhatsApp already classifies its stickers by categories

Apple users will notice some similarities between this new feature and the way emoji works on iOS devices. However, instead of offering you a search function, the apple brand uses a predictive entry system to suggest the emoji you can use.

It is not to be ruled out that WhatsApp plans to follow Apple’s lead later and use the predictive entry system on its WhatsApp stickers. Similarly, the Cupertino-based tech giant may also include stickers in its features later on, although this would only duplicate emojis and could therefore only clutter up rather than serving users.

Even if the functionality is not yet installed, WhatsApp already offers users several categories of stickers. For example, in one of the classes, users can find stickers such as “surprised”, “happy,” or “sad.” To allow a better search, WhatsApp will highlight the “Favorites” and “Most Used” categories, too.

More WhatsApp stickers to come

Currently, the instant messaging app is only offering 12 official sticker packs. Therefore, choosing the sticker that best suits your discussion and emotions is not very complicated. The more stickers on WhatsApp increase, the more useful the upcoming feature will be to users.

You can also download additional stickers, but many of them are paid. Therefore, it would not be surprising if WhatsApp would add new WhatsApp stickers designed by third parties.

At a conference, the company indicated that the letter R was a reference to the words “Real, Revolution and Reform” while the X was a reference to the term “Extraordinary.”

The Oppo RX17 Pro has a dual battery

According to the technical data sheet of the Oppo RX17 Pro, the smartphone has a Snapdragon 710, as well as a fingerprint sensor under the screen, similar to the Huawei Mate 20 Pro and the OnePlus 6T. It also has 6GB of RAM, 128GB of storage space and runs on ColorOS 5.2 launcher.

The dual rear sensor comes with 2-MP and 16-MP sensors, while the selfies camera boasts 25 megapixels. However, Oppo RX17 Neo does not have SuperVOOC fast charging technology but still offers VOOC Charging.

While the competitor of the Oppo RX17 Pro is the OnePlus 6T, the rival of the Oppo RX17 Neo would be the Honor Play. The Oppo RX17 Neo is available in mocha red and astral blue.
