According to the official Rockstar Support page on Twitter, the messages that keep popping up in both multiplayer and single-player modes of GTA 5 are not an official statement of the game’s creators. It seems that one of the modders has found out how to use an in-game notification system in order to spread false news. As for the fans, they will have to remain patient while waiting for an official announcement of GTA 6.

The most recent title of the series, GTA 5 was launched in 2013 and even now, in 2018, it remains one of the most popular games. The main reason behind this great success is the multiplayer mode, GTA 5 Online. Thanks to constant releases of new content, the game remains fresh. The next expansion, Nightclub is set to be followed by Red Dead Redemption 2.

With all of this in mind, it seems unlikely that GTA 6 would be announced so soon. After all, Rockstar puts quite a lot of effort into the already-existing GTA 5. Not to mention that GTA 6 would require a lot of work in order to at least reach the level of its predecessor.

The notifications are not real

The fact that two platforms more difficult to hack, Xbox One and PS4, are free of these pop-ups, seems to prove it. At the moment, the reason behind these messages remains unknown.

It looks like the fans of the GTA series will need to remain patient while waiting for the news regarding GTA 6. In the meantime, they can enjoy the recent addition of nightclubs to the map in GTA 5 Online.

Even though it is still long ahead of Grand Theft Auto 6’s release, there is a lot of information on the internet and predictions made by expert gamers.

An estimated date about Grand Theft Auto 6’s introduction on the market is worked on by gaming experts. The publication and development of the game publisher’s DLC packs are its primary focus taking into consideration the reveal of „Red Redemption 2”.

Recently, gamers who were playing GTA 5 in the online mode reported having received an in-game message announcing that Grand Theft Auto 6 will be launched in 2019. According to the franchise’s developers, Rockstar Games, the rumors are fake and not coming from their official channels.

The discussion was opened by GTA Online players on Reddit and the GTA Online forum. Since they thought that the release date for the latest part of the series is finally out, they turned the channels red with questions about the big announcement.

Social media is an important communication way these days, so the Rockstar Support team’s Twitter account was the place where gamers found the answer to their question. The response was, of course, negative, because the official team confirmed the fact that it is a hoax, as many initially suspected.

Rockstar is expected to give some explanations

With all things considered, GTA 6 is expected to have greater success than the game which is expecting its launch on the 26th of October 2018 – Red Dead Redemption 20. PS4 and Xbox users will be the ones enjoying the game real soon, but PC owners will join them in near future.

GTA 6 Release Date Possible in 2021

We encounter fake news everywhere, be it about persons or about games. There’s an unknown reason why the Grand Theft Auto franchise is the most popular target of these fake news. Probably because of its popularity. Or probably because the developers take their time (which is a lot) to release new games. There are on the internet rumors about GTA 6 since GTA 5 was released, and we understand the excitement of the players. But we think that this time it went too far. GTA Online practically swims in pop-ups which are asking people of they want to pre-order GTA 6 in 2019. This smells funny to us.

Rockstar told Twitter it was all a hoax

Truth be told, we understand why many people believed this whole thing because it must be true if it appeared in-game, right? It’s not like this is a YouTube video which was bad edited. But we think that people got too exited too early. Rockstar has made its plans clear on Twitter, after having a dialogue with one of the players. The developers said that the Flyers are just the idea of some players who are controlling the game with mods and that it isn’t what they had in mind.

We are somewhat impressed. This must have to take a lot of time and patience. However, we’ve seen many rumors about GTA 6, and this one is the poorest of them all.

What we know for sure is that it’s not just a dream– GTA 6 will make its appearance at some point. It’s probably still in developing as we speak, but we don’t think that they got past the conceptualization stage. We don’t know for sure if it will hit the market in this generation of consoles. If you ask us, it probably won’t.
