Pokemon GO: Deoxys To Replace Mewtwo in EX Raids

On the official site of the famous game Pokemon GO, Niantic announced that the Mythical Pokemon Deoxys would replace Mewtwo in EX raids. Also, the developers also informed that Deoxys’ Normal Forme, which is one of the four forms of the character, will only be available via EX Raids, an event that requires an invitation to be played.

With the last Pokemon GO update, gamers can send an EX Raids invitation to one friend in their friend lists but only if he/she achieved Ultra Friend status or higher.

EX Raids in Pokemon GO is a controversial event

EX Raids are elite battles that give those invited gamers the opportunity to catch a powerful Pokemon at a specified moment, at a sponsored Gym location.

Since its emergence in Pokemon GO, EX Raids has been very controversial with some of the game’s fans showing disappointment. EX Raid changed eligibility criteria, and that hasn’t been received well by the players.

Niantic even apologized for any inconveniences, but they did not change much to tackle the gamers’ frustration.

However, those players who participate in raid battles in parks or at the promoted Gyms are more likely to be invited. Also, those who achieved a gold badge in one of the mentioned locations are increasing their chances to get an invitation.

Deoxys to replace Mewtwo in EX Raids in Pokemon GO

“On September 20 at 1:00 P.M. (PDT), Mewtwo will come to Raid Battles for the first time! Mewtwo has previously only been available to Trainers invited to EX Raids, but now all Trainers will be able to challenge the Legendary Psychic-type Pokemon until October 23 at 1:00 P.M. (PDT). So prepare yourself, and don’t miss your opportunity to encounter this powerful Pokemon before it disappears,” reads the official announcement posted by Niantic.

This message is confirming the recent news that Deoxys will replace Mewtwo in EX Raids.

Pokemon GO Makes $2.5 Million A Day for Niantic

If anyone still thinks that the Pokemon GO fever is over, it’s because he/she hasn’t been affected by the “Pokemon GO outbreak” yet. And now, after just over two years since its launch, this Niantic mobile game seems to continue rising not only in its players database but also in revenue, having been reported a rise of 39% over the last month alone. Now, Pokemon GO makes $2.5 million a day.

The latest Pokemon GO updates skyrocketed the Niantic’s revenues

That is demonstrated by the most recent study published by SensorTower, a tracking platform for mobile applications, which estimates that Pokemon GO would have achieved revenues of $29 million on Android devices and another $22 million on iOS, in August alone.

This latest figure appears to have come after the game’s last update, which was included last June, and which implemented for the first time the possibility for players to exchange Pokemon characters. That came in addition to the recent announcements of Pokemon Let’s Go Eevee and Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu, and the compatibility available to both games.

Pokemon GO makes $2.5 million a day, according to a SensorTower study

Explicitly, the last records reported by SensorTower indicate that during the 60 days before the update, corresponding to April and March, Pokemon GO maintained a daily worldwide revenue of around $1.8 million, on the average between Android and iOS applications. However, after this update, Pokemon GO makes about $2.5 million a day.

Finally, Niantic previously promised to add a new game mode for battles between coaches in Pokemon GO, which, although delayed on previous occasions, is expected to arrive definitively sometime before the end of this year. That is undoubtedly the most sought-after mode by players, so it will be interesting to see the impact that the new feature will have on the income of the Pokemon GO.

Pokemon Go Chikorita Community Day has Announced a New Pokemon

The new Pokemon recently on the official Pokémon Go Community Day is Chikorita.

Get to know the Chikorita Pokemon

Based on the information found on the Pokemon Go page, Chokorita is a  Johto Grass-type Starter Pokémon which comes with improves spawns and you will be able to get it on 22nd of September from 2 to 5 p.m. During that period of time, Chikorita will evolve into a Meganium, similarly to past  Community Day events. The pokemon in the case will also learn a new attack.

It was not yet confirmed what kind of attack it would be, but in March a new pokemon, Venusaur, learned the Frenzy Plant attack and Chikorita might get the same one as well.

Detailed information

Even though you might not catch Chikorita during the Community Day event, as long as during that period it evolves into a Meganium, it will learn that move. To make it evolve it needs 125 Chikorita Candy to evolve the Grass-type into Bayleef and then Meganium. It will not be a problem for you to collect this number of Candy because the pokemon comes with increased spawns.

Guess who gets some new bonuses? Yap, you!

During the Pokémon Go Community Day Chikorita event, you will get increased experienced if you capture a Pokemon besides the three-hour Lures. With every Pokemon you catch successfully, you will get three times the amount of experience.

The event might also bring you the Shiny Chikorita and other rare versions of the new Pokemon.

How to encounter a Shiny Chikorita

  1. Go to the capture screen by tapping on the Pokemon in the overworld
  2. See if the Chikorita will have thegreen coloring or it will come in a shiny orangey version.
  3. That is it. Enjoy your gaming session!

Pokémon Go Community Day Event: Make the Most out of Eevee

Pokémon Go is that app that was designed to make people leave their home and play together outside while looking for Pokemons. Each event has given the client exclusive move that will spawn for about three hours, the thing that comes with a resource bonus, like double XP, Lure Modules or Stardust.

Everything you need to know about Pokémon Go Community Day

The featured Pokemon will be Eevee and the date will be from Saturday the 11th of August till Sunday the 12th of August. The times will be: for the Asia Pacific – 12 pm to 3 pm JST, for North America, South America and Greenland – 11 am to 2 pm PST, 2 pm to 5 pm EST, for Europe, Middle East. The unique move will be Last Resort. There are also two bonuses: 3-hour Lures and 3x catch Stardust

Who is Eevee?

Last Resort is Eevee’s special Community Day move, that’s actually a very strong type of normal attack from the Pokémon games. However, the lack of STAB might mean that it’s not actually a good idea to go for a viable competitive choice.

If we are to talk about how rare Eevee is, she’s quite a catch, but it’s easier now to find it given the fact that it became a regular reward in the field research.

It’s also known that Community Day it’s the perfect event to debut the Gen 4 evolution – but there’s no official statement regarding that so far.

Will there be a shiny?

We all know that Niantic never really confirms the existence of a shiny version of the Community Day Pokémon, but every time one was introduced. So we suppose this will happen again. So the answer is yes, there will be shiny.

Watch out for it, but also, remember that they don’t really appear in the same place for everyone (just like high-IV Pokémon does). You get one random chance of everyone and you start the battle with being shiny. If you just keep searching, you might get lucky.

Pokemon Go Might Receive PVP Features Sooner Than Expected

Pokemon Go is one of the most successful mobile games in the world and one of the main reasons behind this is the wave of new content and cool features that Niantic keeps rolling out. Niantic recently introduced trading to Pokemon Go and this feature adds more complexity to the game since players can use it to help out their friends by lending them a powerful Pokemon or use trading to increase the number of Pokemon they own.

Pokemon Go PVP

While the trading feature might be nice, there is one in-game feature that all players have been asking for and Niantic doesn’t want to deliver, PVP. Is there something even more exciting than the thought of fighting your friends and strangers in a Pokemon battle? Fortunately, it looks Niantic labs is planning to introduce PVP sooner than expected.

PVP is Coming Soon

Anne Beuttenmuller is the local head of product marketing for Pokemon Go in Poland and she recently went on an interview with the Gram where she said something quite interesting. Anne Beuttenmuller said that Niantic’s primary goal is to improve the game’s social features and that’s why trading was introduced. Therefore, PVP is the single other feature that Niantic can add to the game in order to give players additional reasons to interact with each other.

Augmented Reality PVP

The cool thing about Pokemon Go is the fact that it uses AR (augmented reality) and this means that PVP will be incredible! Just imagine how fun it would be to whip out your smartphone and fight strangers in the park over a Pokemon, just like Ash did back in the day when everyone watched the animated Pokemon series on TV. Let’s hope Niantic doesn’t waste any time and decides to release this feature before summer ends.
