The Sims series is a successful video game series, and the high level of enthusiasm and awareness regarding the fifth installment confirms it very well. Even though it was released several years ago, The Sims 4 still receives some compelling updates so that it will become much more interesting to play by the fans. The last update was “Tiny Living” received this January, a patch that allows players to build houses and do other exciting stuff.

But we have to focus our attention on the awaited The Sims 5 since we know for sure that the life simulation game is under development. The EA boss Andrew Wilson is hinting to us how The Sims 5 will be and it sounds almost too good to be true:

Cloud gaming support

Nobody uses CDs and DVDs anymore these days. The cloud technology is way too comfortable. Also, your game progress data can also be stored automatically on a cloud, and that’s exactly what the developers of The Sims 5 are planning for their game.

PS5 and Xbox Series X support

Santa Claus will bring in 2020 the next-generation consoles for those kids who had been behaving well. PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X will land to the stores during Holiday this year, and The Sims 5 will be ready and adapted for them. The two consoles will be featuring specs highly superior to their predecessors PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, respectively.

The game will be… social

The Sims 5 will also have an online mode, so that you will have the opportunity to compete with your friends and family to see who is better in the game. Nonetheless, the good news doesn’t stop here: The Sims 5 gives the online players a chance for social media interactions, so they can communicate easily while playing.

Obviously, the most reasonable question now is, “when will The Sims 5 be launched?”. The EA CEO didn’t say anything regarding a release date, but fans have reasons to hope that EA will unveil the mystery during the EA Play 2020, which will take place this year in June.

It seems like the ‘Customer is King’ policy might not be taken in consideration by all companies. There are two possibilities: many companies are visibly doing a change following the costumer’s needs and some companies are taking in considerations the feedback but do not admit it.

This link between the costumer’s needs and feedback and the companies are important in the game industry as well. In order to get your game in the top most popular to play, you need to keep up the evolution of it. To add more feature, new characters, improve the quality.

The Sims game hit a successful evolution in the industry, supported by the firms EA and Maxis. These companies took in consideration the players suggestions and opinions and changed the game as they wished. We are talking about the new version The Sims 5.

Until now, all we know is that the game is in the work progress. Nobody confirmed any released data; there are only rumors and speculations. The passionate players from the Sims community estimated the release of the game in 2020 and the teaser and announcement next year.

From the costumer’s point of view, the game can suffer different changes and there are two possible versions of the game to go. In one version, the glitches or the am that cannot be solved or progressed are removed and just a work in the bug problems. The second idea for the game is to come up with new features such a fresh location, clothes, cars and so on.

It is a big possibility that EA changed the Sims 5 giving the players a better experience. New aspects such as the houses new physical appearances, such as hair, face, eyes accessories or colors.

Looking back in time at the moment when The Sims 4 was released, we remember that Grant Rodiek, the senior producer on the game, mentioned that we should expect The Sims 5 only in case the current game was not a success. We know now that the game is enjoying enormous popularity amongst its fans, so should we hope for a new version anytime soon? Obviously, it’s pretty hard to imagine the company letting go of such a profitable series.

Why should there be a new Sims game

Despite its success, The Sims 4 has its own problems which cannot really be fixed with DLCs and expansion packs. Because of this, we definitely hope to see a new game in the series and we hope to hear an announcement about this soon. We pretty much already know that The Sims 5 is about to be released, for the simple fact that the timing is right and EA is always into profit. You probably know by now that a new Sims game was launched every 5 years, which means that we would expect to see the release of The Sims 5 sometime in 2019. The Sims 4 was clearly a huge success, as it sold 5 million copies on PC, however, there are still things to improve.

When should we expect an announcement

We believe that we should see an official announcement of The Sims 5 any time this year. When it comes to the release of the game, in case it actually stays within the pattern of all previous tiles, we should expect a date somewhere next year.

What to expect from The Sims 5

The lack of cars in The Sims 4 is definitely a big inconvenience, so we expect to see cars in the next title. Another big problem is the fact that we no longer have an open world in the current game, which is certainly not a good thing, as it makes the gameplay feel very limited. We also expect to see parenthood included in The Sims 5, especially since it was added for the console version of The Sims 4. Nevertheless, the fans are also waiting for a completely new expansion pack, mobile integration and more personality traits.

The existence of The Sims 5 has not been confirmed yet by Maxis and Electronic Arts (EA). However, the majority of fans are making their own estimations and assumptions considering 2019 the year when the game will be announced and 2020 the year of its release.

The release date and how they managed to discover it

As you know there is nothing officially announced about The Sims 5 but the company is still developing other games so why would not them release the next Sims? Fans already know it will exist, but they are wondering how much time do they need to wait.

According to early reports, Maxis and EA might announce the game in 2019, and you will be able to purchase it from 2020.

This assumption is based on the company’s pattern of release dates, more specifically when the previous Sims versions were released. In 2000 the Sims series debuted with the first version, in 2004 the Sims 2 came out and then The Sims 3 in 2009 with The Sims 4 being launched in 2014. Based on this, the company releases a new Sims version once in five years which means that 2019 might be the year of The Sims 5.

How should the game be like?

Devoted Sims fan that knows every bit of each Sims game released already has some assumptions regarding The Sims 5. This new feature would be loved by cars and adventure fans because fans are expecting the possibility to explore and open-world environment using a wide range of vehicles.

It is not the first time a Sims game would have such features, but they were later on removed from the Sims 4 due to unknown reasons. Because fans enjoyed that experience, maybe the developers would reintroduce it in The Sims 5.
