AT&T and Verizon To Launch Red Hydrogen One on Friday, November 2nd

AT&T announced that it would launch its new Red Hydrogen One, the world’s first holographic smartphone, on Friday, November 2nd, with an exclusive offer.

AT&T and Verizon To Launch Red Hydrogen One on Friday, November 2nd, with exclusive offers

Red Hydrogen One is the first smartphone produced by the cinema camera manufacturer Red, which would also be the first holographic smartphone in the world. It would cost $43.17 for a 30-month contract with eligibility for AT&T’s upgrade service Next, as reported by Android Authority. That means the total cost of the new device would be $1,295.10.

Verizon will also release Red Hydrogen One on Friday but with a different plan. According to Android Authority, Verizon would sell the world’s first holographic smartphone for $53.95 per month for 24 months, totaling a cost of $1,294.80 at the end of the contract.

Red Hydrogen One Is the World’s First Holographic Smartphone

Red Hydrogen One’s main feature is the proprietary display technology called “4-View” (4V) which is designed to create a holographic experience for the first time in the world of smartphones. According to those who witnessed this function, “4-View” generates an interesting visual effect, even though is not like what we see in SciFi movies as nothing pops out of the screen.

Instead, the holographic effect of Red Hydrogen One is more related to screen depth than to an actual hologram. “4-View” would permit you to see different angles of an image on display depending on how you hold the handset.

Also, the 4V technology would be useless without the implication of devs and content producers. To take advantage of the “4-View” holographic technology, apps creators, as well as content makers, must come up with 4-View-compatible products. Besides, according to AT&T, a series of 4V-compatible movies would also be available once the Hydrogen Network is up and live.

Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL Problems And Their Solutions

The new Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL are among the top five Android smartphones to date. They have top-end specifications, robust software, excellent camera features, and, of course, the artificial intelligence that Google included in them. However, the devices are not perfect. Since the launch of these phones there have been some problems related to some of their functions, and if you bought one of them, you could be experiencing one of these annoying situations as well.

In case you have any inconvenience related to your Google Pixel 3 or Pixel 3 XL, we have made this guide where you will find everything you need to know about the most common problems of the Pixel 3 line, and how to solve them.

Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL Photos Are Not Automatically Saved

Several users have reported that after taking a photo with the camera application, those photos are not saved, which means that the image could disappear forever. That is a significant problem and one that seems to be quite widespread, as you can see a lot of complaints on social networks and sites like Reddit.

The problem seems to be related to the way Pixel 3, and Pixel 3 XL handle the internal storage, and it occurs specifically when users exit the camera app before HDR processing is complete. Fortunately, this means it can be fixed with a software update.

For now, the only way to avoid losing a photo is to keep the camera application open for a few seconds after the picture is taken until it is saved.

The Music App Shuts Down When You Open Google Camera App

Some other users have reported that opening the Google Camera app while listening to music causes the Music app to close in the background, stopping the playback of what you were listening to. That is another error that seems to be related to memory management in Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL. In the same way that they are the previous problem, the only real solution right now is to wait for a software update. To look for an update, go to Settings -> System -> System Update and make sure you have the latest version of Android.

Your Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL Is Locked With The Verizon Network

That is a situation that makes many shake their heads wondering how this is possible. What happens is that Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL are exclusive Verizon phones, which basically means that Verizon is the only operator in the United States with the right to sell these devices.

However, some users reported that when they bought the Pixel 3 from Best Buy, in order not to have to deal with this problem, they found that it was also locked to work only on the Verizon network, which means that users who bought the phone could not activate it on another network.

Fortunately, it appears that Verizon, at least temporarily, has fully unlocked Pixel 3. The unlock was sent to Pixel 3 phones via an OTA software update, so you should be able to set up your phone without a SIM card, then update and activate it on the network of your choice.

Palm Is The Smallest Android Smartphone Of The Moment

From the manufacturers of Palm, the famous PDA devices which were very popular in the 1990s, here come the “Palm,” which is the smallest Android smartphone of the moment. This gadget would come out in November as a Verizon-exclusive product aiming to be an add-on to your primary handsets.

According to the guys from The Verge, who tested the upcoming Android smartphone from Palm, the device shares your regular phone number and runs Android 8.1 Oreo and all the usual apps within Google Play Store. “It’s like a phone for your phone,” The Verge said. The tech news portal added that the Palm smartphone also boasts Gorilla Glass 3 on display but also on its glassy backside.

The Palm smartphone boasts a 3.3-inch display with 445-PPI and LCD technology. It also packs a 12-megapixel main camera with LED and an 8-MP selfies camera. They didn’t reveal many under the hood technical specs, besides the fact that it comes with 32 Gb of internal storage.

Palm Is The Smallest Android Smartphone Of The Moment

“There’s a single virtual button on the bottom. You tap it once to go back, twice to go home, and long-press it to get to the multitasking screen. Since there are no volume buttons, you need to swipe down the quick settings panel to adjust that. And since there’s no fingerprint sensor, Palm wrote a custom face-unlock feature that uses the 8-megapixel front camera,” according to The Verge.

Also, the Palm, the smallest Android smartphone of the moment, is also boasting a Life Mode that “enables a set of Do Not Disturb and Low Battery settings.”

“In Life Mode, your notifications are obviously turned off, but Palm is also turning off the wireless radios. The cellular and Wi-Fi radios will only turn on when the screen is on. It’s a much more aggressive way to turn off notifications and deny incoming phone calls,” the folks from The Verge said.
