iOS 12 Jailbreak: Nullpixel From Electra Team Said A Jailbreak Solution For iOS 12 Would Come Out

Every iOS user who would like to get more control over its Apple devices waits for a new iOS jailbreak solution for every new iOS release. And according to the Electra team member Nullpixel, an iOS 12 jailbreak would come out, eventually, even though the new Apple operating system for mobile devices is weeks away.

Nullpixel expressed his opinions on this subject on Twitter, even though we’re at least one month apart from the official release of the new iOS 12. However, iOS 12 public beta releases allowed the jailbreak community to explore every possible way that would permit them to develop a jailbreak solution once the new Apple’s operating system launches.

iOS 12 jailbreak is possible and would come out, eventually, says Nullpixel from Electra team

Nullpixel, a member of the Electra team, explained on Twitter that it would typically be possible for the devs to develop an iOS 12 jailbreak. And that assumption might be correct, taking into account that the Electra team was behind many jailbreak solutions, including the iOS 11 jailbreak.

“There will be a jailbreak for a signed iOS 12 version. Not 100% confident but pretty sure. Don’t quote me if it doesn’t happen,” said Nullpixel from Electra team on Twitter.

Are we going to have an iOS 12 jailbreak solution soon after iOS 12 rolls out?

The jailbreak community started to experience many challenges in developing jailbreak solutions since Apple began to implement better security measures in its mobile operating system.

Also, more and more users don’t want to blow up their iPhone warranty by installing jailbreak solutions. In other words, limiting to Apple’s operating system as it seems the best solution for many users of iPhone and iPad.

Nullpixel and his colleagues at the Electra team are still working on the iOS 12 jailbreak. However, it remains to be seen whether the new jailbreak solution for iOS 12 will be available as soon as the new Apple operating system for its mobile devices launches. It might be possible, but unlikely, to be honest.

iOS 12 Public Beta 3 Download Available with New Fixes and Improvements

While we recover from previous day excesses, Apple will be releasing their latest iOS 12 Public Beta soon. After Public Beta 2 was launched, at the same time Public Beta 3 is also being tested, and we are finally ready to get excited by what Apple made iOS 12 offer us.

Finally, as a post-Prime Day gift, Apple has released iOS 12 Public Beta 3 on the heels of Developer Beta 4.

Iy you do not have your Apple device set up to automatically update your software when you plug it in, go to Settings > General > Software Update and download the new version of iOS.

So you will not get bored while waiting for your iDevice to update its software, here is a list of what issues were fixed and which ones are still to be fixed.

What Is Fixed

  • If you were often annoyed by not being able to get your Fortnite fix or your favorite Netflix show stopped streaming? It is time to calm down. Now both apps will run the smoothest possible.
  • Your workout route vaporized without you finishing it? You can find it now.
  • Now no dates will be mixed up in the Calander app so you will no longer be late to meeting or forget a loved one’s birthday.
  • Using your phone number, you can register for FaceTime again.
  • Try again if you were having issues with your kid’s devices and Screen Time. Even though not all slew bugs were fixed, it is enough not to make you tear your hair.
  • Now you can sync Voice Memos to iTunes if you want.

What is not fixed

  • If you still see non-localized language in the localized text, that issue is still there.
  • T-Mobile is still hated by iOS12, and when handing off Wi-Fi calls to their network, they will drop calls. Upsy.
  • Between registered devices, Screen Time usage data and data still do not sync. Also, due to the synced devices, the “Picked Up” data may be inflated.
  • Wallet not only opens but it crashes.

Houdini Semi-jailbreak for iOS 12 Beta Working Soon

We already know that CoolStar is working on releasing an Electra jailbreak for iOS 11.3.1 and that the Houdini iOS 11.3.1 semi-jailbreak is out in the public domain.

Now we have some updates regarding the Houdini tool that seems to be already working on iOS 12 beta devices. The developer of the Houdini semi-jailbreak, Abraham Masri, has recently released an update for Houdini that has been received very well by the jailbreaking community. This is of course enough to prove that “jailbreaking isn’t dead” and that there is still a battle going on between Apple and the jailbreak community.

Thus, this newest update comes with tremendous excitement, as it is obvious that iOS 12 has its vulnerabilities that will be exploited even more in the future.

The information that we have so far comes from an image that was shared by Masri himself, showing Houdini running on an iPhone that already has iOS 12 installed. Also, based on a secondary post that reads “Just to be clear, the exploit used in the screenshot is not very powerful. It allows Houdini to write anything outside the sandbox but not read”, it looks like a new exploit is being used in order to allow this version of Houdini to function on iOS 12.

Another thing that we saw revealed in the post is that this semi-jailbreak tool may not be very “powerful” yet. Nevertheless, we are excited to see that Masri already started working on trying to liberate Apple’s iOS 12 platform. As we can probably expect, Apple will continue to launch new versions of iOS 12 into the testing community. They will certainly try to make the newer versions of the software as secure as possible.

We can definitely count on both security researchers and developers to create the jailbreaking tools that the community needs. Also, while the iOS 12 platform is still in beta, we cannot expect anything final and official to be launched. But we do hope things will get updated for when iOS 12 goes live to the public later this year.

Android P vs. iOS 12: Performance and Updates Comparison

Since both Android P and iOS 12 are going to be released later this year, it’s inevitable that users will attempt to compare them. Of course, some similarities are going to appear, intentionally or not. After all, the destination of these products is exactly the same market. Now, with some of the features more or less confirmed, we can already draw some early comparisons between them.

We’ll take a look at some of the features already revealed, in order to see just how similar these two mobile operating systems are.

Digital Health

It looks like Google and Apple are going to fight phone addiction by implementing apps that will help you control the time you spend on your mobile device. In addition to that, both companies decided to expand the parental control options.

Artificial Intelligence Features

The two companies decided to focus on improving the AI-powered features. Google Assistant and Siri will help you organize your phone and personalize your apps on a much deeper level, thanks to more advanced machine learning technology.

Performance and Updates

While iOS 12’s main focus is an improved performance and the speed of accessing apps, with the introduction of Android P, Google is trying to solve an ongoing issue with the updates.

Notifications

In this area, we can see more changes in iOS 12, mostly because Apple is trying to catch up with Google. Apple’s main aim is to expand the user’s control over the notifications, and to further organize them.

Gesture Navigation

Since Apple is trying to marginalize the usage of buttons on all of its devices, with iOS 12 we will see an introduction to the advanced gesture navigation system on the iPad. Google will also use this system to improve the home screen, while keeping the three-button option in place at the same time.

Conclusions

As we can see, since both Android P and iOS 12 are trying to achieve the same goals, a wide range of similar features will be used in the two operating systems. Of course, to see them in action, we will have to wait for the official release of the products.

iOS 12 vs. iOS 11.4 – Performances are Lacking On The New Model

iOS 12 is the first version of iOS that offers support for mobile phones over 5 years old, with the iPhone 5S being the phone that has been receiving support for so long along with some iPad models. In the video below we have a comparison of 7 iPhone models of running iOS 12 and iOS 11.4, and the second operating system starts faster.

iOS 12 is not faster than iOS 11.4 even when it comes to unlocking Face ID, and the situation is no different in the case of Touch ID, so until now Apple’s promises are quite a lie. In terms of opening the camera, the iOS 12 opens it slightly faster than iOS 11.4, much the same for other applications, but the differences are minor. iOS 12 was presented by Apple with high percentage gains in performance when it comes to opening applications, but in reality, promises are not seen.

iOS 12 is slightly faster than iOS 11.4 in some situations when the first access is made, but at second access things are no longer the same, so overall it’s unlikely to feel the world’s performance boost. Despite this, the fact that Apple has promised a big increase in performance for iOS 12 will “convince” some that this has happened, although so far it does not.
