Huawei Mate 20 Got Its First Unofficial Images Leaked Online

Three weeks before its official presentation, set for mid-October, Huawei Mate 20 Pro appeared online in a series of leaked photos, showing a fantastic three cameras system on the back. After moving into second place in global mobile phone sales, Huawei aims to become the market’s leader outperforming Samsung.

With that in mind, the Chinese manufacturer is counting heavily on the launch of its Huawei Mate 20 Pro scheduled for launch on October 16th in London.

According to the latest images that were leaked online on Twitter by Roland Quandt, the upcoming Huawei Mate 20 Pro will also boast three cameras on the back, but in a square format, which is unique for Huawaei.

Is Huawei Mate 20 inspired by Apple and Samsung smartphones?

If some voiced that the Huawei P20 Pro was inspired by the iPhone X, the upcoming Huawei Mate 20 Pro completely revises its design and opts for a smaller notch at the top of its screen. Besides, the Chinese manufacturer adds some curved screen design lines similar to what Samsung Galaxy S9 is offering.

However, the Huawei Mate 20 boasts an OLED display of 6.3 inches and the highest resolution ever offered by Huawei. Above all, the Huawei Mate 20 Lite, which was officially presented at the beginning of September, is an entry-level version smartphone, packing a Kirin 710 processor only, backed up by 4 GB of RAM, which would be sufficient for efficient performance. Also, the upcoming Huawei smartphone would boast a 3,750-mAh battery which woul have a 10% additional endurance, according to the Chinese manufacturer.

The camera is the best feature of the new Huawei Mate 20, boasting three performant cameras, of 20-MP sensors, backed up by another 2-MP one, all supported by artificial intelligence and settings that adapt to the scene. Also, the upcoming Huawei model would come out with customized 3D Qmoji.

Files can be stored more easily with macOS 10.14 (Mojave)

The new macOS 10.14 (Mojave) features an automatical files organizer that groups documents, images, and videos, among others, into logical groups with a single click.

Several criteria can be taken into account, including the type of document (images, documents, spreadsheets or PDFs, among others), the creation date, or the file metadata. Another function allows users to organize separate files by stacking them by genre quickly.

macOS Mojave comes with an enhanced search system

The macOS Finder now enables you to browse files by gallery by scrolling through small previews to identify them more easily. Quick actions are now available in the preview pane to work directly on these files (rotate, create PDFs, annotate a document, change the length of a video) without opening them in an application.

Easier connectivity between macOS 10.14 and iOS

Google Maps Best Tricks For Mobility and Entertainment in 2018

Add multiple locations

Usually, when you are searching for a destination on Google Maps, it makes a simple plan to get from point A to point B. If you want to make stops during your trip, you can use the Add Stop option in the app which can be found in the menu aka the horizontal dots in the top right corner.

Use street view to travel

If you are curious to see what other people do over the world, you can use Street View to check neighborhoods, but another advantage of this option is that you can see a lot of old photos. Click on the clock-shaped icon in the top left corner after launching Street View in your browser, and from there you can take a look at all the pictures taken by Google for any specific spot.

While riding your bike, you would hate to run into a big hill that you did not know of. Next time you go out for a ride, you can go on Google Maps first and ask for the biking directions. The graph which will appear will show you the steepness of each part of your route, and you will no longer be faced with something unexpectedly.

If you’re using Google Maps in your browser, you can easily measure the distance between any two locations. Right-click somewhere on the map and select “Measure Distance.” Then, click anywhere else to see how far away it is.

It is super easy to make a trip plan based on the distance measured, and Google map can help you do just that. After clicking somewhere on the map, press Measure Distance. After that click anywhere else and you will see how far away that chosen destination is.

Zoom in and out with just one finger

Usually, we would pinch the screen in order to zoom the image, but sometimes we only have on hand that we can use. If you want to use only one finger, you need to tap twice on the screen of your phone, and after that, you need to hold it down on the spot you want to look better at. Google Maps will zoom that image in, and by sliding your finger up and down, you can adjust the scale how you prefer.

Without internet connection

If you do not have the internet or you do not want to use or your data for Google Maps, you can download a map of the area you are traveling to. Go to offline maps and choose from a wide variety of maps that will help you orientate on your next trip. This will help you a lot because it works like a GPS.

Amazon Stepped Up and Donated $1 Million to Wikipedia

Wikipedia is the renowned free online encyclopedia owned by Wikimedia that exists thanks to donations, but very few people invest in it. It is an excellent service, and one example for that is the digital assistants which rely on Wikipedia to generate answers to the users’ questions, but the devs, on their part, are not really grateful to Wikipedia. However, Amazon has just stepped up and donated $1 million to Wikipedia.

Over the time, Apple, Facebook, Google, and Microsoft have made some small efforts to support this free online encyclopedia by making some small investments in Wikipedia. At most, each of the before-mentioned companies gave about $50,000 which, given their profits, seems very low.

Now, Amazon has stepped up and donated $1 million to Wikimedia to thank them for the excellent free online encyclopedia, Wikipedia, and also to reward them for their Wikipedia API which Amazon uses to improve the quality of its service.

In the press release, Amazon acknowledges that the Wikipedia free online encyclopedia has played a “crucial role in the success of his voice assistant.” However, the Amazon’s representative also stated that Wiki is just one of the “hundreds of sources” the company uses to build its assistant’s answers.

This announcement comes just days after Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos himself announced the creation of a $2 billion fund to support education. According to Bezos, Amazon is pleased to share the same visions with Wikimedia, to “share knowledge globally.”
