New Pokemon GO Event Is Now Live: Shiny Rattata And Pidgey Are Now Available

February 27th is an important date for the Pokemon series, as it marks its 23rd anniversary. Obviously, this isn’t something that could have gone unnoticed, and Pokemon GO had to mark this special occasion with Pokemon GO Day 2019. The game released a special Pokemon GO event that comes with numerous surprises for the players.

The new Pokemon event is already live in the game, and it comes with many Pokemon from the original Blue and Red versions. The new Team Medallion item is also available in Pokemon GO.

This event brings many unique things. For instance, the Pokemon that appear early in the Gen 1 games will spawn a lot more frequently in the wild. More than that, players will be glad to find out that shiny versions of Pidgey and Rattata, as well as Kanto Pokemon, can be found in Raid Battles. It isn’t that simple to get the shiny versions, so you should take advantage of this event.
