Even though the original Silent Hill 2 video game is more than two decades old, a remake is under its way, thanks to Bloober Team and Konami. Perhaps anybody who’s interested in survival horror games knows about the Silent Hill movie that inspired game developers for the game series with the same moniker.
Thanks to a new article posted on PCGameBenchmark, we may finally have an idea about when the upcoming game will launch. If their claim is correct, the world will witness the launch of Silent Hill 2 Remake in just a few months. No, the remake won’t launch in 2023, but who cares when 2024 is just around the corner?
Silent Hill 2 Remake will likely launch in Q1 of 2024
The website mentioned above reveals that the remake of the classic 2001 game Silent Hill 2 will likely become up for grabs during the first quarter of next year, although there’s no exact release date mentioned.
The publication was also kind enough to share the system requirements of the future game, so let’s have a good look at them to see if our PCs are compatible or not:
Minimum:
OS: Windows 10 64-bit
RAM: 12 GB
Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080/Radeon RX 5700 XT
CPU: Intel Core i5-8400/Ryzen 3 3300X
Free space: 50 GB
Recommended:
OS: Windows 11
RAM: 16 GB
Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080/Radeon RX 6800 XT

Free space: 50 GB
Obviously, running a video game at its minimum graphics settings is not exactly the best move if you want the best from what that specific game has to offer. We can certainly expect a lot from Silent Hill 2 Remake, considering that we’re talking about a horror survival game. We can expect to see a lot of blood and gore, and certainly, having a powerful GPU such as the ones that appear in the ‘recommended’ area of the system requirements becomes a ‘must’ if you’re passionate about such games.
