Clash Royale Update Coming in Mid-April: New Game Modes And More

We’ve seen a lot of action and updates in Clash of Clans, but what about Clash Royale? To be fair, we did get some balance changes on April 1 to some troops, but players also want new content.

Fear not, the Clash Royale team has announced on Twitter that they’ve been up to no good this past week and that they’re preparing an update for mid-April.

We headed over to the team’s Reddit post and discovered some of the new stuff that will be added to the game this month:

  •     A new, streamlined progression system for Ladder (1v1)
  •     New game modes

More to be revealed at a later date…

Among other stuff that will be tweaked or introduced, we will also get a new challenge every 48 hours starting with Tuesday, the team adding that it “will be a great chance to earn rewards ahead of the update.”

Also, when the update goes live, CRL 20 Win profile badges will be received.

The Clash Royale team explained that this update will not come next week, but it’s bound to roll out in Mid-April. While they didn’t want to reveal more details about the content of the update, the fact that there will be more game modes is pretty exciting. The progression system will make players want to give it a chance once again, explained Drew:

We’re hoping that this new update will remove some of that ‘i need time away from ladder’ feeling that a lot of players have!

Clan Wars 2.0 – “Big Plans For This”

As for what we should expect in the future, but not this update, it will be Clan Wars 2.0, according to another comment from Drew, explaining why they’re not adding Clan Wars 2.0 in this update:

Not this update, sorry! we have big plans for this and it didn’t make sense to do at the same time as a big 1v1 experience change.

Although the wait could be significant, knowing that the team wants to make Clan Wars 2.0 perfect and that they “have big plans for this” is great news.

Check back for more Clash Royale updates, which are bound to be announced the next week!

Clash Royale March Balance Update Comes With Some Significant Changes

Clash Royale is an incredibly popular mobile game, created by Supercell, the same devs behind hit mobile games such as Clash of Clans and Brawl Stars. As usually at the beginning of a new month, the games studio announced on Friday morning what players should expect Clash Royale March balance update.

The update is said to go live on Monday, March 4th, and the goal of the Finnish developers is to diversify the meta. To do that, the cards that have been out-classed for a while have been buffed by the company. The Clash Royale March balance update focuses on the Barbarian and also adjusts the deployment times for other horde creatures aside from the Barbarian.

Clash Royale March balance update would come with some significant changes

Barbarians: Hitpoints -13%, Troop Count 4 -> 5

As players have been already complaining about the price of the regular Barbarians for a while, as their win/use rate was low in competitive play, the developers decided to reduce all Barbarians’ hitpoints. That also affects Barbarian Hut, Battle Ram, and Barbarian Barrel. Furthermore, the amount of Barbarians was also increased in the original squad by 1. This change was mainly implemented to avoid the effect cars like Magic Archer and Riyal Hogs can have in the came, to be more precise, the damage.

Wall Breakers: Hit Speed 1.5sec -> 1.2sec

The dive bombers that create a daring duo is not dangerous enough for some player. The Wall Breakers will be allowed thanks to this buff to make their only an attack even quicker when it comes to reaching the tower. With that being said, if unblocked, the Wall Breakers will connect. Their power is similar to one of a Goblin Barrel so make sure you keep an eye on them.

X-Bow: Hitpoints +4%

Mortar, one of the two Siege buildings, in comparison with its more expensive cousin, has had more widespread success. The Health-per-Elixir ratio fo the Mortar is much higher than the one of the X-Bow, so to balance them our, the X-Bow will be slightly adjusted.

Besides, the Clash Royale March balance update also added death damage bomb (deals 2x Area Damage) to the Bomb Tower and 0.15sec deploy time between troops for Goblin Gang, Rascals, Bats, and Barbarians, as well.

Clash Royale: The New Update Comes with a New Card, New Game Modes and Improve Trading

It’s January, which means we’ll get the new update. With this update, we’ll get a brand new card, arena, and new gameplay modes.

On Monday, we got the Clash Royale update. The update is balanced and comes with tweaks and changes that take place in 10 troops and spells.

We’ve written this article to give you everything you need to know about this new update.

New Card

We’re looking forward to seeing this new card hit the arena. We’re talking about Wall Breakers. Of course, it was borrowed from Clash of Clans, and they’re basically a pair of skeleton minions – each one of them carries an explosive barrel of dynamite. Their target is towers, and when they get to one, their damage is huge. We’re not sure which Arena will be unlocked, but we think we’ll be surprised with Arena 12 – Spooky Town.

Game Modes

The year of Hogs. This is the brand new game mode that is about to meet the light of the day. It will come with Royal Hogs that spawn every 12 seconds behind your towers or the opponent’s towers. The battle will progress, which means that the elixir will ramp up, and also the Royal Hogs that are spawned. 2v2 is nothing when put face to face with Royal Hogs.

There’s also a mini collection mode, which is similar to Clan Wars Battle Day. Here, you and your enemy are given 40 cards from which you’ll need to create your battle decks. With this new mode, you’ll have to exploit your deck building skills and, why not, try new things.

Improvements in trading

You will now be able to choose four different cards that you are willing to exchange for another one – with another player, of course. If that person accepts the trade, they’ll get to choose which card they want, and then the trade is made. It’s easier to negotiate the trades now because there are many options available for other players.
