Xbox Two: Everything You Should Know About The Upcoming Microsoft Console

The Xbox One is an iconic console and it marked numerous childhoods. However, that era is coming to an end, as Microsoft is preparing to release Xbox Two. More than that, Sony is also preparing to release the next-generation hardware. This means that their rivalry will continue in the future, and it will be interesting to see who wins the next battle.

Three new consoles

It appears that the next generation of consoles from Microsoft might in fact come with three new consoles. The names for them are Scarlett Arcade “Lockhart”, Scarlett Pro “Anaconda” and Xbox “Maverick”. These are solely the codenames for them, and we don’t know whether Microsoft intends to use them.

We don’t know whether Maverick will be part of the Scarlett family. Opinions differ here. While some reports believe that it will be a Scarlett console, others disagree. However, everyone agrees that the console will be released in 2019. It has also been reported that this console will be the cheapest one out of these three.

Meanwhile, it appears that gamers will have to wait a bit longer for Lockhart and Anaconda. It has been reported that these two consoles will be released just in time for the holiday season in 2020. The Anaconda one is expected to be the most expensive one.

Expect some amazing games

It appears that Microsoft has some big plans when it comes to the game lineup. Microsoft reportedly offers an unlimited budget to game studios in order to create the games of their “wildest dreams”. When asked about the budget this is what Microsoft replied: “I don’t think you understand, that’s not our question, our question is what games do you want to make? We are Microsoft and we have the budget, we just want to know what game you want to do, what are your wildest dreams.”

More and more Android Owners are Willing to Become iPhone XR Users

It’s no secret that Apple smartphones are expensive. It’s true that they put top notch technology in their users’ hands, but a lot of people have given up the idea of buying the latest devices released by the Cupertino-based company because their price is too high.

Even if the demand rate and customers’ interest in buying the newest iPhones is lower than Apple initially expected, the end of this year comes with good news for the company founded by Steve Jobs. It looks like their lower-priced handset, iPhone XR, is convincing more and more Android owners to become Apple customers.

A report recently published by the Consumer Intelligence Research Partners shows that 16% of iPhone XR buyers were people who switched from Android phones. This happened only in October 2018, the month when the handset was launched, but the number increased as time passed. And that’s not all! Around 32% of phones sold in the U.S during that same month were iPhone XRs.

A lower-priced iPhone made a lot of Android users curious to see what it has to offer

The aforementioned report also states that iPhone XR is actually the most popular smartphone from those released by Apple recently. This means that even the company’s regular customers preferred this variant over the more expensive ones. Let’s face it, no tech fan will miss the opportunity of having a phone that combines outstanding technology with a more affordable price.

Apple could turn the launch of iPhone XR into a habit. This means that they might consider releasing a more affordable smartphone with the same top notch features as expensive devices every year. On the other hand, the Cupertino-based company is preparing outstanding releases for next year, so they could be counting on those tech wonders for increasing their number of users.

New Google Chrome UI Is Disappointing, Upsetting Users

The new Google Chrome UI is disappointing, and we already know that as the new user interface rolled out in September with Chrome 69 update, and users have been complaining about it since then. Until now, Google allowed Chrome users to switch back to the old UI, but since the recently released Chrome 71 version, the Internet company removed that option, so we’re now stuck with the ugly, disappointing new Google Chrome UI.

The new Google Chrome user interface was designed by the Internet company with mobile devices in mind, so it looks like a forced mobile interface of the popular browser dragged to laptops and desktop PCs.

The rounded tabs are hard to distinguish when users open multiple tabs, while the homepage shortcuts are appearing rounded, small and only boast the favicon of the sites and not a thumbnail with the last page users visited on those websites.

New Google Chrome UI Is Disappointing, Upsetting Users

Google Chrome users have reported their disappointment with the new Chrome UI since it came out with Google Chrome 69. However, the users could switch back to the old user interface. That until now, as, with the Google Chrome 71 installment, Google removed the option to go back to the former, and much better, interface.

Since the Chrome 71 update rolled out earlier this month, users have been complaining about the issues the new UI is boasting on either social media or directly to Google. The majority of those users even asked the giant Internet company to reactivate the Google flag option to allow users to switch back to the old Google Chrome UI.

Many users tackled the change by downgrading to Chrome 70. However, Google doesn’t recommend this solution.

“Please don’t do this. As a Chrome dev, we would really rather you use another browser than try to lock yourself on an old version of Chrome. There are serious consequences to this, and much like choosing not to be vaccinated, the choice affects other people besides just you,” said Google engineer Peter Kasting.

Electra 1.1.0 Update Jailbreak Toolkit Available

The Electra jailbreak toolkit is one of the most popular jailbreaking solutions that are currently available. It is compatible with iPhones, iPads and iPods making it perfect for those that own several devices.

Electra is very popular due to the fact that it is a semi-untethered jailbreaking solution. After the initial jailbreak users are able to reboot the device and it will boot to the original non-jailbreak state. Users can enable jailbreak at any time by running the dedicated Electra app that can be easily installed on their device. The app also offers access to select repositories.

The latest update brings a variety of new and useful features. Read below to see what is new:

The overall performance of the app has been greatly increased as it is now more stable and reliable. The new Sileo Package Manager is also available.

The update features new and improved APT and dpkg packages for Sileo.

Users can opt to install either a base or a GUI package of Cydia in order to run it alongside Sileo.

The random data abort kernel panics have been fixed.

The freezes that led to a kernel panic caused by a watchdog timeout have been addressed.

The vfs account exploit has been improved and it is now more stable and reliable.

The preview build of Sileo can now be downloaded and installed from the default Electra repository.

What to keep in mind:

While the build includes the brand new Sileo Package Manager it is still a preview build. This makes it similar to beta and certain features may not work properly while some bugs could also be present.

In order to benefit from this update, you will have to download and install the latest Electra version for your device.

Those that want to jailbreak their device by using Electra should take into consideration that only devices that are running iOS 11.3.1 and lower are compatible.

The update can be found on the official website.

New Google Chrome Exploit Might Freeze Windows 10 Computers

Users discovered a new Google Chrome vulnerability that can be employed by cyber attackers to freeze Windows 10 devices. This Google Chrome exploit that might freeze Windows 10 computers has already been used by hackers to block users access to their PCs by opening up a pop-up window that informs users that their devices have been infected with a virus.

The Google Chrome bug employs JavaScript codes to build a loop and make it impossible for users to shut down the malicious tab or the browser itself. The intriguing part of all this is that the cyber attackers used this exploit to make it look like an official announcement coming directly from Microsoft.

The worse part of this new Google Chrome exploit is that it might freeze Windows 10 computers because it would spike your CPU and RAM usage to about 100%. Even though it might look legit, like coming from Microsoft, that is nothing else than a scam, designed to steal private data and even money.

How to tackle this new Google Chrome exploit that might freeze Windows 10 computers

Until Google would release an update to address this bug, luckily, you can tackle the new Google Chrome exploit that might freeze Windows 10 computers by following the next steps:

  • Access Task Manager with Ctrl+Alt+Del or straight from the Taskbar;
  • Go to the Processes tab;
  • Right-click on Google Chrome or GoogleChrome.exe;
  • Click on End Process Tree;

Also, make sure you set Google Chrome not to restore closed tabs, as otherwise, the malicious website would keep popping up. Uninstalling Google Chrome and then reinstalling it would also deal with the before-mentioned exploit, but if you have not synced your bookmarks and passwords with your Google Account, you’ll lose that data.

On the other hand, never fall in the scammers’ traps, and check out if the information popping up on your screen is always coming from a reliable source. Microsoft, also, will never use a pop-up window to inform users about a possible virus.
