PlayStation 4 6.50 firmware update gave the owners of the console the possibility to control the system directly from their iPads or iPhones, with the help of Remote Play for iOS. There is also a new app, PS4 Remote Play, that’s available right now to download from the App Store – and it’s for free.

PS4 Remote Play is going to let all of its iOS device users to control their PS4, to join voice chats just by using the microphone, or enter text on their console by using their keyboards from their smartphones.

What you need to use the Remote Play for iOS

For you to use the app, you’ll need iOS 12.1, or later, a PlayStation Network account, of course, and a WiFi network from home. You cannot use PS4 Remote Play with a mobile network, and it’s not compatible with a DualShock 4 controller either. We know this for sure from the app’s release notes.

Pokemon Go Gets A Brand New Special Event – The Legendary Lunch Hour

Next week, Niantic decided to host a new special event in Pokemon Go, one they called The Legendary Lunch Hour. The company hopes that would be only the first of a series of events that the fans would love to play.

More specifically, Pokemon Go’s The Legendary Lunch Hour would start on Wednesday, March 13th, and would run between 12 PM and 1 PM local time. That means, regardless of where you live, The Legendary Lunch Hour would take place between the same hours. The whole idea behind the event, as the name suggests, is to offer the players a chance to participate in special Raid Battles during their lunch break.

Niantic itself admits that this new Pokemon Go special event is only experimental, and the fans are free to offer their feedback on The Legendary Lunch Hour mode. If Pokemon Go players enjoy it, Niantic will run this event weekly.

The Legendary Hour is the brand new Pokemon Go special event

“To give you more ways to enjoy Pokémon GO, we’re trying out a new event called Legendary Lunch Hour! The first Legendary Lunch Hour will take place on March 13, and with your help, we hope to make this an event you can enjoy every week,” is how Niantic describes this new special even in Pokemon Go.

As mentioned above, The Legendary launch Hour would come with increased chances for Raid Battles. Also, the players have the opportunity to team up with classmates or colleagues to participate in Raid Battles during the lunch break, between 12 PM and 1 PM on Wednesday, next week.

However, this new Pokemon Go special event won’t be the only one next week. Niantic will also bring back the Gen 3 Legendary Rayquaza for the Raid Weekend event from March 15th to March 18th.

Metal Slug Infinity Pre-Registration Is Available On The Google Play Store

Back in October last year, Metal Slug Infinity was announced. Now, after a few months of waiting, fans can now pre-register on the Google Play Store. The game is the latest installment in the Metal Slug series, and it should offer the same action-packed experience.

For those who haven’t played any Metal Slug games before, you should know that they use an almost “idle” gameplay. That means that various actions take place automatically. You don’t control everything in the game, and your job is to handle specific operations such as certain tap controls.

While this might not be good enough for hardcore gamers, many people seem to enjoy them, as these games allow them to focus more on strategy. In Metal Slug Infinity you will be able to manage the equipment and the troops. It is very important to build a strong army, as it would the one fighting your enemies.

Metal Slug Infinity Pre-Registration Is Available On The Google Play Store

If we take a closer look at the trailer for the game, it appears that players will be able to collect various vehicles, such as fighter jets, helicopters, tanks, and more. The art style for Metal Slug Infinity will come with some updates. The game adopts an adorable artwork which looks almost hand-drawn.

It appears that the change has been implemented so that the new game will attract even people who are not necessarily fans of the game series.

However, despite the fact that the visuals and the gameplay have been slightly changed, Metal Slug Infinity doesn’t look that different from the previous games in the series. But we can’t pronounce ourselves just yet, as the game isn’t out yet. If you wish to pre-register for Metal Slug Infinity, you can do it already on the Google Play Store.

Anthem Patch Is Coming Out Next Week To Fix PlayStation 4 Crashes

PlayStation 4 owners experienced a significant issue when it came to BioWare’s Anthem. The game made their PlayStation 4 systems crash. Fortunately, an Anthem patch will be releas]ed in an update that is supposed to come out on March 12. That should fix the frustrating issue.
Ben Irving, the lead producer of Anthem, explained in a Twitch stream that they discovered why these crashes occur.

More than that, both Sony and BioWare investigated the problem, and they discovered that there were no bricked consoles.

“After a thorough review, we have not encountered an instance where Anthem has ‘bricked’ a PS4 console. If you are experiencing anything different, please reach out to @EAHelp so we can track the incident and investigate. In all the instances we’re aware of that we’ve investigated in partnership with first-party, they can be powered back up if you know how just to turn the power back on, and cycle it properly,” Irving explained.

An Anthem would come out next week to fix PlayStation 4 crashes and more

Chad Robertson, head of live service at BioWare, also shared the news on Twitter. He explained that the patch that will come next week should fix this issue.

“We’ve identified several causes for the temp power-down crash some PlayStation 4 users experienced,” Robertson said. “Fixes for the top issues are in the Anthem patch next week. If you encounter a game crash where your PS4 console won’t respond, you can manually power down and restart it – no risk of damage.

That isn’t the only Anthem problem that will be fixed by the upcoming Anthem patch. For instance, BioWare is planning to fix some issues related to damage scaling. This problem made certain high-level weapons become less powerful than the primary weapon that you unlock when you first start playing the game. Nonetheless, we do not know whether this issue will be fixed in the next update as well.

Mario Kart Is Nintendo’s Best-Selling Franchise, And That Before The Launch Of Mario Kart Tour

When it comes to popular Nintendo franchises, many fans will point to Super Mario games. Undoubtedly, Super Mario series is one of the most loved franchises created by Nintendo, but there is another one that overcomes Super Mario. Mario Kart is Nintendo’s best-selling franchise, and more games in this series would come, including Mario Kart Tour, the first mobile game of the franchise.

Well, other producers have their iconic characters. Nintendo, for its part, has Mario. It’s straightforward to think that Mario’s main series, Super Mario, would be the most popular and the best-selling franchise of the Japanese entertainment company. You’d not be accurate, though, as the figures highlight that Mario Kart is the fan-favorite series and the one that has grossed more than Super Mario since Nintendo 3DS up till now.

That’s because Mario Kart is not only about Mario, though he is the main character. The series gathers virtually all the fan-favorite characters Nintendo created.

Mario Kart is Nintendo’s best-selling franchise, and Mario Kart Tour would make it even more popular

Just for the statistic enthusiasts out there, Super Mario Odyssey is the second-best-selling franchise of Nintendo with 13.76 million units sold. The first one, as you have figured out already, is Mario Kart 8 Deluxe with 15.02 million copies sold. The third, as you might expect, is the recently-released Super Mario Bros Ultimate. And we’re only talking about Nintendo Switch here.

On Nintendo 3DS, on the other hand, the top-4 best-selling games contain three Pokemon titles – Pokemon X/Y, Pokemon Sun/Moon, Pokemon Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire. However, Mario Kart 7 outsold all these favorite Pokemon games, totaling 18.11 million units sold.

Mario Kart Tour is currently on its way to mobile platforms. But once this first mobile game of the series rolls out in summer for Android and iOS, Nintendo’s Mario Kart franchise would become even more popular than it has always been.
