Microsoft Surface Pro 3 December Update Improves Battery And Security

Microsoft has released a new update for Surface Pro 3 devices. The update mainly brings improvements, but not many details have been mentioned. There is also a security update available, so the new upgrades are, therefore, recommended for all Microsoft Surface Pro 3 owners.

New Updates For Microsoft Surface Pro 3 Improve Battery and Security

A firmware update for Surface Pro 3 and three new driver updates improve the performance of the Surface Tablets launched by Microsoft in 2014. The recently rolled out updates address the battery management feature, while they also bring a security update for the Bluetooth and WLAN drivers from Marvell, via MS PowerUser.

There is currently little information available on the content of the new Microsoft Surface Pro 3 updates. However, Surface Pro 3 users who are running Windows 10 Creators Update Version 1703 or later will automatically receive updates via the Windows Update client.

Microsoft Surface Pro 3 Updates Are Not Available on Download Center

Users will have to be patient if they prefer to update their Surface Pro 3 devices manually. That is applicable for all those who want to wait and see if there are any problems with the new version since the latest SurfaceBook 2 updates caused several issues that, eventually, forced Microsoft to shut down the upgrades distribution.

The new updates are not yet available on Microsoft’s Download Center where only the Microsoft Surface Pro 3 November update is offered.

The following updates are available for Microsoft Surface Pro 3 devices running Windows 10 Creators Update Version 1703 or later:

Android Q Would Center On Artificial Intelligence And 5G and Foldable Phone Support

This year is coming to an end, so we’re already looking forward to what the new year is going to bring. As for what Google has in the bag for us in 2019, we can say that Android Q, chatbots, and 5G and foldable phone support are going to become available next year.

Google To Add 5G and Foldable Phone Support In Android

The renowned Internet and tech company, Google, is going to focus more on AI (artificial intelligence) systems for its next year’s devices and software releases. We should expect AI to come to Android more and more in 2019 to ease up users’ tasks. In this regard, Android Q, which is rumored to roll out in 2019, would get chatbots based on artificial intelligence for businesses’ customer services.

Also, in 2019, Google plans to update its future Android OS version with 5G support, as the new technology is going to deploy during next year in the majority of the countries around the world. Also, as foldable phones are already announced for 2019, Google plans to support the new concept in Android Q.

Android Q To Come Out In Q2 or Q3 2019

Android Q has been rumored as the next Android version that Google is planning to release in 2019. Google did not reveal much about its next project regarding its mobile operating system, so what we know about Android Q is very limited.

According to some reports, Android Q won’t come out with so many new features as it has been the case with Android 9 Pie, but we should expect some improvements to be implemented, primarily to support foldable phones and 5G since, as we’ve already mentioned, Google also plans to come up with new Android features in that regard. While Android Q won’t boast significant design changes, we’re pretty sure that the next year’s Google mobile OS version would center on artificial intelligence and security features.

Be it as it may, 2019 would be an excellent year for Google and its Android operating system.

Dragon Age 4 Got Its First Trailer

During The Game Awards 2018, BioWare teased the next title in the Dragon Age franchise, dubbed as Dragon Age 4. After previously teasing an announcement on Dragon Age 4 somewhen in December, BioWare revealed the first trailer of the next installment of the popular series.

The short Dragon Age 4 teaser pans over the artifacts in the game and presents a hashtag, possibly of a central story figure or the name of the title, “The Dread Wolf Rises.” However, the trailer is to brief, so it doesn’t present many details about the upcoming Dragon Age 4. As for “The Dread Wolf Rises,” it is most likely a reference to Fen’Harel, the god of betrayal in the Dragon Age universe.

The last Dragon Age title, Dragon Age Inquisition, had an excellent period at The Game Awards 2014 where it won the Top Honor at The Game Of The Year category. Now, we expect that the future Dragon Age 4 would be at least as good as the 2014 Dragon Age Inquisition video game.

Dragon Age 4 Got Its First Trailer, But BioWare Would Not Reveal Anything New About It Any Time Soon

At The Game Awards 2018 event, BioWare teased the fans of the franchise with an announcement on Dragon Age 4. The game devs have also informed the fans that they are also working on the next Mass Effect title.

As for the Dragon Age 4, besides the recently released teaser, BioWare is not going to reveal more details any time soon, as stated by Mark Darrah from the BioWare studios. He added that Dragon Age 4 has been in the works for a long time now and a team of “core” Dragon Age veterans is developing the new title.

“Making players into heroes of their own stories has been my real-life quest since Baldur’s Gate. Over the years I’ve taken on increasing challenges: building vast living worlds, devising fun party-based combat and illustrating fantastic stories. Now, I’m honored and excited to continue BioWare’s rich legacy of colorful companions, romance, and epic choices in my favorite fantasy franchise,” said Darrah.

Qualcomm Won A Legal Dispute With Apple In China With Severe Consequences For Apple

Chipmaker Qualcomm has reported that a Chinese court has judged in its favor in a patent case against Apple in China, and a preliminary order has been issued prohibiting the import and sale of several iPhone models in China. This court decision thus makes impossible for the Chinese residents to buy iPhone 6S, 6S Plus, 7, 7 Plus, 8, 8 Plus and iPhone X models, even though it does not affect the phones launched this year, namely, the iPhone XR, XS, and XS Max.

The news has caused Apple’s shares to fall more than 2% at the opening of the market, while Qualcomm’s shares reacted with rises close to 4% at the beginning of the day.

The decision came from the Fuzhou Intermediate People’s Court in China, the same court that this year banned the import of some of the chips from the chipmaker Micron Technology in China.

Qualcomm Won A Legal Dispute With Apple In China

Qualcomm, which initially filed the case in China in late 2017, has received the court’s green light. The court decided that Apple has violated two of Qualcomm’s software patents to resize photographs and manage touch-screen applications.

“Apple continues to benefit from our intellectual property while refusing to compensate us,” said Don Rosenberg, general counsel for Qualcomm, in a statement. But because patents directly affect the software, Apple can make changes to its operating system to prevent patent infringement, so if the changes come, they can continue to sell their banned smartphones in the Asian country without an agreement with Qualcomm.

The patents that made the subject of the lawsuit are different from those both companies are disputing in other cases in their broad legal dispute. In fact, Qualcomm also asked the US regulators to ban the import of several iPhone models for patent reasons, but so far US officials have refused to do so.
