Pokemon Go Creators, Niantic, Hired To Make Exclusive Mobile Games for Samsung Galaxy Devices

Today, news emerged that, although doesn’t intend to shake up the telephone industry, it can, in some way, change the panorama of mobile gaming. Now, we have exclusive games for Samsung, exclusive games for Huawei, exclusive games for Xiaomi, and so on, so we could be at the beginning of a new era for mobile gaming. According to recently released reports, Samsung is planning to invest $40 million in Niantic, the devs behind Pokemon Go, among other titles for iOS and Android, for them start developing exclusive mobile games for Samsung Galaxy devices.

An anonymous source would have told The Inquirer that this new partnership could result in games that would be included by default on Samsung Galaxy smartphones shortly.

That opens the door to a future where a much fiercer competition would be happening between smartphone brands just as there is now an open battle between PS4 and Xbox One, for example.

Pokemon Go Creators, Niantic, Hired To Make Exclusive Mobile Games for Samsung Galaxy Devices

At the moment we have to wait for confirmation from either Samsung or Niantic, as there are still no official statements from any of the two companies. An official announcement would come out by the end of the year, the same source reported for The Inquirer, who also added that the first exclusive Samsung mobile game made by Niantic would come out in 2019 and, reportedly, would be included on the future Samsung Galaxy S10.

If we take a look at what happened with Fortnite, exclusively launched for Galaxy Note 9 for Android, the agreement between Niantic And Samsung might differ in reality from what the source has stated for The Inquirer. It might as well mean that Niantic, Pokemon Go creators, would create for Samsung some temporary exclusive titles so that the Galaxy users would be the first to play those mobile games before Niantic rolls them out for a wider public.

For now, some rumors pointed to Harry Potter: Wizards Unite as the first Niantic game to arrive exclusively on Samsung Galaxy devices next year.

Pokemon GO: Will Darkrai Make An Appearance In December?

Pokemon GO players are anxiously waiting for updates after gen 4 Pokemon were added to the game. At the moment, many of them are awaiting Darkrai, one of the most well-known gen 4 legendaries, who is a Dark-type as well.

There is a big chance that Darkrai will be the next addition to the game, especially since Cresselia was already added to the game, as a Tier 5 raid boss. As you probably know already, Darkrai and Cresselia form the Lunar Duo, a legendary duo based on the moon. Darkrai represents the new moon and Cresselia the crescent moon. Therefore, since its counterpart was already introduced to the game, we are expecting to see Darkrai soon.

It is very likely that we will get more information on December 18, since this is when Cresselia will leave raid battles. This would be the right moment to receive Darkrai, and this introduction would make perfect sense. There are a couple of weeks left, and we can only wait patiently.

Duos and trios

This is not the first duo that is introduced to Pokemon GO. There have been others in the past, and we even received legendary trios. For example, we had the legendary Tower duo with Ho-Oh and Lugia, the weather trio, with Kyogre, Groudon and Rayquaza and the Titan trio, with Registeel, Refice and Regirock.

Each time a duo or a trio was added to the game, its members followed each other closely. This is another reason to believe that Cresselia will be followed by Darkrai. If we take a look at the main series we can remember that Cresselia gives people nice dreams, while Darkrai offers nightmares. Cresselia was caught on the Fullmoon island, while Darkrai was caught on Newmoon island.

Blizzard could be Working on a new Warcraft Game Inspired by Pokemon Go

Pokemon Go is probably one of the most successful games ever released. The phenomenon is not surprising if we consider an important detail – it’s hard to resist all those cute creatures waiting to be discovered. After seeing its success, other developers are trying to create similar games for mobile, but it remains to be seen if they will manage to step on Pokemon Go’s footsteps.

Blizzard seems to be the first development company willing to follow Niantic Labs’ example. Even if the announcement about Diablo Immortal’s launch on mobile wasn’t well received, the team isn’t planning to give up on their idea.

According to Kotaku, the company is currently working on a mobile version for Warcraft and the new initiative is inspired by Pokemonn Go. The department involved in this work is the one behind Immortal and they promise to create a game which can revolutionize the market.

Blizzard doesn’t give up on their first idea – Diablo Immortal 4

One of the reasons which determined Blizzard to start working on the Pokemon Go-like game for mobile is that their lead designer, Cory Stockton, is a big fan of the franchise. Also, the spin-off could produce important revenue which can be used for other projects. Unfortunately, we don’t know anything about the new game and, because it’s work in progress, the team is not willing to share any ideas.

Even if it started to work on a new project, Blizzard won’t give up on the 4th part of Diablo. It looks like the game received a codename – “Fenris” and will feature much darker elements than the 3rd episode of the series. There is still a lot of work to be done, so there is no chance of seeing the game until 2020.

Also, during special events such as Pokemon Go Community Day, gamers can capture shiny Pokemon characters which are the regular monsters but with a unique outfit. They are known as Shiny Pokemon.

Pokemon Go is a free-to-play app with in-game purchases which are optional, is compatible with Android devices running at least 2 Gb RAM and Android 4.4 or higher, and is better working with Android handsets with GPS and mobile data connectivity. However, Pokemon Go might not run smoothly on specific Android gadgets even though they are compatible regarding technical specs.

Pokemon Go is one of the most popular games in history and Niantic, its developer, is frequently updating the app. Now, Pokemon Go 0.125.2 came out earlier with several bug fixes and improvements that increase the game’s stability, enhancing the user experience. The Pokemon Go 0.125.2 file is of 85.5 MB but supports installation on external storage (microSD cards). Also, the new version requires Android 4.4 to run, but we recommend Android 8.0 Oreo to run the game smoothly.
