iOS 12.1.2 Update Cuts Mobile Data Connection for iPhone and iPad Devices

Apple launched the new iOS 12.1.2 version to address some bugs in the previous versions and to make some changes here and there. However, it seems that iOS 12.1.2 is moving from bad to worse for dozens of iPhone users around the world as, reportedly, the update cuts mobile data connection for iPhone XR, iPhone XS, and iPhone XS Max, but also other iPhone models and iPad devices.

While the majority of iOS users are rushing to update the OS to the latest iOS 12.1.2 version, many reports rolled out on the Internet, on blogs, forums, and social media, all saying that the new iOS update is cutting mobile data connection for iPhone XR, XS, and XS Max. As for what has Apple said, the Cupertino-based company stated that it “addresses an issue that could affect cellular connectivity in Turkey for iPhone XR, iPhone XS, and iPhone XS Max.”

That’s indeed ironic since, now, the issue expanded to all the iPhone 2018 models across the world, all these users having only one thing in common – the iOS 12.1.2 update.

iOS 12.1.2 Update Cuts Mobile Data Connection for iPhone and iPad Devices

According to dozens of reports posted on Twitter by iOS users, more and more iPhone owners are now suffering from mobile data connection drops after updating their devices to the new iOS 12.1.2 version. At first glance over those Twitter reports, the iOS 12.1.2 issue is affecting iPhone users across North America, Europe, Asia, and South America, as well.

“Thanks, Apple and Apple Support for the Christmas present. Since updating my iPhone to iOS 12.1.2 I can’t access cellular data,” said a Twitter user from New York, United States.

“AppleSupport, iPad Pro 2018 4g cellular only on iOS 12.1.1 and not 12.1.2? When will an update come? I sent you DM already,” said an iPad Pro 2018 user from India, showing that the iOS 12.1.2 updates is also affecting more Apple devices than iPhone XR, XS, and XS Max.

“AppleSupport, My iPhone X is having WiFi connection issues since I updated to iOS 12.1.2,” said an iOS user from Maryland, in the US, who is also the first to report a link between iOS 12.1.2 and potential WiFi connection errors.

While reports keep on flooding on social media, Apple did not share any comment on this iOS 12.1.2 bug. However, iOS 12.1.3 is just around the corner, as Apple started beta testing for this new version.
