Pokemon Go To Receive Go Snapshot, An AR Photo Mode, Finally

Pokemon Go remains a favorite game even now, about three years after its initial launch on mobile devices. With many special events, Community Day, new additions, and a lot of many other things, Pokemon Go keeps its fans glued to their smartphones in their struggle to find and catch rare Pokemon monsters. Now, we have excellent news for the players. Pokemon Go will finally receive an AR photo mode, called Go Snapshot.

Different from the already existing AR mode in the game, which allows players to snap Pokemons in the wild only if they catch these funny monsters, the new Go Snapshot AR photo mode permits gamers to take photos of the Pokemons at any time and anywhere whether they grab those monsters or not.

Even better, Go Snapshot allows Pokemon Go players to throw a Pokeball of any Pokemon creature they want and then to take photos of it to save them onto the device or immediately upload on social media.

An Improved AR Photo Mode, Go Snapshot, To Come To Pokemon Go Soon

In short, Pokemon Go will finally get a new AR photo mode, dubbed as Go Snapshot. This mode would permit players to throw a Pokeball with any Pokemon monster they want and take photos with it anywhere and at any time. But there’s more! According to a dataminer, there will also be a new badge in the game to reward those players who take a lot of pictures using Go Snapshot.

As for when would this new AR photo mode come to Pokemon Go, we don’t know yet since Niantic has not revealed anything in this regard. But we know that Niantic already tested Go Snapshot, while an initial build of this feature was even demoed last year.

However, I guess we won’t have to wait long before getting this new AR photo mode in Pokemon Go since Niantic has always released new features in the game shortly after it announced them.

Sony Dropped Out Of E3 2019 – Here’s Why, As Explained By Shawn Layden

Last year, in an announcement that shocked the gaming community, to some extent, Sony dropped out of E3 2019, stating, back then, that it would make some big statements about its future plans before the E3 event of this year. However, we didn’t receive a decent explanation of why Sony decided to move out of E3 2019 until now when PlayStation’s Shawn Layden came out to give more details.

“When we decided to take video games out of CES, back in 1995 during the PlayStation 1 era, E3 served two constituencies – retailers and journalists (…) There was a huge educational component (…) And there was no internet to speak of. So a trade show at that time of year for this nascent industry was exactly what we needed to do,” said Shawn Layden.

“So the trade show became a trade show without a lot of trade activity. The world has changed, but E3 hasn’t necessarily changed with it,” he continued.

Here’s Why Sony Dropped Out Of E3 2019, According to Shawn Layden

“Now we have an event in February called Destination PlayStation, where we bring all retailers and third-party partners to come to hear the story for the year. They’re making purchasing discussions in February. June, now, is just too late to have a Christmas holiday discussion with retailers. So retail has really dropped off. And journalists now, with the internet and the fact that 24/7 there is game news, it’s lost its impact around that,” Layden added.

On the other hand, “PlayStation fans mean the world to us and we always want to innovate, think differently and experiment with new ways to delight gamers. As a result, we have decided not to participate in E3 in 2019. We are exploring new and familiar ways to engage our community in 2019 and can’t wait to share our plans with you,” said Sony’s representatives for Variety last year when the company announced that it will not participate at E3 2019.

In conclusion, Sony dropped out of E3 2019 because the most significant game fair of the year is not anymore suitable for Sony’s plans. So, the Japanese company decided to come up with their own trade shows, focused on PlayStation, mostly.

Apex Legends Is The Newest Battle Royale Game, And It’s Already Very Successful

With no pre-release marketing campaign and without even announcing much about it, Respawn Entertainment, the producers of the popular Titanfall, launched their first Battle Royale game, Apex Legends. The free-to-play game, currently available for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, is already very successful, totaling 25 million players in its first week on the market.

Undoubtedly, Apex Legends, designed by Respawn Entertainment and published by Electronic Arts, is still far behind Fortnite, its main competitor in the Battle Royale segment, which totals more than 200 million players, out of which about 8 million are playing the game at any hour of the day.

Apex Legends will follow the same model that made Fortnite a famous game. Accordingly, Apex Legends would boast seasons just like Fortnite, and it would also receive additional content from time to time. The purpose of Respawn Entertainment is to make Apex Legends the best Battle Royale game in the world and finally dethrone Fortnite.

Apex Legends, The Newest Battle Royale Game, Totaled 25 Million Players Within One Week

“Been waiting all day to tell you this madness… [Apex Legends] hit 25 million players this morning. Read more about it at the link below. Remember we have Season One starting in March and more surprises coming,” announced Vince Zampella of Respawn Entertainment on Twitter.

While this figure represents a significant success for Apex Legends, the newest Battle Royale game in the world has much work to do to dethrone Fortnite. But Respawn Entertainment and Electronic Arts know that, and they are already working on that. First, Apex Legends Season 1 would kick off in March. Next, Season 2 would start in June and would add new Legends to the game. Also, the mobile version of Apex Legends would come out later this year, reportedly.

All that, plus the other changes the devs are preparing for Apex Legends, might indeed make Apex Legends the most successful Battle Royale game ever, finally, challenging the dominance of Fortnite and PUBG, as well, why not.

Pokemon Go Valentine’s Day Event Leaked, And It Might Come With Gen 4 Pokemon

There are many leaks regarding Pokemon Go, but Stardust PokemonGo has been a reliable leaker so far, the majority of the rumors he made available on Twitter turning out correct, eventually. So, we believe the recent leak about 2019 Pokemon Go Valentine’s Day event might also be accurate, but until we get an official confirmation from Niantic, we can’t know for sure.

Anyways, Niantic might confirm the rumors soon, so we’ll all have to be patient about it and wait for the official announcement. In the meantime, we have to discuss other suggestions regarding the 2019 Pokemon Go Valentine’s Day event, too.

Some fans of the game also voiced that during the upcoming Pokemon Go Valentine’s Day event, new Gen 4 Pokemon monster would reach the game. Most likely, they would be Mime Jr and Happiny, the baby evolutions of Mr. Mime and Chansey, respectively.
