Samsung Galaxy S10 Leak Might Confirm The Removal of The 3.5-mm Headphone Jack

As it is the Galaxy S series’ 10th-anniversary smartphone, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S10 looks fabulous and would come with some great features, including a very powerful triple-camera system on its back. However, a recent Galaxy S10 leak might confirm the removal of the 3.5-mm headphone jack.

Bloomberg revealed some significant details about the next year’s Samsung Galaxy S10 flagship smartphone during what the renowned news portal described as an exclusive disclosure. While some of the information presented by Bloomberg came as a confirmation of previously-released rumors, they also revealed something troubling for the South Korean giant tech company’s fans.

As reported by Bloomberg, Samsung is already testing an S10 prototype without the standard 3.5-mm headphone jack. With such a move, Samsung is following Apple which ditched the 3.5-mm jack a long time ago. However, this move might not be welcomed by Samsung’s fans which appreciated the South Korean company for its stubbornness in keeping the standard headphone jack.

Samsung Galaxy S10 Leak Might Confirm The Removal of The 3.5-mm Headphone Jack

While the replacement of the 3.5-mm headphone jack was already predicted for Galaxy Note 10 (also to come out next year), taking such a move on Samsung Galaxy S10, the company’s anniversary flagship smartphone, would be controversial and the fans might not forgive Samsung.

To mention some of the Galaxy S10’s features, we must remind you that the flagship would come with a triple-camera system on its back, “ultrasonic” in-display fingerprint sensor, new six color schemes, and a more extensive display with thin edges and no notch, to boast a higher screen-to-body ratio. Also, at least one of the flagship’s variants would come with 5G support.

But, for sure, in the case Samsung Galaxy S10 would indeed come out without a 3.5-mm headphone jack, that would represent a problem for the fans, to some extent, of course.

iOS 12.1 To Be Released on Tuesday With eSIM Support, Carriers Suggests

On Tuesday, October 30th, Apple will hold its final major event of the year during which we expect the renowned tech company to present its new iPad Pro 2018 models and the substitute for the MacBook Air laptop line. However, some carriers suggest that iOS 12.1 would also launch tomorrow, along with the rollout of eSIM support for iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, and iPhone XR.

The new iPhone XS, XS Max, and XR include a so-called electronic SIM (eSIM) which enables the Dual-SIM functionality of the new iPhone 2018 models. That feature is not available in China where the new iPhone XS, XS Max, and XR came out with a standard SIM tray which can house two regular SIM cards.

With the new eSIM functionality present in the upcoming iOS 12.1, the new iPhone 2018 models would be able to use two phone numbers for calls and texts, permitting users to take advantage of different offers.

iOS 12.1 To Be Released on Tuesday With eSIM Support

Even though the eSIM function was not available at the launch of the new iPhone XS, XS Max, and XR, the feature appeared implemented in the future iOS 12.1 which might come out tomorrow, during the Apple’s last major event of the year. The rumor emerged after some carriers across the United States and Europe announced the availability of eSIM contracts for the iPhone 2018 models starting with Tuesday, October 30th.

“Hey, Nilesh! Please be informed that Esim functionality for iPhone XS Max will be available effective 30-Oct when Apple releases iOS 12.1 Thank you, Anmol P,” said Bharti Airtel India for 9to5Mac.

In this regard, according to 9to5Mac, Apple Stores will get QR code sheets as of Tuesday, October 30th, allowing customers to set up their eSIM by scanning the respective QR codes with their iPhone XS, XS Max, and XR. Besides this functionality, iOS 12.1 would also bring many features, including 70 new emojis, Depth Control for iPhone XS/XR, and Group FaceTime, among others.

uTorrent vs. BitTorrent – Best Speed and User Interface Comparison

Using a torrent client can be very convenient for the times when you want to access certain files for free. There are numerous options available, but two of the best torrent clients remain BitTorrent and uTorrent. They are both popular, but which one is best? Today we will compare these two to see their advantages and disadvantages.

Speed

Speed is very important for any torrent user. If we analyse the speed of both BitTorrent and uTorrent, we can see that BitTorrent is faster. That is because BitTorrent does not have any ads, and therefore it is faster. The downloading speed for uTorrent is less than 10kb/s while the BitTorrent one is more than 70kb/s. Here BitTorrent is the clear winner.

Ads

Most users consider ads annoying and they try to avoid them. If you are one of those persons, you will prefer BitTorrent, since it is ad-free. UTorrent comes with ads unless you upgrade to the ad-free version which will cost you $4.95/year. You can also choose the Pro version with comes with other features as well, and costs $19.95/year.

User interface

It is important to choose a program that has a simple UI, which is easy to use. Here, both BitTorrent and uTorrrent are pretty similar. In fact, the UI is almost the same. You can see all the torrent options and suggestions in the menu that shows up on the left side. Additionally, that is also where the upgrade options show up.

Then at the bottom you can see an overview for the torrent files that you have added. All the information you need is available there, including things such as speed, trackers, info and files.

Languages

Language support can also be important. Here uTorrent wins, as it is available in 67 languages, while BitTorrent is available in 66 languages.

Cydia Support Is Now Available For The iOS 11 Jailbreak

Jailbreak had its revival and developers managed to cracked recent iOS versions. Recently, there have been some interesting development for iOS 11 users, as they received their first jailbreak that came with Cydia support.

This is not the first jailbreak tool available for iOS 11, but it is the first time users get Cydia. Electra 1.0.1 works with recent Apple devices as well, including iPhone X. Additionally, it is compatible to iOS 11 versions up to iOS 11.1.2. Cydia support makes the jailbreak tool valuable once again.

Electra 1.0.1.

For a while, there was no hope left for the jailbreak community. It appeared that Apple made its latest iOS versions “unbreakable” and no developer was able to crack them. Electra was one of the first tools that managed to achieve the impossible: it brought jailbreak back for the latest iOS versions.

The last Electra release brought Cydia support, something much needed by jailbreak users. With Cydia you can install various tweaks that allow you to enhance and customise your device. Users also receive a safe mode, SSH support, and a theme engine that is built-in.

Electra 1.0.1 is compatible with all the iPhones and iPads out there, as long as they are running iOS 11 to iOS 11.1.2. You have to sideload the application onto your device and you can do this using a Windows PC or a Mac. Then you open your iOS device and run it.

While this is good news for jailbreakers, we do not know exactly how much time Cydia has left. Since jailbreaking was deemed impossible until recently, and Cydia support was not possible, two major repositories were shut down. Right now, BigBoss is the only source for tweaks and apps. That is because jailbreaking is no longer vital and many users don’t need it anymore.

iOS 12.1 Beta 5 Is Download Available With Group FaceTime Video Calls

Back on October 22, Apple released iOS 12.1 beta 5 for developers. The public received the beta a few hours later. Just a week before that, they made the fourth beta available for both developers and public testers.

iOS 12.1 update is expected to bring some noticeable changes. However, beta 5 did not come with anything major. If you plan to install it you should expect some minor security improvements as well as bug fixes.

How to get the update as a developer?

As a developer, you will be the first one to get the new updates. Nonetheless, you can only receive them if you are registered as a developer and you have a configuration profile that is valid.

You can also enable “Automatic Updates” so that all updates will be installed automatically. If you want to do it yourself, you will have to go to the Settings app, head over to General and then choose Software Update. Tap Download and Install and follow the instructions that show up on screen.

iOS 12.1 Beta 5

The fifth iOS 12.1 beta is probably the last one, which means that it is very likely to get the final version this week. Public Beta 5 did not come with any release notes, which means that we do not have that many details.

One important feature that we will get with iOS 12.1 is the launch of Group FaceTime video calls. Initially, we were supposed to receive this with iOS 12, but Apple decided that it will push it back. Nonetheless, it appears that numerous users won’t get it. According to the user guide for iOS 12.1 released by Apple, this feature won’t be available for iPhone 5S, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPad Air, iPad Mini 2, iPad Mini 3, iPad Mini 4 and 6th generation iPod Touch.
