Minecraft: Story Mode is a Great Experience with Narrative Touch

An old game

Being available on almost every platform, from PC to smartphones, Minecraft is a very popular game. Millions of people around the role have enjoyed the game fighting for their life in survival, creating an amazing building on the creative ode or merely playing a benevolent hero in adventure mode.

A fresh twist

Made in collaboration with Telltale Games, Minecraft: Story Mode adds a surprisingly well-working element: narration. It masterfully encapsulates what made Minecraft great while offering the storytelling features and branched narratives for which Telltale games are known.

The narrative touch

The story manages to feel original and familiar at the same, featuring well-known shenanigans from the fan favorite voxel-based game. One outstanding element is the pig, serving as a terrific comedic relief. It shines a whole new light on how a real universe based on Minecraft may look like.

What you do matters

In classic Telltale fashion the choices you take shape up the story in a different way. Certain characters will remember what you did and they may favor or disfavor you later in the game based on what you did. At the end of each chapter, you will see which choice was the most popular among fellow players.

Busy for a while

The adventure will keep you busy for quite a while. Season one features eight episodes while season two already features five launched episodes and more in the making.  As different choices lead to different results, there is also a sizeable replay value that is well worth your hard earned cash.

Gentle on your system

The game is quite soft the system requirements side. You need an Intel Dual Core, 3GB of RAM and a 512MB RAM video card, which means that it should be playable even on relatively new budget laptops.

The game is also available for the mobile and console platforms. Enjoy!

Saints Row 5 Fully-fledged Multiplayer Leaks

With the great reviews and public reception received by Saints Row IV you would think a new sequel should have been launched years ago. Sadly that was not the case as poor choices led gamers away from Volition, which is now struggling to convince Deep Silver that is worthy to get another chance.

Loyal fans however still dream that one day they will receive a sequel. Here is a list of the most coveted features that should bring the popular franchise back to life.

Fully-fledged multiplayer

While co-op multiplayer was a feature in previous Saints Row games, a full multiplayer mode would make many fans happy.  It would make lots of activities better and it would also allow for more sales (as Grand Theft Auto Online helped GTA V become the monolith it is today.

Customizations

In-depth customization features are also wanted. Previous game featured character customizations but things like body parts editing. Complex tattoos and companion customization would be more than welcome. Even if they are locked behind micro-transactions, adding some sort of earnable in-game method would make them far more attractive. They should avoid lootboxes though.

Bring it back to the roots

One of the greatest mistakes that Volition committed was going too far away from what made Saints Row fun in the first place. Saints Row IV was basically a dream come true for many fans. But Saints Row Gat out of Hell was a shell of a game filled to the brim with fun activities but almost no story content.  And Agents of Mayhem was a flop, even though it shared many of the features that made the previous installments great.

Rumored release date

With Red Dead Redemption launching this year and GTA VI supposedly in the making Volition needs to strive in order to launch it in a convenient timeframe. Let us hope that the date will come before it is dismissed as another death franchise.

Fortnite Update 5.21 Patch: Update Download Available

The most recent patch released for Fortnite, v5.21, was introduced this week on Nintendo Switch, PC, Xbox One, PS4 and mobile. This update adds new features to the game: time-limited modes named Sniper Shootout and Soaring 50s, as well as a weapon called Heavy Sniper. In this article we will take a closer look at these additions to see if they are improving Fortnite in any way.

Sniper Shootout LTM

This new LTM features only sniper rifles, such as scoped guns (including newly added Heavy Sniper) and non-scoped long-range guns. A very important part of the shooter genre, snipers-only mode provides players with an exciting experience, creating a stressful and tense atmosphere. While it is better to avoid getting shot, the map offers many health packs and shield buffs, so there is always a chance to improve the health levels. Overall, Sniper Shootout is definitely up there with other great Fortnite LTMs.

Soaring 50s LTM

Getting its name from added mobility options, Soaring 50s is a standard 50v50 mode. This extra mobility was achieved mostly thanks to the glider, which can be used in the air at least 10 meters above the ground. The additional launch pads, bounce pads and impulse grenades provide more ways of starting the flight. The mobility in this LTM allows to escape the danger in many situations, but it can also isolate a player from his teammates. This mode is fast-paced, but also chaotic, so there will be those who will not enjoy it fully.

Heavy Sniper

This new weapon is available in Epic-level and Legendary-level versions. It can be found in vending machines, chests, supply drops and regular loot. The Heavy Sniper causes a lot of destruction, as its damage is 150+ per shot and 1050+ against structures. Thanks to a minimal bullet drop, this weapon is very effective at long-range distances. The only real downside is rather the long reload time and just one bullet in the chamber, so every shot matters while using Heavy Sniper.

Diablo III Available to Download and Play on Switch

Finally, there is some good news for the fans of Diablo III. This very popular game will become available on Switch later this year, being the first Blizzard title compatible with a Nintendo platform in around 15 years. But this is not all, as Legend of Zelda should also arrive on Switch somewhere in 2018.

Porting of Diablo III to Switch went smoothly

According to Pete Stilwell, a senior producer, the process of porting Diablo III was accomplished without any complications and the hardest part of it was the “conversion on the graphics site”. During a meeting that took place earlier this week in San Francisco, Stilwell offered hope to the fans of Blizzard productions, saying that the porting of Diablo III to Switch is just the beginning and more titles are expected to follow. He also praised Nintendo for their help and attitude in the porting process.

The whole process took nine months

Diablo III was a perfect choice for a Switch port, as a lot of work was done a few years ago, when the game was transformed from PC to consoles. It is also worth mentioning that Blizzard had additional help from Iron Galaxy, the studio responsible for the Switch port of Skyrim in 2017. In case of Diablo III, the whole process of making the game compatible with Switch took around nine months.

What about other Blizzard games

The successful process of porting Diablo III does not mean that all other Blizzards titles will be adapted to Switch, as each game will still require a separate process. Overwatch was given as an example of such game, however, Stilwell said that there is a possibility of a Switch port of this title as well.

We do not have good news for those who hope to see Diablo on mobile devices, as Stilwell stated that there is no interest in this. He also said that they would have to face many challenges in the process of adopting Diablo to the requirements of smartphones.

The senior producer also stated that the version of Diablo III will be much improved, compared to the game we all played after its launch in 2012.

 GRIEFERS will get punished

If you ever encounter a griefer, you will see how obvious it would be to identify it. It will appear on everyone’s map as a red indicator, and it will also be considered a wanted murderer with a bounty on their had.

The new perk system

Fallout 76 will come with a new way of trading cards. Besides the fact that you can unlock them at every level, you can also increase your skills. The cards can also be shared with comrade if you are a player with high Charisma.

Your own mods and servers

If you want a more contained experience, you will be able to use the private servers mods will be available for handling and if any issues occur Bethesda will deal with them.

Do not let nukes get to your base

If you want to defend yourself, you can create a base of operations by building settlements and structures. Beside Super Mutants and Raiders a new force comes in the game, the nukes. You can now launch nukes against your opponents, but you will also need to defend from the ones sent towards you.

If you want to destruct your base nuclearly, you will need to blueprint the builds sometime ahead. You can pop your base up to another location even though it is leveled and you can also use it if you simply want to move.
