iPhone 12 Would Launch in 2020 With Revamped Design and New Features, According To Rumors

The latest iPhone models launched six months ago, but many fans are already looking forward to the upcoming devices, iPhone 11 lineup. It is likely that the iPhone will retain the design of the XS and XR models since they were quite successful. However, a reliable source claims that the 2020 iPhone models, or iPhone 12, will pack some exciting features and a revamped design. It seems that the company plans to maintain the triumvirate, with a significant change being represented by the fact that the trio devices will sport OLED displays.

The iPhone XR uses the same processor as the XS, but the LCD screen and the thicker bezels made it unattractive in the eyes of many Apple fans, a flaw that will be corrected. A new display would also allow the company to refresh the looks the device, which is the most affordable choice for many potential users.

iPhone 12 models will come with revamped design and new exciting features

The same source claims that the 2020 iPhone models, iPhone 12 series, will have smaller screens (two of them), with the numbers being reduced from the current 5.8-inch, 6.1-inch and 6.5-inch ( iPhone XS, XR, and XS Max) to 5.42, 6.06, and 6.67. As you can see the Max version will become even bigger while the regular versions will be adjusted a little.

The device with the smallest screen is likely to be the most affordable one, and it is likely that the cost of the device will be limited by using touch screen solutions offered by Samsung or LG. The Y-Octa technology provided by Samsung involves the use of a high-quality AMOLED display which is considerably thinner in comparison to previous designs.

It is well-known that the OLED display is the most expensive component mounted on an iPhone and the main reason for the current price tag of the devices. The smaller iPhone could become a favorite among those who prefer a smaller device, in the vein of the iconic iPhone SE. Samsung Display is likely to remain the most significant OLED supplier, but LG Display and BOE are looking forward to a piece of the pie.
