Fallout 76 Is Not Going To Become A Free-To-Play Game, Although It’s The Worst Game of The Series

Recently, Bethesda removed physical copies of Fallout 76 from stores in various regions. Soon afterward, rumors have emerged saying that Bethesda has been doing that in preparation for the transition of Fallout 76 to a free-to-play game. But Bethesda is not going to do that, although Fallout 76 is the worst game of the series so that not many gamers are willing to give money for it.

“Fallout 76 goes Free-to-Play, I want my money back. Straight up. 500 Atoms ain’t gonna cut it this time. As a diehard fan, there’d be no coming back to that slap in the face,” said an upset gamer on Twitter. Bethesda replied to him by saying that “there is no truth to this rumor.”

Even though the game will still be available for money, Bethesda cut off Fallout 76’s price considerably. Now, you can buy it from Amazon, for example, with only $40, which is by $20 less costly than the launch price.

However, only those who logged into Fallout 76 before the end of 2018 would get this offer. Also, the Fallout Classic Collection is only available for PC, but Fallout 76 gamers on every platform can download it.

Fallout 76 launched with a lot of bugs, disappointing the fans. Also, the sales were way below the level of Fallout 4 in 2015, and there were even fewer players than during the Fallout 76 BETA period. That could mean that gamers had already seen a lot of this game before its official launch so that they started looking for other, new titles.

Besides all that, Fallout 76 can become a decent game if Bethesda would change the game’s basic gameplay systems. The games studio has already done that before with its The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, but achieving the same with Fallout 76 is much more challenging.

GTA 5 Surpassed Fallout 76 In 2018, Ending Another Excellent Year

Fallout 76 was one of the most sought-after games of the year, but, unfortunately for Bethesda, it was a disaster regarding sales. On the other hand, the famous GTA 5, a game released by Rockstar Games in 2013, sold more copies in 2018 than Fallout 76.

Grand Theft Auto 5 is still a popular title among gamers, and since 2013 it has been selling better than the majority of the games released between 3013 and 2018. And that’s a significant achievement for Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive, the two companies behind the title, which are now reportedly working on GTA 6.

Bethesda To Launch Two More Fallout 76 Updates In December

Todd Howard may have anticipated the severe problems that would accompany the launch of Fallout 76, but it is unlikely that Bethesda would have thought it would be necessary to take such an assessment two weeks after the release of its game. Bethesda To Launch Two More Fallout 76 Updates In December

The December 4th update will begin by increasing the storage limit for the safe house from 400 to 600, and it is planned to raise this level again after that, once Bethesda is confident that this action will not cause any stability problems. On the loot side, players will typically receive two or three items after shooting a boss, depending on the difficulty and level of the creature.

In the December 11th update, Bethesda will focus on adding PC-specific options, including a new aspect ratio support, a field of view adjustment, push-to-talk voice chat, and the new Bulldozer feature for the C.A.M.P. that will remove small trees, rocks and other natural obstacles that limit construction.

Another change Bethesda would implement into Fallout 76 would be that after level 50, the user will be able to choose between a new perk card or modify a SPECIAL point already assigned.
