Clash of Clans April Update Delayed Until Tomorrow Due To A Severe Bug

A few days ago, we talked about April’s Clash Royale Balance Update. While that one went live earlier today, Supercell faced some issues of the Clash of Clans update, also scheduled for today. It seems that the Clash of Clans April’s update was delayed until tomorrow, April 2nd. Are you wondering why Supercell had to postpone that Clash of Clans update? According to Supercell, a severe bug was the culprit.

Clash of Clans April’s update wouldn’t be only a Balance Update as in the case of Clash Royale. In reality, Supercell also planned to roll out a new feature in the game – Seasonal Challenges. As we’ve already reported about that here, this new mode called Seasonal Challenges would be similar to Fortnite’s (and other Battle Royale games) Battle Pass.

Besides adding this novelty to Clash of Clans, Supercell also planned some gameplay tweaks and stability and performance improvements. However, the famous mobile games creator had to delay the Clash of Clans update until tomorrow, April 2nd.

A severe bug forced Supercell to delay the Clash of Clans April update

“We know you were anxiously looking forward to the update today as much as we were, but due to the discovery of a serious bug, we have to push back the update release until tomorrow (April 2nd) until we could resolve the issue,” announced Supercell in an official blog post. Besides, the studio also postponed the start of April’s Clan War League to tomorrow, April 2nd.

It seems that a severe bug made Supercell postpone Clash of Clans Seasonal Challenges and well as the beginning of the new month’s Clan War League, as the company reported.

To apologize to the fans for this inconvenience, Supercell is running a Town Hall Wrecking event. During this special event, those players who manage to destroy 5 Town Halls will gain a Book of Heroes.

Clash of Clans To Receive Seasonal Challenges, A Sort Of Fortnite’s Battle Pass

Clash of Clans has been around for a long time, but the title has remained quite successful, with millions of players enjoying the game each month. Now, Supercell announces Season Challenges in Clash of Clans, which would be a sort of Fortnite’s battle pass.

The unique mixture of easy-to-pick-up and hard-to-master gameplay coupled with the strategic element make it great. Supercell has also kept the game throughout the years by releasing by continually releasing new updates which add new content and quality-of-life changes. The spring update should arrive on April 1, and the team has been hard at work.

A recent announcement has sparked debates within the Clash of Clans community. Supercell seems to have taken inspiration from the latest battle royale trend as they announced that they would add a new feature called Season Challenges. As you may have guessed, the function emulates the battle pass introduced by Fortnite.

Supercell announces Season Challenges in Clash of Clans

During the season players will be able to complete several challenges. As they complete each challenge, they will progress through the season and unlock new rewards. A new season will begin each month, offering new challenges and exclusive rewards.

The rewards will be divided into a gold and silver tier. The silver tier will be free for everyone, but the gold tier will offer exclusive rewards, including a hero skin each month. The hero skin will be permanent, and it will be added to the Hero’s wardrobe. Even if you haven’t unlocked some of the Heroes, you will be able to claim the skin and keep it for later use. Players who wish to unlock the gold tier will have to pay $4.99 for the Gold Pass.

The new seasons will start on the first day of each month. Players will have the option to purchase the Gold Pass at any time, and it will last until the last day of the season. Two new mechanics are also added. A season bank will store a limited amount of collected resources which will be added into your storage at the end of the season. Players who buy the Golden Pass will also enjoy a Research boost.

Clash of Clans Spring Update – Archer Tower and the Cannon Improvements

We have an announcement from Supercell that the latest updates on Clash of Clans Spring will bring additional balance changes, new levels for troops and buildings.

So about what upgrades we are talking about?

The Archer Tower and the Cannon will be upgradeable to level 17 with 12 million gold and 12 days to upgrade them fully.  With this update you will have the Cannon with 132 DPS and 1,740 HP; the Archer Tower will have 122 DPS and 1,430 HP.

Regarding the troops (Hog Rider, Ice Golem and the Witch), all of them will be getting a new upgrade at Laboratory level 10.

Moreover, new changes will be the overall strategy of the game. That means both attacking and defending.

So, if we are talking about attacking and defending, an example is the Ice Golem and his Freeze Spell. This spell will be different when used offensively or defensively. When in the offense mode, the Freeze Spell will have an increased radius by 36 percent. That will slow down your enemy defense. On the other hand, on the defense mode, the duration of the spell will be reduced at all levels.

Consequently, after the update, the Ice Golem will be more effective if you use him in offense rather than in defense.

Also, we will have a reduced time of the Tornado Trap at each level.

Because of the update, the Battle Machine in the Builder’s Base will change. The regeneration time will be reduced, so you could match it with your Training Camps, and be ready for battle much faster. That’s encouraging for the dynamic gameplay, and you will get into action earlier.

At last but not least, this Spring update on Clash of Clans will bring a quality of life improvements.  Supercell announced that he wants to reduce the brightness of the clouds for an easy play for the eyes.

Clash Of Clans Tips To Improve Your Gameplay

Clash of Clans has managed to gather a solid player base which continues to play the game each month. While the game is pretty easy to pick up players will need to design an impressive plan if they wish to climb to the levels and bring glory to their clan. Fear not! Below you can find a list of practical tips which can be used to improve your gameplay experience and progress faster through the game.

Clash Of Clans Tips To Improve Your Gameplay

Take everything into account

Just like in real life the odds will usually favor the most prepared one. The best advantage against other players comes from the ability to have two full armies ready at all times. The option is available for players who reached Town Hall 11. A capacity of 240 Housing Spaces means that players will be able to summon 480 troops with a simple tap instantly.

Donate troops

After your army is prepared and ready, you can move towards the next step. Donating troops will allow your Clash of Clans allies to be stronger while also encouraging them to come and help you when danger is knocking at your door.

Don’t waste your gems

As expected, nothing is perfect. The free-to-play model of Clash of Clans will lock major upgrades behind lengthy waiting times. It may be tempting to spend a few gems to make one of the timers to disappear, but it’s not a good idea in the long run. Focus on achievement clearing and the removal of natural obstacles, two activities which reward a generous amount of gems.

Make the most of the shield

A shield will be engaged in at least 30% of the town is destroyed, or your Town Hall is turned into rubble. Instead of attacking right away it is better to rework your strategy. Make some upgrades, build some troops and upgrade towers while waiting for resources to accumulate. Feel free to attack after the shield expires, since you will enjoy a short grace period during which others can’t attack back even if you strike first.
