How did it come to your computer in the first place?

Well, most probably you downloaded it from the Chrome Web Store. The Tubemate for Chrome extension doesn’t really do anything; it just redirects you to pages with advertisements. That’s why you should remove it from your browser.

How to remove it?

Well, you got two choices, get your own hands dirty or choose a piece of helpful software. First, let’s see how you can handle it first. You should see the extension as a small icon at the end of the address bar. Right click on that icon and chose to remove from chrome. A dialog box will appear, asking if you are sure. Click remove and that should be it.

Helpful software

If you want to make sure that your computer isn’t infected as resulted from interacting with Tubemate, then you can choose from the myriad of malware programs to get help. First, you should try Rkill. It will search your computer for malware infections while terminating them so that they won’t stop the removal process.

Another piece of software you should try is Malwarebytes Anti-Malware (MBAM). It scans and detects unwanted adware, infections or programs and it will help you get rid of them.

Of course, these aren’t the only two options that can help with malware or unwanted programs. They are simply suggestions, feel free to try anything. Although, these are popular programs so that should speak about their integrity. They are pretty easy to use so you shouldn’t encounter any troubles.

Chinese Crypto Mining Equipment Manufacturer Launches Bitcoin (BTC) Mining TV With 2.8 TH/S Rate

Chinese crypto mining equipment manufacturer, Canaan Creative, announced on August 2nd, the AvalonMiner Inside, a Bitcoin (BTC) mining TV with a processing rate of 2.8 TH/s (Terahash per second).

Canaan Creative launches a Bitcoin (BTC) mining TV

The TV incorporates ASIC A3210 chips, explicitly developed for crypto mining, of 16 nanometers technology, and compatible with the Android operating system, which allows the use of a smartphone as a controlling device for the AvalonMiner Inside.

The new mining equipment, which works in ‘solo’ or standalone mode, can calculate the profitability of the operation in real time. The Bitcoin (BTC) mining TV itself boasts a 43-inch screen with a resolution of 8 million pixels.

The announcement follows Canaan’s introduction in May of an application for an Initial Public Offering (IPO) on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, which it hopes will raise $1 billion.

This Chinese company, the second largest crypto mining equipment manufacturer in the market, behind Bitmain, increased its revenues by 28 times and profits by 43 times between 2015 and 2017.

Bitmain’s financial data outperforms that of Canaan Creative, by far, with a return on investment by ten times greater than that of Canaan in 2017, and net profits by 20 times higher.

Bitmain generated between $3 billion and $4 billion in operating profits in 2017, according to a report by Bernstein Research.

While Canaan shipped about 300,000 Avalon crypto miners in 2017, three times as many as in 2016, the company stated it applied to get listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in order to diversify its product line, so far comprised by different Avalon Miner models.

The announcement of the AvalonMiner Inside, the Bitcoin (BTC) mining TV, is seen as a step forward in that diversification and suggests that Canaan Creative is considering the supply of other appliances with built-in crypto mining capacity.

Forget About Flat Google Maps, Imagine a 3D Globe

Google Maps has been developing a lot lately in order to remain relevant in this ever-changing world. Besides adding your battery status visibility to the app or incorporating an algorithm that allows it to match you with whichever restaurants you might enjoy, Google ends this week by offering us another surprise.

As frustrated as flat-earthers might feel, Google Maps decided to change perspectives. More exactly, we won’t longer be looking at flat surfaces on our planet; instead the whole thing will change into a 3D globe (or, as Google calls it, 3D Globe Mode). As you probably know, flat maps aren’t exactly right according to scale. On such a map Greenland looks quite as big as Africa, which is ridiculous.

Now, when you zoom out fully, you will be able to see everything at the right scale, approximately. Sure, it may seem to many of you that, at least when compared to the other changes that occurred this week, it’s not that big of an update. How about we try, like Google did, to change our perspective a little bit?

The Earth is a 3D, huge object and for many years we had to use flat representations which may result in confusions similar to Greenland seeming to be just as big as Africa. With this update, Google doesn’t have to adjust a 3D object into a 2D perspective. Another thing that Google might (or not) tell us is that flat-earthers aren’t among them and that’s a bit reassuring.

At least at the moment, you won’t be able to see this 3D globe unless you are using a computer. We don’t know when exactly this change on Google Maps will affect the apps on your smart devices. However, you are curious, then head on to the Google Maps website and have fun with this 3D mode.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 vs. Galaxy Tab S4 – Short Comparison Review

Although nowadays when you hear about tablets your brain starts thinking about Apple’s products, the iPad isn’t the only tablet on the market. Such devices also come with an Android OS, although they seem to be fewer as the years go by. Apparently only Samsung and Huawei are constantly releasing tablets with high-performance results.

The reasons why this is happening vary but a big one is represented by how Google doesn’t make it easy for people to develop apps that work on tablets. That’s why Samsung has put a stop on this with its latest tablet, the Galaxy Tab S4. It comes with a built-in DeX interface which will allow anyone to connect their tablet to a keyboard and with this they would gain what is called ‘Android desktop mode’.

Before you start looking for features and compare this model with its competitors, let us first put it against its predecessor, the Galaxy Tab S3. In terms of performance and battery life, the S3 has impressed, especially in the performance area. However, we expect the S4 to be better because it’s only natural, considering it’s the newer model.

While the S3 could last for over 10 hours with moderate or high using, the S4 is expected to last even longer, about 16 hours of video playback. Concerning the size of the tablet, you won’t see much difference between these two, even though the S4 comes with a larger display, which is a plus.

Although nobody uses a tablet strictly for its camera, it won’t hurt you to know that the S4 will come with 13-megapixel lenses in the back and an upgraded, 8-megapixel front camera, as opposed to the S3, which only had 5 megapixels. Expect the S4 to be upgraded to the latest Android version and even the S3 might get it too.
