Xbox Live Cross-Platform Play On Nintendo Switch To Expand, Microsoft Wants

Microsoft plans to debate the expansion of the Xbox Live cross-platform play on Nintendo Switch during the upcoming Game Developers Conference, which would happen between the 18th and 22nd of March. According to a recently released schedule of the event, Microsoft wants to expand the cross-platform play on Nintendo Switch to other titles besides the popular Minecraft.

Microsoft would also allow devs to preview the SDK responsible for enabling the developers to connect players across multiple platforms, with Nintendo Switch included, in any game that is currently available via Microsoft Store for Windows computers and Xbox.

“Xbox Live is one of the largest, most engaged gaming communities on the planet with decades of experience providing managed game services to developers that save you time and unlock all of the social and engagement features that players love. Now Xbox Live is about to get MUCH bigger. Xbox Live is expanding from 400M gaming devices and a reach to over 68M active players to over 2B devices with the release of our new cross-platform XDK,” reads the report on the panel.

Microsoft Wants to Expand the Xbox Live Cross-Platform Play On Nintendo Switch

“Get a first look at the SDK to enable game developers to connect players between iOS, Android, and Switch in addition to Xbox and any game in the Microsoft Store on Windows PCs,” said Microsoft in the preview of the Game Developers Conference which would take place in March.

“Xbox Live players are highly engaged and active on Xbox and PC, but now they can take their gaming achievement history, their friends list, their clubs, and more with them to almost every screen. This will break down barriers for developers that want their communities to mingle more freely across platforms. Combined with PlayFab gaming services, this means less work for game developers and more time to focus on making games fun,” the tech giant added.

In short, Microsoft would like to expand the Xbox Live cross-platform play on Nintendo Switch, and it would even offer a preview to the SDK responsible for that during the Game Developers Conference which would happen between May 18th and 22n of this year.

Fortnite Save the World Significant Update, Teased by Epic Games

Fortnite Save The World co-op game mode of the prestigious Fortnite title is still less popular than the Battle Royale mode in the before-mentioned game. However, the Save The World mode has a lot of fans, nonetheless, so Epic Games is directing its attention towards it, and the games studio has recently teased to a Fortnite Save The World significant update before a change in the code of the game mode would happen.

The Epic Games’ team behind the Fortnite Save The World game mode recently highlighted some of the changes the devs plan to implement in the co-op mode of Fortnite, on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC versions of the game. All these future modifications indicate that Epic Games will finally make the Fortnite Save The World mode free to play for every Fortnite player, something that the games studio has announced for some time now.

Epic Games Teased An Upcoming Fortnite Save The World Significant Update, Hinting That The Co-op Mode in Fortnite Would Soon Become Free to Play

“Save the World has grown consistently since our launch in July 2017, and Fortnite overall has experienced unprecedented growth. Scaling up for the legions of player heroes who will be joining the fight is key to providing an excellent experience. Clash Royale: The New Update Comes with a New Card, New Game Modes and Improve Trading

It’s January, which means we’ll get the new update. With this update, we’ll get a brand new card, arena, and new gameplay modes.

On Monday, we got the Clash Royale update. The update is balanced and comes with tweaks and changes that take place in 10 troops and spells.

We’ve written this article to give you everything you need to know about this new update.

New Card

We’re looking forward to seeing this new card hit the arena. We’re talking about Wall Breakers. Of course, it was borrowed from Clash of Clans, and they’re basically a pair of skeleton minions – each one of them carries an explosive barrel of dynamite. Their target is towers, and when they get to one, their damage is huge. We’re not sure which Arena will be unlocked, but we think we’ll be surprised with Arena 12 – Spooky Town.

Game Modes

The year of Hogs. This is the brand new game mode that is about to meet the light of the day. It will come with Royal Hogs that spawn every 12 seconds behind your towers or the opponent’s towers. The battle will progress, which means that the elixir will ramp up, and also the Royal Hogs that are spawned. 2v2 is nothing when put face to face with Royal Hogs.

There’s also a mini collection mode, which is similar to Clan Wars Battle Day. Here, you and your enemy are given 40 cards from which you’ll need to create your battle decks. With this new mode, you’ll have to exploit your deck building skills and, why not, try new things.

Improvements in trading

You will now be able to choose four different cards that you are willing to exchange for another one – with another player, of course. If that person accepts the trade, they’ll get to choose which card they want, and then the trade is made. It’s easier to negotiate the trades now because there are many options available for other players.

Clash Royale, a sort of a spinoff of Clash of Clans, is one of the three most-popular games created and released by Supercell games studio for Android and iOS – Clash Royale, Clash of Clans, and Brawl Stars, the latest hit that Supercell released in late-2018. Clash Royale is a fascinating game, combining elements from collectible card games, tower defense, and multiplayer online battle arena.

It’s still a trendy mobile game and one of the top-earners for Supercell, thanks to its in-app purchases. Supercell, on the other hand, is keeping the game updated with new additions, such as those added thanks to Clash Royale January Update, and the Clash Royale Balance Update packs.

Clash Royale Balance Update is Coming Soon With Several Changes
