Apple Streaming Service Might Be Revealed Today

Apple is about innovation, and the company has always managed to reinvent itself and bring new things. It appears that Apple is ready to make another step, and it seems that the company is planning to get into the television business. While not many details are available, the launch of a new Apple streaming service is expected.

The biggest clue is the fact that J.J. Abrams (director of Star Wars), Reese Witherspoon, and Jennifer Aniston are expected to show up at an Apple event. “It seems fairly obvious they are launching a new video service,” declared Techsponential technology market analyst Avi Greengart.

Will Apple streaming service be successful?

Apple has released mostly successful products, and it has loyal customers. However, when it comes to streaming, the company might discover that there is plenty of competition. It is hard to tell whether Apple will be able to bring something new. “If the content is compelling enough, people will subscribe,” Greengart adds. “This is not new, but it is hard to do well.”

However, Apple has millions of users that it can count on, which is a significant advantage.

“Apple’s business model is essentially a subscription business model,” explains analyst Laura Martin. “Apple’s access to more than 900 million unique users globally, most of them among the wealthiest individuals in the world, plus its culture of creating hardware and services with proven commercial appeal makes it well-positioned.”

Apple needs this streaming service

There is a chance that Apple desperately needs a new successful product. The iPhone sales numbers aren’t disclosed anymore, and it appears that the smartphones aren’t selling as well as Apple hoped to.

An Apple streaming service would help the company expand their market, and it will be “a pivotal step for Cupertino-based firm in further driving its services flywheel and entering the ‘streaming content arms race’ which is clearly starting to take form,” according to Daniel Ives of Wedbush Securities.

Everyone already knows by now that Apple is expected to hold an event at its headquarters in Los Angeles today, known as “It’s Show Time,” where it will most likely make some big announcements. The tech giant will probably introduce some new releases, so we’re definitely looking forward to this event.

Based on some recent rumors, it seems that the company might announce a new iPhone during the event. The new phone would be able to charge other devices, like the Apple Watch, wirelessly.

This new rumored feature has been apparently planned by Chinese vendors who mentioned in a pre-release report that Apple will offer wireless charging, as well as bigger battery size and improved cameras.

We’ve already seen this wireless charging feature being used by Samsung and Huawei, so it looks like Apple doesn’t want to be left behind. The new phone has been unofficially given the name of iPhone 11.

Apple might have offered us an accidental sneak peek of one of an important new feature for iPhone. This upgrade is one that all users wanted for quite some time. On Apple’s Australian website we can see an image of the AirPower wireless charging system.

With this technology, iPhone users will be able to charge their smartphones faster than ever. The image was found hidden in the AirPods under the <figure class=image-wireless-airpower>.

In the picture, we can see an iPhone XS and the AirPods 2 wireless charging case. They are both charging at the same time on the mat. The mat can also be used to charge the Apple Watch wirelessly.

The AirPower technology is something that iPhone owners have been waiting for. At the moment, iPhone wireless charging is limited to 7.5 W, despite the fact that the Qi specification is based on works at up to 15 W.

With AirPower we should expect 15 W as the minimum. AirPower was announced by Apple back in 2017 when the iPhone X was announced as well. In fact, if we take a look at the image discovered on Apple’s Australian page, we can see that it an updated version of the promotional image released back then. In that picture, there was an iPhone X and a charging case, which are now replaced by the iPhone XS and the wireless AirPods 2 Case.

Apple is planning a big event which will take place on March 25th, and we expect a couple of important announcement. Judging by the latest news, it appears that AirPower will finally be released as well. That is an excellent thing for iPhone owners, who have been waiting for this announcement for a long time.

iPhone 11 Leak Revealed Unexpected Design

A new iPhone 11 leak showing an unattractive prototype design for future iPhone series has recently appeared online, and it’s hard to believe that this will be Apple’s preferred choice for its upcoming phones.

The new leaked image with the controversial design of iPhone 11 (or iPhone XI) comes from reliable Japanese website Macotakara. It seems that this design has been already confirmed by some contacts from Apple’s Chinese supply chain. As we can easily see in the picture, if the leak proves to be true, the rumored iPhone XI will come with a triple camera array that is enclosed in a large square on the device’s back.

We are definitely not excited about this news, as probably most of us can agree that this is the worst iPhone 11 design from all the leaks that we’ve seen. That is not the first time when we see the design, however, as well-known @OnLeaks initially leaked it in January. Everyone agreed back then that this design looks too bad to be used by Apple. The same opinion still stands, so the recent leak comes as a surprise.

An unexpected decision from Apple regarding iPhone 11

When this design appeared online back in January, OnLeaks also leaked a second iPhone prototype that was instead received very well by fans. Now, the fact that Macotakara’s sources say that the tech giant has chosen the worst option for its next iPhone is quite shocking.
Macotakara also pointed out that Apple has changed the design a little bit, making the three rear cameras symmetrical.

Even so, we still cannot believe that the company would choose such an ugly design, which isn’t even original. Huawei has already used such square triple camera setup in the Mate 20 Pro. In that phone, though, the whole camera housing has a central position, which is still better than the iPhone XI prototype design.

Apple Is Reportedly Working On A Regular iPad and A New 10.5-Inch iPad 2019 Tablet

It is already known that Apple is working on the next generation of iPad devices and the internet is filled with rumors about the upcoming tablets. A popular source claims that Apple will release a regular 10.2-inch iPad and a new 10.5-inch iPad tablet that would not be a part of the iPad Pro range.

The source is quite reliable since information offered in the past was confirmed by the official announcement which arrived at a later date. The same source notes that the devices won’t be released at the same time.

It looks like Apple wants to offer a more affordable version of the iPad Pro, which should convince more users to opt for a device with a bigger screen. The supposed price range is unclear at this point, as it could vary between the $329 price for the basic iPad models and up to $799 if we are looking at the latest iPad Pro models which were released in 2018.

Apple is reportedly developing a new 10.5-inch iPad 2019 tablet, not part of the iPad Pro lineup

The same source leaked the name of the 2018 iPhone smartphones before anyone else managed to find out about them and anticipated that the 2018 iPad Pro would have a thickness of 5.9 mm.

Other sources believe that the staple 9.7-inch model will be offered even if Apple is pushing larger displays. Some claim that Apple will be maintaining the looks of the previous generation. That should be great news for some users since it may mean that the tablet will arrive with the iconic headphone port, a feature that has started to disappear in the recent years, as Bluetooth headsets and headphones continue to grow in popularity.

A more extensive selection of devices could be beneficial for Apple since tablets with a bigger screen could attract some users, but who do not need the additional power offered by the Pro versions. A revamped iPad Mini 5 is also expected to be announced at some point. Some announcements could be made during an upcoming Apple conference which is scheduled for March 25th.
