Pokemon Go Community Day for May Brings Torchic, The Gen 3 Pokemon

Niantic Labs has recently announced next month’s Community Day, adding details about the Pokemon that will be featured during the event.

Pokemon Go: May Community Day

The event will take place on Sunday, May 19, and it will run for three hours, as usual. It will start at 3 PM and end at 6 PM local time. During those three hours, players can earn three times more Stardust for every Pokemon they get to catch. Lure Modules will also get boosted to be active for three hours.

The incoming Community Day will feature a Gen 3 Pokemon – Torchic. This Gen 3 Pokemon, is a Fire-type monster that will appear in the wild more often than normal so that players can easily add it to their collection.

Looking back at the past Community Day events, players should also have a chance at catching a Shiny Torchic. If you can evolve a Torchic into Blaziken up to 7 PM during the Community Day event, you will earn an exclusive move. So far, Niantic hasn’t revealed the special move. However, we should learn about it in the week of the event.

For more information on the event, go to the official Pokemon website.

Current Events – Eggstravaganza, Shiny Meltan

Until the Community Day in May begins, here’s what you can do:

Catch a Shiny Buneary and hatch as many baby Pokemon as you can, because the Pokemon annual Eggstravaganza event will end on April 23.

Also, you can catch the rare Mythical Pokemon Shiny Meltan if you open a mystery box that you can get from Pokemon: Let’s Go, Pikachu or Eevee (you just have to own a game or know someone who owns the game to transfer you on Pokemon from those games to Pokemon Go). You can open the Mystery Box starting with April 24 – 4 PM ET, until May 5 – 4 PM ET. A Meltan might appear once you open the box, and it can even be Shiny!

Legendary Latios and Buneary are the new shiny Pokemon that Pokemon Go players can grab

Pokemon Go may have been released almost three years ago, but millions of people continue to play and enjoy the title. Niantic, the developer of the game, will hold three Fests this year, one in the USA, one in Europe and the last in Asia. All of them will take place during the summer. The next community day is May 19, but the details remain elusive.

The popular augmented reality title allows players to take the role of a Pokemon trainer as they explore the world in real-time. Some Pokemon can only be encountered in select areas of the world and players can visit Poké Stops located near landmarks to collect valuable resources. While the game is available for free on Android iOS devices, players have the option to spend real-world money on certain items.

Dedicated trainers will also get the opportunity to obtain the legendary Latios Pokemon by attending a special Raid event. The Pokemon will be featured as a Raid boss until April 22, and those who are lucky will collect a shiny Pokemon version of Latios. Also, a shiny variant of Buneary will be there for the grabs.

New Shiny Pokemon To Come To Pokemon Go Tomorrow

Tomorrow, on October 1st, Pokemon Go would add the new Research Tasks. However, according to the YouTuber Reversal, new shiny Pokemon characters would also come into the game. Namely, shiny versions of Krabby and Kingler would be added tomorrow. Reversal also mentioned that he obtained these details directly from Niantic, the Pokemon Go devs.

In comparison to regular characters in the game, shiny Pokemon ones in Pokemon Go have alternate coloration than usual which makes them very rare in the game. On the other hand, since Krabby is not a rare character in the game, we could see it as a reward for one of the new research tasks.

Also, Pokemon Go would add a new variant of Spinda tomorrow. Spinda is a Normal-Type Pokemon that boasts multiple spot patterns the devs modified month by month.

On the other hand, Pokemon Go is also in the middle of a huge change regarding the Legendary Pokemon Mewtwo which is now a regular Raid Boss for the first time. Also, the Mythical Pokemon Deoxys will be among the EX Raid Bosses beginning starting with October 1st, while Beldum will be the center of the upcoming Pokemon Go Community Day of October. Besides, a Halloween event in Pokemon Go is expected this month, too.

In short, tomorrow, October 1st, new shiny Pokemon will come to Pokemon Go. More specifically, shiny version of Krabby and Kingler would come tomorrow. Also, we should expect other changes, as well, according to Niantic.
