Best Clash of Clans Tips & Tricks

Are you a new “Clasher”? Do you want to become an expert “Clasher” in quick time? Here are some tips for you.

Clash of Clans, from Supercell, has generated significant excitement in the gaming world. And while the game could be a little tricky for beginners, it becomes easier as you progress and discover the secrets.

To get you started and further speed up your progress, here are some of the best tricks for you.

Best Clash of Clans Tips and Tricks

  1. Don’t hasten upgrade

Most Clashers are known to upgrade at any given opportunity, which, in the long run, is to their own detriment. In fact, if you upgrade when you’re not ready, your progress would be impeded.

Hence, ensure your village and buildings are properly defended and developed before upgrading.

  1. Your Shield; Your Life!

If your village is under attack and you’re on the losing side, do not hesitate to use your shield. Typically, you get a 12-hour shield or a 4-hour shield, depending on the level of damage inflicted on your village.

While using your shield to defend against enemy attack, focus on rebuilding; do NOT attack during this time.

  1. Defend with multiple walls

This is a good defence strategy, which is unknown to many “Clashers”. The more sets of walls you erect, the more protected you are against enemy attacks.

  1. Protect elixirs at all cost

Queue up troops in your village’s barracks when under attack, and make all efforts to maintain the queue. This way, you are able to protect your elixirs.

  1. Drop trophies

Sounds strange, right? Well, it’s actually a trick that plays out in the long run. By dropping your trophies, you get matched with relatively weaker (inferior) opponents. This may require you to lose some battles, but at no point should you lose your elixirs.

  1. Upgrade troops with dark elixirs

You can unlock dark elixirs at level 7 and level 8 (Town Hall). Once you get the elixirs (via raids or drilling), use them to upgrade your “hero class troops”.

  1. Save Spells for later stages

Spells are highly valuable and hard to recover. Hence, save them for the later stages, where you’d really need them to defeat tougher enemies.

Clash of Clans Won’t Load [Quick Fix]

Are you experiencing the Clash of Clans won’t load problem? In this post, we’ll be showing you how to get Clash of Clans up and running, if/when the game fails to load on your device.

Quite a number of Clash of Clans players have complained of the ‘hang up’ error typically encountered during startup. And despite the notoriety of this error, its actual cause remains unknown (or rather, unrevealed).

In any case, if you’re in this situation, do not fret; as we’ll be showing you a set of workarounds to safely load the game.

Fix: Clash of Clans Won’t Load

Clash of Clans is a popular smartphone game, which has been credited for its unique gameplay and near-reality graphical illustration. However, the game’s integrity has been blighted by the various forms of crashes/freezes associated with it.

While Supercell (CoC’s developer) has promised to fix these errors, you can try some of fixes below for the time being:

Fix 1: Check Basic Configuration and Connectivity

Clash of Clans is an online game, which requires stable internet connection for optimum performance. And if your internet is unstable/weak, you’re probably going to encounter this error. Therefore, ensure that your mobile internet or Wi-Fi connection is strong/stable. Also, set your phone’s time & date as appropriate.

Furthermore, for players on Android, ensure that you’re properly signed into your Google account. And if you’re playing with an iPhone, ensure that you’re properly signed into Facebook.

If all these check out, and the game still won’t load, try the next fix.

Fix 2: Restart Phone

Force close the game and restart your phone/tablet. This would fix all minor glitches that could be causing the error.

After reboot, relaunch the game and see if the loading error is fixed.

Fix 3: Turn Off Power Saving Mode

At times, having your phone running in power saving (or battery saving) mode could cause the loading error. Hence, switch back to normal power mode and see if the error is fixed.

Fix 4: Clear Cache

This is probably the most popular solution to this loading error.

To clear the game’s cache:

  • Go to Settings > Apps > Clash of Clans
  • Select Storage > Clear Cache.

You can also ‘clear data’. This should fix the loading error.

Closing Note

If none of the above fixes could fix the Clash of Clans won’t load error, you can reinstall the game or contact Supercell’s tech support team for assistance.

Clash of Clans Black Screen [Quick Fix]

Experiencing the “black screen” error on Clash of Clans? This piece’s for you

Clash of Clans is one of the most popular mobile games out there. And enthusiastic gamers, who are looking to optimize their gaming experience, often seek to enjoy the game on PC. To achieve this, an emulator like “BlueStacks App Player” is required.

However, a notorious error associated with playing CoC on PC (using BlueStacks) is the system freeze/crash error, which blackens out your screen

To fix this “black screen” error, follow through this guide.

Fix: Clash of Clans Black Screen

While game crashing is not new to CoC mobile gamers, this black screen error is definitely new. The black screen is basically associated with some form of conflicts between CoC and the “interceding” BlueStacks Player (on PC).

In any case, you can try some of the workarounds below:

Method 1: Restart BlueStacks

To do this:

  • go to “Task Manager”
  • locate “BlueStacks” and right-click on it, and then select “Restart”.

Try and restart your game, and see if the “black screen” error is fixed. If it persists, try the next fix.

Method 2: Reinstall CoC in BlueStacks

To do this, you’d have to uninstall the game first, before reinstalling it.

Follow the simple steps below to run this procedure:

  • Launch BlueStacks on your PC.
  • Find and click on “Clash of Clans”
  • Locate and click on the “Uninstall” option.
  • Confirm uninstallation (as prompted) and restart PC.

Then, reinstall a fresh (updated) package of the game.

Black screen still popping up? Try the next fix.

Method 3: Reinstall BlueStacks

The “black screen” error, as emphasized earlier, could be caused by an issue(s) with the emulator (BlueStacks). Hence, you can try uninstalling/reinstalling it and see if fixes the error.

This procedure is technically a reset, which removes the entire program (including inherent apps and settings), and provides you with the latest – updated – version.

After reinstalling BlueStacks, reinstall Clash of Clans, and start enjoying your game unhindered.

Method 4: Update Drivers

Games require up-to-date graphics drivers to function properly. Hence, if/when this error occurs, it’s possible that your graphics cards are out-of-date.

To fix this, simply go to the manufacturers’ website (NVIDIA and/or AMD/ATI) and install the latest drivers.

Furthermore, try and check for updates on your PC, and install available updates, as appropriate.

Quick Fix: Clash of Clans Crashing After Update

This tutorial will show you how to fix Clash of Clans crashing after update.

Despite the exciting gameplay and graphical display offered by Clash of Clans (CoC), it has fallen short in the area of bug fixes, with gamers experiencing various degrees of crashes after updating the game.

This leaves one to wonder if the new updates come with more bugs, instead of bug fixes and patches. And unfortunately, this is seriously killing the fun of the game.

To fix this, you can try some of solutions herein.

Fix: Clash of Clans Crashing After Update

While the issue of game crashing is not alien to CoC gamers, the after-update crashing seems somewhat mysterious. The probable cause(s) has been attributed to incomplete/faulty installation, system glitch and/or connection error.

In any case, you can try the fixes below:

Fix 1: Restart Phone

While the actual cause of the “after-update” crashing is unknown, a number of troubleshooting techniques can be adopted to fix the error. And as a first line of defence, simply close the game and restart your phone.

This should fix the error, provided the issue is caused by a minor glitch (or the likes).

If the error persists, try the next fix.

Fix 2: Clear Cache

Most times, when CoC crashes after an update, there is usually a cache problem. To fix the crashing error in this case, all you have to do is to clear the game’s cache/data.

To do this (on Android):

  • close the game and navigate to Settings > Apps (or Application Manager)
  • find and click on Clash of Clans
  • click on Storage, and select Clear cache
  • click on Clear data
  • exit ‘Settings’
  • restart phone and then relaunch CoC.

If the crashing error persists, you can try the next fix.

Fix 3: Reinstall CoC

It’s possible that a faulty/incomplete installation of the new update is the cause of the crashing error. Hence, you can try reinstalling the game.

To do this, follow the steps below:

  • Go to Settings > Apps > Clash of Clans > Uninstall.
  • Then, download the game and reinstall it on your phone (under stable internet/Wi-Fi connection).

Closing Note

Before running any of the above fixes, ensure that you’re properly signed into your Facebook or Google account. Also, make sure your phone’s time settings are properly configured.

New reports from the Clash of Clans community are showing that the game keeps randomly crashing and prompting the following error: “Unfortunately, Clash of Clans has stopped”. This is causing fans to get angry because the game can crash in the middle of combat, but luckily, we have just the right solution for it!

Updating the Game

The annoying error is not caused by any bugs or malfunctions and it can happen to all Android games. The most common reason why this error pops up is because the game is not updated. If the game is not updated, Clash of Clans will not be able to load up the village and an error pops up.

  • Access the Google Play Store;
  • Open the “My Apps” panel;
  • Search for Clash of Clans;
  • Tap on the “Update” button;
  • The game will now update itself.

Clearing Data and Cache Files

While this might seem like a complicated task, Clash of Clans fans don’t need to do anything else than to follow the short step-by-step guide down below.

  • Head over to the “Settings” panel;
  • Search for the “Application” tab in the list options and tap on it;
  • Now search for “Clash of Clans” and access it;
  • The “Clash of Clans” panel will feature the options to “Clear Data” and “Clear Cache”;
  • All that’s left is to click the two buttons and then reboot the smartphone.
