Sony Would Not Release The Xperia XZ4 Compact Variant, Reportedly

Lately, OEMs bet on smartphones with increasingly larger screens and thinner bezels. Therefore, each year, we get dozens of bigger mobile phones. Accordingly, the compact smartphones became rarer. That’s why the majority of big names in the industry quit thinking about launching such phones. In this regard, reportedly, Sony would not release the so-called Xperia XZ4 Compact variant.

The idea that Sony might shut down the development of the compact version of its Xperia XZ4 came after Sony Mobile’s Vice President of Marketing, Mr. Don Mesa, reported that the company “stuck with Compact for a very long time, because of the ease of use. There’s always room for different sizes, but people want a lot more surface area for their content now.”

While Don Mesa’s statement is not directly saying that Xperia XZ4 Compact variant is not going to launch, but the VP suggests that larger smartphones attract more and more consumers, so there’s no reason for investing money and time in producing a so-called compact smartphone.

Reportedly, Sony Would Not Release Xperia XZ4 Compact Variant

However, the statement released by Don Mesa on DigitalTrends is open to interpretation. Since some Xperia XZ Compact renders leaked, some would think that this smartphone will indeed come out, eventually, and that Don Mesa referred to future devices. On the other hand, Steve H. McFly (@OnLeaks on Twitter), the author of the before-mentioned leaks of XZ Compact renders, also confirmed that the compact variant of Xperia XZ4 got shut down.

“Bad news for those which were excited regarding the upcoming #SONY #XPERIAZ4Compact… It seems like it has likely been axed,” reported Steve H. McFly on Twitter.

According to OnLeaks, his Xperia XZ4 Compact renders were not fake, so I guess that Sony decided to shut down the project in the last minute. Even though we hope that Sony would continue its work on compact smartphones, we don’t expect to see a Sony compact device with flagship technical specs anytime soon.

Another set of iPhones will be Released by Apple – One of Them has Three Cameras

As it happened in 2018, Apple will come up again with three iPhones this September, another ‘budget’ iPhone XR with an LCD screen and two equipped with OLED displays.

Some of the iPhones in this series will have even more cameras. According to a new report in the Wall Street Journal, the iPhone XR will be replaced by another phone even though it is considered under-performing regarding sales. It can still change its impression in the long run.

One leak suggests that the replacement of the iPhone XS Max will sport a three-camera setup, according to Gordon Kelly from Forbes. The people behind the design of the new phone seem like they are trying to play with some asymmetrical arrangement of snappers, but it is still only a rumor.

However, who would mind an extra camera right? Probably it will be a wide angle one.

Regarding the iPhone XS which measures 5.8 inches, its successor might stick with the usual two camera setup.

In case this will happen, there will be a change from last year as in September 2018 when the phones were released, the only difference between the iPhone XS Max and iPhone XS was their size. Some manufacturers tend to make the smaller device less impressive, but Apple did not do that.

The sizes of the phones might not change, and if so, they will remain the 6.1 inches, 5.8 inches, and 6.5 inches.

The successor of iPhone XR is said to be the last iPhone that will ever be equipped with an LCD screen as in 2020 all phone released by Apple will sport OLED displays.

One change that will happen to the next iPhone XR will be that it might get an additional camera.

Most Useful Brawl Stars Beginner’s Guide

Tip #1: Choose a Role

In case you are playing with a team of clubmates or friends, this tip will be particularly useful in this case. When it comes to teams, each member should take upon a role and learn to stick together as one especially if winning is part of your goals.

Tip #2: Secure the First Kill

If everybody has chosen their role, you can now begin the game. The gems that you will see are quite tempting to go after, but one thing is sure: first of all, you need to communicate with your team and make them see that they need to secure the first kill using all the strategic moves they have gotten.  If you secure your first kill, you will get a significant leg up, and you will also gain control of the ground. This is what happens in strategic battle games. The first one is the best one.

Tip #3: Bunching Up should be avoided

When you and your teammates stay together in one place, you will look more like a target, and it will be easier for your enemy to do a significant amount of damage to the whole team. What is very important is that the center, right, and left are always covered by a few players. This way it will not be as easy for the enemy to take control of the game and your side.

Tip #4: Spawn Trapping should be your focus

After you and your team are starting to gain control of the map, the next step is to keep the opposing team where they belong: trapped as close to their spawn as possible. This way you will give them less chance to deal damage to your gem carrier, and you almost cancel their change to gain control of any gems.

What will the iPhone X2 look like? – Sliding Camera at the Top

The next flagship phone from Apple did not receive a name yet so we are still unsure whether we should call it iPhone X2 or iPhone XI as the company kept its mouth shut. However, we got excited by the concept from Antonio de Rosa, the popular designer, of how the phone should function and look. The newest addition to the iPhone X2 is a slider to lift the camera.

Sliders Not New to Phones

Not more than a decade ago phones used to have a slider at the bottom that would reveal the keyboard. Now as every phone manufacturing is focusing on getting rid of everything that can make the display of their phones smaller, models like Oppo Find X and  Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 use sliding mechanisms to hide the cameras. In the concept designed by de Rosa, the slide is located in the back panel, and it lifts the rear cameras so they can take pictures.

Several Specifications Added to the Concept Design

What we can see from the video provided is that the iPhone X2 concept phone sports a  Super Retina display with a high pixel density of 458ppi and a screen resolution of 3000 x 1386 pixels. The cameras which are held by the slider will appear in just 0.15 seconds responding to a switch. Within the Apple logo, there is a fingerprint sensor hidden on the rear panel.

The color of the phone is also attractive as it features a double tone effect.

What you should keep in mind is that this design might not be accepted by the manufacturer and that this is only how the artist would like the phone to look like. Apple has hundreds of designs to choose from, so we can’t get attached to this one.
