Will iOS 11.4.1 Jailbreak Release At The Same Time iOS 12 is Revealed?

This past couple of weeks have been filled with big announcements in the jailbreaking community. However, now that iOS 12 is getting closer to launch, every jailbreak fan keeps talking about an upcoming iOS 11.4.1 tool release. This tool is expected to launch at the same time Apple reveals iOS 12, which is next month.

iOS 11.4.1 Jailbreak Release Date

Even though everyone is talking about an upcoming iOS 11.4.1 jailbreak tool, no one knows anything about its actual release date. Not just that, but there aren’t any developers who are known to jailbreak iOS that have mentioned an iOS 11.4.1 jailbreak tool is coming soon. Therefore, we advise Apple fans to not get their hopes high and wait for official confirmation first.

Brandon Azad

The only reliable piece of information that we have about the upcoming jailbreak tool is that Brandon Azad is planning to attend a technical conference in September and that’s where he will reveal an iOS exploit that is compatible with iOS 11.4. Let’s hope that Apple doesn’t fix the exploit Brandon Azan plans to reveal.

Difficult Development Process

From what we can tell, the development process for the highly anticipated iOS 11.4.1 jailbreak tool is more difficult than expected and the tool might not be available in September or October. Therefore, jailbreak fans will need to wait a little longer until they can install Cydia and benefit from all the features that it has to offer.

Meridian Jailbreak Tool

On another note, the folks who are in charge of the Meridian iOS jailbreak have released the final version of the tool which is compatible with 64-bit iOS 10 – 10.3.3 devices. The Meridian jailbreak tool adds support for iPhone 7 and it allows users to install Cydia on their iPhones.

Jailbreak fans who love to install Cydia on their iOS devices should be happy to know that a brand-new jailbreak took has been released. The tool is designed for devices that run on iOS 10 and it has been created by the Meridian team with PsychoTea, Siguaza and many others. Furthermore, the Meridian jailbreak tool has been available in the form of beta this past couple of months, but the final build is now available for download.

Meridian Jailbreak Tool

The new jailbreak tool is supported by 64-bit devices that run on iOS 10.0 – 10.3.3. The interesting thing about the Meridian jailbreak tool is the fact that it acts as an extension to other iOS 10 jailbreak tools such as the one produced by Luca Todesco (Yalu102). Nonetheless, the only thing that matters is that Meridian jailbreak tool gives iOS users access to Cydia.

Added iPhone 7 Support

The previously mentioned jailbreak tool created by Luca Todesco (Yalu102) didn’t support iPhone 7. Fortunately, the Meridian jailbreak tool can be used on an iPhone 7 without any issues. With that being said, let’s check out what jailbreak fans need to do in order to install the brand-new tool.

Installing the New Jailbreak Tool

Apple fans who want to jailbreak their 64-bit device that runs on iOS 10.0 – 10.3.3 need to download the official Meridian IPA file and then sideload it into their devices with Cydia. All that’s left now is to run the jailbreak installation process by tapping on the “go” button which is can be found in the middle of the UI (user interface). We should also mention that the Meridian jailbreak tool is untethered which means that Apple fans will need to re-run it every time they restart their devices.

Google Pixel 3 Release Date Announced on October 4th

We just found out that Google’s Pixel 3 smartphone will be announced on 4th of October, which is not surprising, since earlier Pixel phones were released on the same date. Back in 2016, Pixel and Pixel XL were also launched on 4th of October, and the same happened the following year, in 2017, when Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL were released on the same day.

Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL will be announced on 4th of October

The news about the release date comes from the ‘This Is Tech Today’ channel, which revealed that both Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL will be officially announced on October 4th. The announcement was revealed by Famebit in a job listing. Famebit was acquired by Google in 2016 and is based in Canada. Starting with 2016, the company is grouped under the YouTube division. Famebit gives YouTubers the opportunity to get some extra money through the promotion of various products and services to their audience.

What is mentioned in the listing

The job listing seems to be searching for “Canadian creators ONLY” and in particular a Creator who is not at the moment a Google Pixel user but would like to switch to Pixel 3. Google wants the creator to share a video with their experience of switching from another device to the Pixel 3 smartphone, once they switched over their contacts, apps and other necessary data. The promotional video needs to have details about why the user decided to switch and how the process was like.

More details about the upcoming smartphones

Both smartphones will run Android Pie, with Pixel 3 expected to have a 5.3-inch display with no screen cut out, and Pixel 3 XL featuring a 6.2-inch display.
