Samsung Galaxy Sport, An Unannounced Gadget, Appeared on the FCC Site

The unannounced Samsung Galaxy Sport SM-R500 appeared on the FCC site, while it also received certification from South Korea’s National Radio Research Agency (NRRA). However, neither of the FCC and NRRA certification revealed anything about the device which remains a mystery for us.

“The upcoming Galaxy Sport smartwatch has been spotted on the FCC website with the model number SM-R500. It should be noted that SM-R500 is the only Galaxy Sport variant that has surfaced online so far. Apart from SM-R500, Samsung is also said to be working on SM-R370 and SM-R375 wearables. According to rumors, these are expected to be launched as the Galaxy Fit fitness tracker,” reported Droid Shout which was the first to spot the Samsung Galaxy Spot on the FCC site.

The only details surfaced on the FCC site reveal that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Sport would support Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth connectivity.

FCC Site Listed the Unannounced Samsung Galaxy Sport

According to some rumors, reported by Droid Shout, the unannounced Samsung Galaxy Sport would “run on the Tizen operating system and will include 4GB of internal storage.”

“Additionally, a wireless charger with the model number EP-OR500 has appeared on the FCC website. The product name ‘TX PAD for Pulse’ confirms that the wireless charging pad has been designed for the upcoming Galaxy Sport smartwatch. It will be available only in a single color – Black,” Droid Shout added.

As for the Samsung Galaxy Sport release date, every rumor leads to a roll out along with Samsung Galaxy S10 series, which would take place on February 20th. However, in case the smartwatch will not come out on February 20th, Samsung Galaxy Sport would launch at MWC (Mobile World Congress) 2019 in Barcelona. By then, we might have some additional details on this upcoming smartwatch from Samsung.
