New 16-inch MacBook Pro, Along With a 32-inch 6K Monitor, To Come Out in 2019

According to Ming-Chi Kuo, a reputable Apple analyst, Apple would launch a new 16-inch MacBook Pro and a 32-inch 6K monitor this year. The information went online thanks to MacRumors, a tech news portal, which, reportedly, obtained a release note from Kuo.

Apple Would Launch a New 16-inch MacBook Pro in 2019

This year’s MacBook lineup would be focused on a new 16-inch MacBook Pro which would be the largest laptop made by Apple since the company has shut down the production of 17-inch MacBooks in 2012.

According to Ming-Chi Kuo, the MacBook Pro in question might eventually come out with a 16.5-inch display. Also, the 2019 MacBook series would also sport a 13-inch model with support for up to 32 Gb of RAM, an amount that, until now, can only be mounted on the 15-inch MacBook Pro variant.

Ming-Chi Kuo’s statements seem to be in line with those of Apple’s Phil Schiller who declared in 2017 that, “with regards to the Mac Pro, we are in the process of what we call ‘completely rethinking the Mac Pro.’ We’re working on it. We have a team working hard on it right now, and we want to architect it so that we can keep it fresh with regular improvements, and we’re committed to making it our highest-end, high-throughput desktop system, designed for our demanding pro customers.”

A 32-inch 6K Monitor Might Also Come Out This Year From Apple, Ming-Chi Kuo Believes

Apple ceased the production and sale of displays in 2016 when the Cupertino-based company rolled out the Thunderbolt Display. Until now, no other monitor made by Apple reached the shelves of the stores, so it might be the right time for the tech giant to come up with something special.

And according to Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple is going to launch a 32-inch 6K monitor in 2019, along with the 16-inch MacBook Pro. Kuo referred to this display as “6k3k,” as reported by MacRumors. That’s also in line with what Phil Schiller stated back in 2017: “As part of doing a new Mac Pro – it is, by definition, a modular system – we will be doing a pro display as well. Now you won’t see any of those products this year; we’re in the process of that. We think it’s essential to create something great for our pro customers who want a Mac Pro modular system, and that’ll take longer than this year to do.”
