Resident Evil 4 on Nintendo Switch Lacks a Series Of Important Features

A considerable number of gamers around the world rate Resident Evil 4 as being not only the best of its series but one of the best video games of all times, being considered by many ways ahead its time. Although having a great sense of charm to it, an element is certainly absent from the Nintendo Switch port, and that is motion control.

Although being enthusiastically expected by a large number of players, many of them expecting the Switch version to be the definitive version of the game, unfortunately, it came out a bit disappointing for some.

Resident Evil 4 on Nintendo Switch Lacks A Series Of Important Features

Apparently, on the Switch, there are no differences. There is no gyro and no HD rumble, and not many positive aspects updated. Although it is still 60 fps when trying to aim or move the controller nothing seems to happen, since there were no attempts to factor in the motion control that once made the Wii edition of the game to be so enjoyable.

Although you can access control options in-game, this is not the case for motion control enabling, which is quite surprising considering the special features of the Joy-Con controllers would make it easily replicable. Now Capcom is not really the one to put the blame on since it is obvious that the most facile option was to directly port the already existing HD version, especially when taken into account that most of the gamers will not even notice the fact that motion input is the mission.

However, you cannot disgrace the fact that this is enough reason to conclude that this is not the ‘definitive version’ of the game.

The Community Is Deeply Disappointed

Capcom could eventually patch motion controls later on, but it doesn’t really have to.

The community, however, is truly disappointed about this aspect and believes that “charging almost $30 for a 14-year-old game that lacks features the switch is actually capable of doing” is not the best strategy they could go for.

Virtual Reality Is Coming To Nintendo Switch Via Labo VR Kit

Few of the modern gamers will remember Nintendo’s first dabbling into virtual reality with Labo VR kit. The ill-fated Virtual Boy system was a complete failure, and the company has avoided virtual reality ever since. It is estimated that Nintendo worked over four years on the development of the Virtual Boy.

The device was sold as the first console which can offer stereoscopic 3D graphics. The player wore the headset on his or her head, and a controller was connected to the unit with the help of two cables. As time passed, Nintendo cut the development budget of the Virtual Boy to improve its upcoming Nintendo 64 system.

The Virtual Boy was rushed and released in an incomplete state, attracting the ire of buyers. Critics condemned the steep price, poor performance, and unimpressive 3D effects.

Nintendo Switch To Get VR (Virtual Reality) Thanks To Labo VR Kit

It seems that the company has changed its mind as it recently announced the Labo VR kits. The kit will be featured in the 04 expansion package which is scheduled for release in April, among other expansions which will also premiere on the same date. At first sight, the new VR set appears to be promising. Several pictures reveal a customizable look, with some of the proposed designs being a photo camera, a bird and the head of an elephant, among other possibilities.

As with other Labo products, users will have to unpack and assemble the kit themselves. The headset will be secured on the head of the user with the help of elastic straps, which will also keep the Switch safe. Like other Labo sets, the VR kit will unlock new functionalities which aren’t available otherwise.

The potential is indeed there but the quality of virtual reality images conveyed with the help of a 1280x 720 display may be a bit shabby if you are a VR enthusiast. The full Labo VR kit will be available at a starting price of $79.99, with the option buy the Starter Set and Blaster for $39.99.

Pokemon Sword and Shield Rumors Talk About Two Regions In These Games – Galar and Kalos

As any other awaited game, Pokemon Sword and Shield are the subjects of plenty of speculations that goes over the internet. The latest suggestion, or rumor as we call it, would be that these upcoming Nintendo Switch games would feature two regions: Galar and Kalos.

We do not really have details about the Pokemon Sword and Shield games as they were not released, but at least the titles are known, and we also know that it will be available on the Nintendo Switch in late 2019.

There will be three new starter Pokemon in these games: Scobble, Grookey, and Scorbunny. The new Galar region is also highlighted in the two-minute footage released along with the announcement of the games.

Rumors always find a source from which they feed. So, regarding Pokemon Sword and Shield games, some people saw some sparse details in the video. For example, a leak suggests that a concept called armored evolution will be introduced into the game. That might be true as other leaks from the same source were proven correct.

There are rumors which are based on speculation, too, one being that the games will feature more than one region. To be more precise, another region might also be playable – the Kalos one.

According to the president of The Pokemon Company, Tsunekazu Ishihara, the Pokemon video game journey began almost three decades ago, but it could not have been better than now. New Pokemon Game Might Be Announced For Nintendo Switch During Today’s Nintendo Direct

Nintendo has teased a Pokemon-related announcement which is a planet to take place during the latest Nintendo Direct, scheduled for today, February 27th, at 9 AM ET. Accordingly, it could be something about a new Pokemon game.

The Pokemon media franchise began its life in 1996 when Pokemon Red and Green were released in Japan for the portable Game Boy console. The games were a hit among players, leading to the development of a juggernaut which has become one of the most best-selling franchises of all time (toppled only by Nintendo’s Mario).

The player character is a Pokemon or Pocket Monster trainer, tasked with becoming the best in their region by competing in the Pokemon League and becoming a champion. On their journey, trainers will use Poke Balls to capture wild Pokemon which can be encountered throughout the world. In the classic games, they will have to battle the Pokemon first and then attempt to catch them with the help of the Poke Balls. In Pokemon GO and the Pokemon Let’s Go titles players can throw the balls directly, without the need to battle the Pokemon.

Captured Pokemon can be used in fights against a rival trainer, and each victory will allow them to gain experience points. Once a threshold is reached the Pokemon will level-up, earning new skills at select levels, or evolving into a more powerful form.

New Pokemon Game Might Come To Nintendo Switch Soon

The CEO of the Pokemon Company has previously declared that a new entrance in the series will be released during the second half of 2019. It was also mentioned that the new title would be the most beautiful one in the series when it comes to graphics, as it will be able to harness the full capabilities of the Nintendo Switch console.

Some of the fans hope that the long-awaited Generation 8 will also make an appearance since it is already known that new Pokemon will be featured during the game. Unlike recent titles, the potentially upcoming Pokemon game is targeted at the hardcore fan base, featuring many of the options that aren’t available in Pokémon Go, for example.
