XDefiant: When Is the Game Coming Out?

No, there are certainly not enough shooter games out there. Shooter games are like gambling opportunities: the more you have, the better. That’s especially available when we’re talking about free shooter games such as the upcoming XDefiant.

XDefiant is a forthcoming free-to-play arena shooter that was supposed to come out in the summer of 2023, but many gamers became disappointed. We’re in 2024, and the game still hasn’t arrived, although we have plenty of information about what to expect. The in-game footage also looks very exciting for anyone who’s into shooter games.

XDefiant could be coming soon

There is some evidence that we can expect for XDefiant to launch pretty soon. A recent update from Mark Rubin, the Executive Producer, gives players reasons to be optimistic, suggesting that the prolonged wait may soon come to an end.

Ever since the Beta launch of the game that took place back in June 2023, XDefiant has generated a lot of anticipation. However, details about the official release date have been scant, as the development team has been providing minimal updates. Initially slated for a Summer 2023 release, the game’s launch was postponed to Q4 2023. As for now, the actual release date remains uncertain, but let’s not lose hope!.

Here’s the statement of Mark Rubin, as Esports Illustrated quotes:

The team is getting back into office this week and we are ready for a great year! We will have some more specific news in the next couple of weeks as we get ready for launch. But the quick update on our progress is: 1) We have addressed the weird issues that were affecting Netcode and we will continue to improve and test our netcode before and after launch, and 2) we’ve implemented the new Party System and are now just putting it through rigorous testing and bug fixing as we get ready for launch. I also want to give a shout out to those team members who worked through the holidays. Much of our team is working on future content but many of those that are working on getting the game ready to ship did put in some hours over the holidays and I want to recognize their dedication. We try very hard to not be a crunch studio as we care about our people and their families. The whole team is very dedicated to XDefiant and we are super excited to launch this game!

The guys from Ubisoft didn’t hesitate to publish footage of the upcoming game, even though the title is not ready yet for release. It’s interesting to see how the upcoming game will compete against titles such as Apex Legends, Counter-Strike 2, PUBG, Call of Duty: Warzone, and other exciting shooters that dominate the market today. Ubisoft is known as a highly respectable gaming company, as it is responsible for developing highly immersive and popular titles such as Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, Far Cry 3, Assassin’s Creed, and many others.

In other words, we can definitely expect Ubisoft to do an amazing job with XDefiant as well.

First, and most important, would be the introduction of two new operators in Rainbow Six Siege Burnt Horizon, plus a brand-new map. The changes would be available for all platforms (Xbox One, PC, and PlayStation 4) starting with tomorrow, March 5th.

“To help optimize the player experience for future updates, we are also in the process of restructuring how our game data is stored – this will help consolidate and reduce the overall game size. As mentioned, two new operators would come t Rainbow Six Siege Burnt Horizon expansion pack – Gridlock and Mozzie. Both would represent a considerable part of the Operation Burnt Horizon. Fan-favorite Oregon and Clubhouse were the inspiration when designing the 21st map of the game,” Ubisoft said.

Ubisoft’s “The Division 2” To Roll Out on Epic Games Store Instead of Steam

Epic Game Stores just accomplished its first significant achievement over the Steam platform. According to a recent report, Ubisoft will roll out its The Division 2 video game on Epic Game Store instead of Steam.

When The Division 2 would come out in March 2019, Ubisoft’s online action-RPG will be available in digital format on Epic Games Store, the new online games platform developed by Epic Games, the devs behind many successful titles such as Fortnite: Battle Royale, as a competitor to the Valve’s popular Steam platform.

At the moment, the fans of the Ubisoft’s series can pre-order The Division 2 from Epic Games Store. Also, Epic Games Store would be the only third-party digital store to sell The Division 2, besides the Ubisoft’s own storefront platform. The deal between Epic and Ubisoft is of great significance as it represents a direct blow to Valve’s Steam platform.

“We entrust Epic to deliver a smooth journey for our fans, from pre-ordering the game and enjoying our Beta to the launch,” stated Chris Early, the vice president of partnerships at Ubisoft. “Epic continues to disrupt the video game industry, and their third-party digital distribution model is the latest example, and something Ubisoft wants to support.”

Epic Games Store has already accomplished a few critical partnerships besides this recent one with Ubisoft. Accordingly, indie publishers like Annapurna Interactive (What Remains of Edith Finch, Journey) and Team Meat (Super Meat Boy) have already signed deals with Epic Games Store.

Besides The Division 2, which would roll out in March this year, Ubisoft announced that it would sell other titles on Epic Games Store in 2019, as well. However, they did not inform if those would be exclusively launched on the Epic store. If so, it would be a significant blow to Steam.

Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey To Come With A New, More Personalized Combat System

With the new Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey, Ubisoft promises enormous freedom to let us do things the way we want. The video games developing company has announced some exciting news on Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey, this time revolving around the game’s combat system and the enormous versatility it would offer to the player.

“You have a base combat system and, from there, everything we put on top has the mission of facilitating your advantage over the rest of the enemies,” explained Jonathan Dumont, the creative director of the game, in an interview with the Gamespot video games news portal.

“We also wanted there to be some choice on the part of the player, so we were trying to have some freedom at the core of everything we’ve added, but in this case, having to create your own style of play, your own class and thinking about how great it would be to mix the different skills. But we also wanted to allow the players to decide whether they wanted to specialize, for example, in only four things if that was enough for them,” Dumont added.

The new combat system in Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey to fit every gamer’s style

“We were looking for a more personalized approach rather than supporting a particular way of playing Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey, or unlocking things in a certain order,” the creative director said.

“Investing points where you want, but distributing them where you also want to create your own style. Because the Assassin’s Creed saga has been on the market for ten years, and we all play it differently. Some people want to play it stealthily, while others want more combat, so we want to make sure the style of play is right for you, and that the game allows you to enjoy the title as you wish,” Jonathan Dumont, the Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey creative director concluded.

Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey will launch on October 5th, 2018.
