BioWare General Manager Teased Dragon Age Announcement

In a new post on BioWare’s official blog, the BioWare General Manager Casey Hudson teased a Dragon Age announcement, saying that Dragon Age is a significant franchise for the studio. He also revealed that in the upcoming months we should expect an important statement that would refer to the next title in the franchise.

“If you’ve been following these blogs, or myself and Mark Darrah on Twitter, you know we’re also working on some secret Dragon Age stuff. Dragon Age is an incredibly important franchise in our studio, and we’re excited to continue its legacy. Look for more on this in the coming month, though I won’t tell you where to look,” said Casey Hudson, BioWare General Manager.

While we hope BioWare would announce the next title in the franchise, there is no information to point in that direction. However, the timing of Casey Hudson’s tease on a Dragon Age announcement is excellent, given the fact that The Game Awards is coming on December 6th.

BioWare General Manager Teased Dragon Age Announcement

For some time now, everybody has been aware that a future Dragon Age game is under development at BioWare, but the studio kept the work secret. This year, Casey Hudson came out to say that the next Dragon Age title would be focusing on the storyline and characters but will also follow the EA’s “live” model.

That would mean that the next Dragon Age title would continuously grow thanks to frequent content updates. Besides the teasing Hudson made about Dragon Age, the General Manager also announced that BioWare would also focus on developing more games for the Mass Effect universe.

The last installment in the Dragon Age franchise (and the third one, in general), Dragon Age: Inquisition rolled out in 2014 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, but also on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

‘Dragon Age’ and ‘Skyrim’ Comes With New Modes Available

DRAGON AGE II: FENRIS FOLLOWER

A broody elf is always welcomed in every game, so Dragon Age II’s Fenris can be brought into the mix. Tevinter has a tragically romantic elf who is now in Tamriel and has not changed his voice. However, there is one thing that changed, and that is his tragic backstory. Now it is fitted for The Elder Scrolls lore.

DRAGON AGE ORIGINS FOLLOWERS

The character from Skyrim, even though the game is glorious, is not that great. However, if you use these simple mods, you will be able to pay a visit to the fan favorites from Dragon Age II and Dragon Age: Origins.

Dragon Age Origins Followers mod by ‘Andruniel’ is the one we will be talking about. According to the person who created it, Dragon Age Origins Followers, lore-friendly to Skyrim. Characters such as Leliana, Morrigan, Shale are fully voiced. Enhanced AI is provided. Unique follower framework is present as well. You can ride own horses. Morrigan can now make potions and many more.

Some of the other features include: lore-friendly story & dialogue, ‘Call [Name]’ power included if you get separated when Followers are actively Following, Dismiss and send to city inns, Temples, or other specific places (at this point, only the Default dismiss works, papyrus is being a snotty git), Warp to Player if they fall behind or get separated.

Now, this is the mod everybody was expecting. This is the best way in which you can have Leliana, Wynn, Alistair, Morrigan, Shale, and Zevra back.

You can now get back in contact with the best characters in the history of Dragon Age and live all those great memories again. You can finally do all of that by downloading the mod we mentioned.

BioWare working on Mass Effect and Dragon Age 4 along with other Secret Projects as well

The general manager of BioWare, Casey Hudson, has shared some information that can tease some gamers. Apparently, BioWare is currently working on some secret projects while also focusing on developing Anthem. This information was shared via a blog post used by Hudson to thank fans for supporting Anthem.

Other important notes are that there are plans for more Star Wars: The Old Republic content and that there are teams specially assigned for working on Dragon Age and Mass Effect, which is definitely a surprise for fans. Hudson said: “And yes–we hear loud and clear the interest in BioWare doing more Dragon Age and Mass Effect, so rest assured that we have some teams hidden away working on some secret stuff that I think you’ll really like–we’re just not ready to talk about any of it for a little while…”

For now, it seems that BioWare’s primary focus is on Anthem which will be launched sometime in 2019. However, it is nice to know that the company is still thinking about the games that made it great.

The first two Mass Effect games were able to cultivate a huge fan base, thanks to a carefully thought-of mixture of RPG and action elements. Then, some were alienated by first ending the Shepherd trilogy controversially and then by the lackluster release of Mass Effect: Andromeda, fitted for the next generation of consoles.

All BioWare fans have been wondering about one thing for quite some time and that is about the Dragon Age 4 release date. This has been on their mind ever since Dragon Age Inquisition’s DLC Trespasser has been released. The fans of this fantastic medieval game look all across the Internet for clues that show the new Dragon Age 4. We have seen comics and fanfiction but so far, no release date from the BioWare team. We continue to hope on some revivals soon.
