Pokemon Go Community Day of February 2019 Already Announced by Niantic

As February is about one week away, it’s the ideal time for Niantic to tease us with details about the Pokemon Go Community Day of February 2019. And indeed, Niantic announced new information on the next event in Pokemon Go which would take place Saturday, February 16th.

“Get out and play together in your local community parks on Pokemon Go Community Day. For just a few hours each month, you can encounter a special Pokemon in the wild. During these hours, there’s a chance to learn a previously unavailable move for that Pokemon or its Evolution, as well as earn some Community Day bonuses. Celebrate what it means to be a part of the Pokemon GO community and make new friends along the way,” explained Niantic the concept of Pokemon Go Community Day.

The Pokemon Go Community Day of February 2019 would feature Swinub Pokemon. It would appear more frequently in the wild, and players can grab a Shiny Swinub during the event, too.

Any Swinub will evolve Mamoswine, its final form, within hours after the event ends. It would also learn a special move, but Niantic did not mention which one would that be. Mamoswine was one of the evolved forms released in Pokemon Go along with the fourth-generation titles. To develop a Swinub into Mamoswine you’d need the Sinnoh Stone, a newly introduced evolutionary item in Pokemon Go.

You can gain a Sinnoh Stone via Trainer Battles, during Pokemon Go Community Day events when coaches have the chance to get up to five Sinnoh Stones by fighting other players.

Pokemon Go Community Day of February 2019 would take place on February 16th between 2 PM and 5 PM ET (10 AM – 1 PM UTC for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa). It would feature Swinub and its Shiny version, as well.

Fuchsia OS That Will Replace Android, Eventually, Can Run on Google Pixel 3 Smartphones

The best part of Google’s Android smartphones is that they always get the most recent Android updates first and these patches are guaranteed for three years. While Google is still working on its Fuchsia OS which will eventually replace Android on smart devices, an indie developer proved that Google Pixel 3 smartphones could already run Fuchsia OS.

About Fuchsia OS

Fuchsia OS is Google’s future operating system for smartphones, tablets, laptops, smart speakers, IoT devices, as well as other gadgets. Fuchsia OS would eventually replace Android on these devices. However, Google did not officially reveal much on which devices would run Fuchsia, but we should expect it to replace Android and Chrome OS.

All we know about Fuchsia OS comes from recent leaks and rumors. We know, for example, how Fuchsia would look like in its first versions and that it can boot on several devices, but, for the moment, we can’t use it instead of Android or Chrome OS.

However, an indie developer installed Fuchsia OS on a Google Pixel 3 smartphone.

According to a recent blog post by 9to5Google, an indie developer managed to install and run Fuchsia OS on his Google Pixel 3 XL smartphone. The tech news portal reminds us that we’re still in the early days of booting Fuchsia OS and Android smartphones, so we shouldn’t try that ourselves.

“This includes booting the Zircon kernel (the absolute minimum software needed to run a device) via fastboot and displaying the Zircon virtual console (think like a command line) on the Pixel 3 XL screen. This console is the only UI though, as it doesn’t tap into any of the other layers of Fuchsia yet. There’s also no way to interact with the virtual console, as there’s no touch or USB support of any kind,” reported 9to5Google.

Fuchsia OS would come out in a few years, even though an exact release date is yet to be announced. The experiment the indie developer conducted proves that current Android smartphones would also be able to run Fuchsia when it rolls out.

iOS 12.1.3 Update Launched With Bug Fixes and Security Improvements

Yesterday, January 22nd, Apple rolled out new updates for its operating systems, such as iOS 12.1.3, macOS 10.14.3, watchOS 5.1.3, and tvOS 12.1.2. Today we’ll talk about iOS 12.1.3 and what it would bring. All these releases do not come with new features or visual changes, but, under the hood, they boast several bug fixes and improvements in stability and performance, as well as some security patches.

iOS 12.1.3 comes out to fix a scrolling bug in Messages, an audio-related issue in iPad Pro, and the graphical error that occurs in some photos. Also, the new iOS 12.1.3 resolved the disconnecting bug that affects CarPlay for the users of iPhone XS, XS Max, or iPhone XR devices.

The new iOS 12.1.3 also addresses some bugs related to Apple’s HomePod smart speaker.

  • Fixes an issue in Messages that could impact scrolling through photos in the Details view
  • Addresses an issue where photos could have striped artifacts after being sent from the Share Sheet
  • Fixes an issue that may cause audio distortion when using external audio input devices on iPad Pro (2018)
  • Resolves an issue that could cause specific CarPlay systems to disconnect from iPhone XR, iPhone XS, and iPhone XS Max
  • Fixes an issue that could cause HomePod to restart
  • Addresses an issue that could cause Siri to stop listening

In short, iOS 12.1.3 update is only boasting several under the hood changes and improvements, so we’ll not get new features or any visuals changes.

Apple Also Revealed Some Changes The New macOS 10.14.3 Brings

Also a minor release designed to fix some bugs and bring some improvements, macOS 10.14.3 update, according to Apple, comes with improved “security, stability, and compatibility of your Mac and includes the following enterprise content: when making a file-sharing connection that uses a valid Kerberos TGT to authenticate, users are no longer prompted to enter credentials.”

Lately, many rumors and leaks regarding Samsung Galaxy S10 emerged on the Internet. Now, recent Samsung Galaxy S10 leaks revealed the pricing of the device and confirmed the 1 Tb model, dubbed as Galaxy S10 Special Edition.

Thanks to the many Samsung Galaxy S10 leaks, we’ve learned more about the upcoming device which would come out on February 20th, 2019. We’ve found out that Galaxy S10 would come out in several models, a Lite variant, a standard one, and also a Galaxy S10 Plus version. Some rumors talked about a Samsung Galaxy S10 Special Edition, and according to recent leaks, we might have it after all.

The Samsung Galaxy S10 Special Edition would come with a larger display, more RAM, 1 Tb of internal storage, and 5G network support. According to the recent rumors, Galaxy S10 Special Edition would cost $1,819. The leaks also revealed the pricing of the rest of the models of the Galaxy S10 series.

According to an Italian tech blog, Samsung Galaxy S10 would cost between $885 for its Lite variant and $1,819 for the Galaxy S10 Special Edition version.

Here’s the full pricing list for the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S10, as revealed by Tutto Android, an Italian tech news portal:

  • Galaxy S10 Lite 6GB RAM / 128GB storage: €779 ($885)
  • Galaxy S10 6GB RAM / 128GB storage: €929 ($1,056)
  • Galaxy S10 8GB RAM / 512GB storage: €1,179 ($1,340)
  • Galaxy S10+ 6GB RAM / 128GB storage: €1,049 ($1,192)
  • Galaxy S10+ 8GB RAM / 512GB storage: €1,299 ($1,477)
  • Galaxy S10+ 12GB RAM / 1TB storage: €1,600 ($1,819)

From the list above, we can see that the device dubbed as Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus with 12 Gb would boast 1 Tb of internal storage and would cost $1,819. That would be the so-called Samsung Galaxy S10 Special Edition. Also, we don’t know if the South Korean tech giant would name it Special Edition. Also, the Galaxy S10 Lite at $885 would be the budget model of Samsung’s anniversary series.
