Azure Digital Twins to launch in October

Azure Digital Twins provides the companies with the tools to create their own digital twins of their machines, infrastructures or products. According to the US news portals, Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger would not have appreciated Mark Zuckerberg’s growing investment in their application business. In yet another hard blow for Facebook, the two founders and leaders of Instagram, the photo-sharing application acquired by the world’s most extensive social network, Facebook, in 2012, have announced their resignation and will leave the company “in the upcoming weeks.” Sources close to the two men report strained relations with Mark Zuckerberg as the main reason for their resignations.

Kevin Systrom, Instagram’s CEO, and Mike Krieger, Director of Technology Affairs, informed the rest of the management team and Instagram’s parent company, Facebook, on Monday, of their decision, but without giving a clear explanation, as revealed by the New York Times, before the two founders confirm the news via an official statement.

“We want to take some time to explore our curiosity and creativity again,” writes Kevin Systrom, who points to the need for him to “step back” before launching new projects. Facebook, for its part, has not yet commented on these departures.

This announcement comes when the Instagram application is fortifying its position as the leader of the social networks.

Created in 2010 and bought by Facebook in 2012 for $1 billion, Instagram has primarily monetized its audience in recent years, adding ads and other sponsored content to the application. In June, Instagram announced that it had passed the billion-user mark, benefiting in particular from the growing popularity among young people, a target that Facebook is now struggling to reach.

As reported by XDA-Developers, an early build of Samsung Experience 10 based on Android 9 Pie rolled out last week, boasting a quite controversial design. However, it’s now only supporting Samsung Galaxy S9 or Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus with Snapdragon chipsets, so users of another Samsung Galaxy models should wait for a final version. Luckily, the XDA-Developers team extracted some parts out of this release, including the Samsung Experience 10 Launcher, and made them available for Samsung Galaxy phones with Android 8.0+. Besides, the devs also extracted the new Samsung Internet 9.0.

The new Samsung Experience 10 Launcher brings new changes

While the new Samsung Experience 10 Launcher is quite similar to the previous one (the 9.5 version), there are some new improvements and some visual changes.

Accordingly, the new Launcher boasts larger icons and new animations for launching Bixby Home. For those who use Bixby Home, the new Samsung Experience 10 Launcher allows it to load faster than the previous version. However, we’re talking here about an extraction made out of an early-build Samsung Experience 10 based on Android 9 Pie so, eventually, when the final variant is live, many other changes might appear.

According to the official XDA-Developers blog post on this one, you can’t just load up the app on top of your existing launcher installation because Samsung doesn’t allow you to upgrade system apps in that way. However, the team came up with a solution.

After using App Cloner from the Google Play Store to clone the new Samsung Experience 10 Launcher APK, the XDA-Developers managed to come out with a stable version that could be installed and function in parallel to the pre-loaded system launcher.

According to XDA, the new Samsung Experience 10 Launcher APK runs on any Samsung Galaxy device with Android 8.0 Oreo or newer, meaning that it works on Samsung Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 Edge, Galaxy Note FE, Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8 Plus, Galaxy Note 8, Galaxy S9, Galaxy S9 Plus, and Galaxy Note 9.
