Huawei Mate X Foldable Smartphone To Come Out In June

A new report published by a reliable source claims that Huawei plans to release its foldable smartphone June. The device is named Huawei Mate X, and the basic model will cost $2,580.

A Chinese retail site listed the device at one point but it seems that the entrance has been removed. The competition is hard at work, and the anticipated Samsung Galaxy Fold will be arriving on the market towards the end of April. Samsung’s device is quite pricy at $1,980, but it is considerably cheaper in comparison to Huawei’s offering.

The Huawei Mate X will offer support for 5G technology, a feature which is provided by the Kirin 980 chipset paired with 8GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage space. Users can expand the available memory with the help of a memory card with a capacity of up to 256GB. Those who wish to use a memory card will have to forfeit one of the two SIM trays since expandable memory can only be used in tandem with the NM storage card offered by Huawei.

Huawei Mate X foldable smartphone to sport two powerful batteries

Huawei Mate X’s power will be provided by two batteries which offer a combined capacity of 4,500 mAh. The SuperCharge protocol will allow users to charge their device from 0 to 85% in 30 minutes. Owners will be able to unfold the device into a lavish 8-inch tablet.

When the device is unfolded, the front and back panels will turn into operative screens which can be used efficiently. Mate X owners will be able to take impressive selfies by using the three-sensor camera created in collaboration with Leica.

Some voices claim that the first generation of foldable devices will face some problems. One of the questions which haven’t been answered by Huawei involves the maximum number of folds which can take place before the display will be compromised. Huawei has noted that durability and usability are key aspects, but it remains to be seen if the device will manage to impress potential customers when it becomes available.

Microsoft To Combine Xbox Live Gold With Xbox Game Pass [which just got Minecraft]

We just talked about the incredible sale of Minecraft in the past 10 years since it launched on PC, and it’s still rising. The sales will continue to get higher not just on PC, but also on more platforms if Microsoft will combine the two subscriptions into a single one.

As reported by Twitter user @h0x0d, we could see a new service from Microsoft called Xbox Game Pass Ultimate:

https://twitter.com/h0x0d/status/1114159135048646657?s=20

This person claims that the service will only be $14.99 per month, which is quite the bargain, considering Xbox owners will save almost $5 per month if Microsoft really wants to combine the services. As The Verge pointed out, Microsoft will certainly reveal something about this in the next weeks when they will unveil the disc-less Xbox One S All-Digital edition.

Why should we trust what @h0x0d tweeted?

It’s simple: it makes perfect sense, and it’s a good strategy, which has been used in the past by Microsoft. Remember the Xbox All Access subscription which bundled together with a leased Xbox One X, Xbox Live Gold, and Xbox Game Pass for $34.99/month? Probably that one-time offer was testing the reaction of users and how the bundling service was received by players.

Considering all the aggressive marketing around the Xbox Game Pass and the fact that the disc-less Xbox One is counting on the digital games offered through the Microsoft services, a bundle named Xbox Game Pass Ultimate isn’t far-fetched.

The games added to the Xbox Game Pass since it launched are Sea of Thieves and Crackdown 3, and Minecraft was recently added. Microsoft is also working on the xCloud streaming service to let players stream games on different platforms (PCs, smartphones/tablets, consoles).

The Elder Scrolls: Blades – Bethesda Gives Early Access For Player Feedback

This weekend, Bethesda announced that they’re opening the gates for The Elder Scrolls: Blades, allowing more players to get in the Early Access stage of the game. What were the first opinions from major reviewers? Unfortunately for the developer, most of the feedback was negative, all complains were surrounding microtransactions and the chests!

Let’s check out the post on Twitter from The Elder Scrolls:

As you can see, the developers have acknowledged the chest issue and are looking into getting more feedback from the players. If you haven’t tried to play The Elder Scrolls: Blades yet, here’s a few stuff you should know about and why the loot chests are so annoying.

Bethesda Tweaking The Game as We Play It

Player feedback is essential, and it must be taken into consideration. So, those who played The Elder Scrolls: Blades, might have noticed that while the grind is pretty big, and the side quests a bit dull, the game is free-to-play though. Nonetheless, looking at the majority of people writing about the game, the microtransactions are making the game unbearable – and here’s where we talk about the chests you find in dungeons. To open a chest, you have to wait from five seconds (if it’s a wooden chest) to six hours (if it’s a gold chest). Of course, you can skip the waiting with some premium currency. That’s where many players got frustrated.

Skipping past the waiting for chests, the plot is interesting. You’re a former member of the Blades group, and you come home and see everything ablaze. Your goal is to rebuild the entire place on your own. It sure is a lot of work ahead, and we can not wait to see how the story evolves!

For the players that will not invest any money in the game, waiting can be annoying, but let’s admit it, all free to play games with microtransactions add certain limits to the game to make a premium user feel like they’re getting their money’s worth.

How will Bethesda play the premium feel card? Will they tweak the chests and make players pay for other features? Will we see silver lockpicks added in the game for the chest to make them less disappointing?

We can only wait and see what the devs will announce, hopefully taking into consideration the player feedback. Check back here for more news and if you have some thoughts about the game, head over to The Elder Scrolls Twitter page.

The Elder Scrolls: Blades is available on Android an iOS, as an early access. If you haven’t signed up, check out this article to learn how to do it.
